TurboMed Orthotics XTERN AFO -Thermoforming Dorsiflextion (2019-04-30)

This video shows how to modify Dorsiflexion by Thermoforming on the XTERN Foot Drop Brace.
You can increase or decrease the amount of lift (dorsiflexion) by bending the main strut forward or rearward.
Dorsiflexion increase can be performed to re-juvenate old fatigued braces if required.
We don’t recommend adding more dorsiflexion on brand new orthotics