FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this. I’m so glad you’re reviewing the GB350S (CB350RS). I currently ride the H’ness CB350 (GB350) and would love for viewers around the world to take a look at Honda’s new array of its 350cc models and you’ve made that happened! I hope you’ve tried out the GB350 & GB350C (CB350) whilst you’re at it in Japan. Not a speed demon these machines but a proper cruiser for sure. More torque and horsepower than the Royal Enfield’s array of 350cc models and a definite thumping bopbopbop sound too for sure. I love RE but Honda’s engine reliability and refinery beats RE overall in specifications and smoothness etc. However, an RE is an RE, the bike’s character is still unbeatable.
Awesome video...I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 4 years and loved getting out and exploring on a Honda much like this one. Kyoto is a beautiful city as well.
Thanks for the review! I have Gb350s here in Tokyo and cruised around the south alps, both coastlines and tons of city touring. 15 000km cruising and zero problems with it!
I could see the gb350 definitely being quite desirable in the uk, I imagine a lot of people on the fence who are wanting a RE 350 would probably just go to the Honda on the name alone
The cb350rs is definitely a better motorcycle than the hunter 350. It's extremely more reliable and refined. The hunter tho has more character and a better 2nd gear
The main problem with RE 350 bikes is that service intervals are too short... 5000 km is hideous. I guess Honda kept the usual 12000 km as on all other models in their lineup.
Thx a lot for this nice video about nice people...nice bikes and nice nature and architecture. Go on with this kind of views about foreign countries and their cultures. Regards from Germany and stay healthy.

I quite like the X350 and X500. I am thoroughly enjoying these Japan videos, having lived there as I told you in my comments last video. The GB350 is a good little bike. The Kawasaki Estrella 250 has been in the Asian market since 1992. I had a Suzuki DR250SH in Tokyo. When I was over there the GBP was worth 250 yen. In 1992, I bought a new Honda XRV750 Africa Twin RD04 for 3,000 GBP when they were over 5,300 GBP in England. Great video. Nick
What an excellent video. I really enjoyed your style and brief cultural tour of that beautiful country. Never been, but by all accounts the cities are spotless and very hospitable.👍👍
Since you liked the GB350, when you're back in the UK, try to seek out a Honda XBR500. It's from the late 80s and was Honda's take on a modern big single roadster. Even rarer (Japan and USA only) was the GB500TT, which was basically the same bike but dressed up as a Velocette (perhaps the first of the retros?) Google a photo if you've never seen one - I think it's definitely your style.
Hi from a GB350 owner in Australia. 👋 If you have time Kurama-dera is an incredible temple in the mountains. Short train ride to get there from Kyoto so you can take your travel companions too.
Great to see you experiencing Japanese culture , it is both unique and fascinating at the same time, as for the Honda 350 , it's plain Jane looks didn't do it any favours (although it was better looking than the small Harley's) however I am sure it would sell well if it was imported in to the UK.
My daughter has a Suzuki VL250 Intruder here in Oz; I bought one too, to make things easier whilst she was learning to ride, as local laws require a fully-licenced shadow rider to accompany the learner. Nice little bike for what it is, though I definitely prefer my Guzzi!

@@ChancellorBeeHaw I think the Honda 350 is retro...similar to the Hondas of the late 60s and 70s, whereas the RE Classic is 1950s and early 60s in appearance. I just watched a video of the 1959 BSA A7 Shooting Star and it looks really similar to the Classic. The protection of forestry resources in Japan is legendary, much to the detriment of other, more foolish countries [like mine] that has exported thousand of tons of native hard-wood to Japan. I'm glad you're enjoying your visit. It shows !
Small correction: the X350 and X500 are actually Harley's collaboration with QJ Motors from China, which is not sold in India. Harley's exclusively Indian endeavour is with Hero MotoCorp, and is called the X440 - a long stroke, air and oil cooled single, which is closer to the Enfield 500s.
This bike sells as the Honda CB350 Highness here in India. It's actually quite popular. It's the perfect royal Enfield that Honda built. I personally feel it's gearing is a bit on the taller side. A great machine overall though
My neighbor had a Honda 600cc two seater convertible. One of the first Hondas introduced to NA. Totally unsuited for NA markets but it got them started until the Civic was introduced. So small, in modern times, you would put it in your SUV as a spare in case it broke down! 😎 A nice tour but where are the people?
BTW those Harleys 350 and 500 are Chinese and not sold in India. They are basically Benelli bikes with a Harley dress. The Indian Harley is x440 which is a single cylinder and made by Hero Motocorp.
So it _was_ the GB350! I'm sure that would be a good seller in the UK now. The market is certainly there with the new Triumph 400s and the multitude of Royal Enfields.
Earlier this year Honda put in paperwork to register the ‘GB350 S’ trademark in the UK, as well as in Europe, suggesting that at least one of the GB350 models they sell in India is heading here.
You said try and guess what bike i ride in Japan,i believe they are importing a 350 into UK with chrome spoke wheels and muddies,i really hope so.I ride a 1972 cb 175 in candy orange.
Really enjoyed that vid. 👍 Outside the cafe..... a place in Morley often has Estrellas or the Suzuki Bigboy 250's, l'm tempted. The Honda has great proportions, looks like a much bigger bike, if they brought them to the UK l'd buy one tomorrow. Their current UK range has no bike over 125cc with any charm.
That X350 Harley was what I took my MSF on this summer.. I hated that bike. I own a Honda VTX 1300 and a RE Classic 350. The 350 is an awesome little bike, if you stay under 60mph.
The Harley 500 and 350 are both made by the same company that makes the Benelli Leocini 500.., basically the same bike. I owned the Benelli leoncino 500 scrambler for 12 months, nice fiesty but souless as a bike
The Harley you saw 350 n500 x are both twins . India has 440 single cylinder better in proportion than the ones I saw in your videos. Do review that if you get a chance.

This bike sells as the Honda CB350 Highness here in India. It's actually quite popular. It's the perfect royal Enfield that Honda built. I personally feel it's gearing is a bit on the taller side. A great machine overall though
Yes.Because of the taller gear ratios , I've gone for Hunter 350.
Nice trip on a nice bike.
Welcome to Korea 😎
If you want to ride around in Seoul, let me know. Cheers 🍻
Exploring rural japan on a motorcylce is an absolute bucket list dream for me. How expensive is to rent and can you rent for longer periods?
Excellent vid. Get a bike, trust the GPS, and set off in Japan. It doesn't get better than that... Thank you for sharing your experience...
Glad you enjoyed it😊
Darcy, wouldn't you love to be standing there when that gong gets called into action.)
So it _was_ the GB350! I'm sure that would be a good seller in the UK now. The market is certainly there with the new Triumph 400s and the multitude of Royal Enfields.
@@luddite6239 yes it is a shame it is not sold in the UK 👍🏼
Earlier this year Honda put in paperwork to register the ‘GB350 S’ trademark in the UK, as well as in Europe, suggesting that at least one of the GB350 models they sell in India is heading here.
I’ve seen these and other small capacity bikes around Japan myself and wished they would make them available in the UK.
I think Honda is missing a trick not selling the GB350 over here, I'd even accept the CB300R or CB500 engine stuffed into the GB350 frame tbh.
Your good at this. I can see a series coming, Darcy`s World. We need a new Alan Wicker...
LOL, "ben-ginz", when it clearly says "Beginz", aka "begins". You crack me up bro! 😆
I think I’m slightly dyslexic 😂
You said try and guess what bike i ride in Japan,i believe they are importing a 350 into UK with chrome spoke wheels and muddies,i really hope so.I ride a 1972 cb 175 in candy orange.
Hasn't there been a Honda recall for a lot of these 350 models just recently, I believe it covers over 4 years of the bike in Asia and the Far East 😮
I fancy a gb350, coming to the uk in January
Fantastic motorcycle, i wonder if it will ever make it to the western market…
Really enjoyed that vid. 👍 Outside the cafe..... a place in Morley often has Estrellas or the Suzuki Bigboy 250's, l'm tempted. The Honda has great proportions, looks like a much bigger bike, if they brought them to the UK l'd buy one tomorrow. Their current UK range has no bike over 125cc with any charm.
I trudged up some mountains in Kyoto looking at various temples but you've seen one you've seen them all!
Yes they’re all very similar
That X350 Harley was what I took my MSF on this summer.. I hated that bike. I own a Honda VTX 1300 and a RE Classic 350. The 350 is an awesome little bike, if you stay under 60mph.
The Harley 500 and 350 are both made by the same company that makes the Benelli Leocini 500.., basically the same bike. I owned the Benelli leoncino 500 scrambler for 12 months, nice fiesty but souless as a bike
We are all waiting for the HONDA 350 review ;)

We will have the UK review in Spring 👍🏼
The Harley you saw 350 n500 x are both twins . India has 440 single cylinder better in proportion than the ones I saw in your videos. Do review that if you get a chance.
I was right when I guessed Honda GB350, they were just being announced when I was there in December
In India it's called CB 350 and Hness 350
Harley, been selling them here in Australia as well now for 12 months.
Nice one, i have been telling Freddie Dobbs also to try this Honda cb350 RS but he hasn't yet ... Please do a review of this bike.... I own one in blue colour... 😊
The review will be coming soon 👍🏼
How I wish this bike is available here in North America 😢
Wow. I'm never inviting you to Arizona if you're afraid of 33 degrees.
We brits aren’t used to the heat
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Actually, I don't care for it that much either. I live at the 5600 ft. mountain area (1700 meters) BUT it's 10+ degrees hotter down in Phoenix area where 2 of my sisters live. Now THAT'S HOT! Lots of air conditioning!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan I have to apologize to you Darcy. I went down to Peoria, Arizona (next to Phoenix) to test ride some new Indian Scouts (and others) and the temperatures were over 108 degrees F ( 42+ degrees C). I about melted! A good thing it was this week because last week the temps were hovering around 116 degrees F (46-47 degrees C). I don't know how those people can live in that heat! Well, it is dry and not humid, so that helps, but still....!
I got the CB350 hness last week
Awesome, enjoy 😉
A lot of Honda models are nowhere to be seen when i venture in to a uk Honda dealership. Always seems to be a shortage or some kind of manufacturing issue. So i can't see them falling over themselves to flood our market with CB350s anytime soon. But if they do, can we have the CT125 at the same time please 😅
Woohoo I guessed the correct bike, I’d buy one of these if they were sold in the UK.
Yes it is a shame they are not sold
in the UK 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan I replied to your comment above but will say again that Honda has put in paperwork to register the ‘GB350 S’ trademark in the UK, as well as in Europe, suggesting that at least one of the GB350 models they sell in India is heading here.
Like the south of Portugal, cash is king 😅
Japan looks a fantastic country. Apparently it’s one of the most densely populated in the world. However I don’t get that impression watching your video. You might see a few SR 400s out there. I believe the Japanese can ride a 400 on a learner licence.
The Harley X500 thing is a Benelli Leoncino in different clothes. Definitely a miss on the styling. Shame as the Leoncino it is based on are great underrated bikes!
The HD X350 is not too bad, the 500 fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down😂
In India, Harley Davidson has x440, not the x500 or 350. I wish they did because they look way better.
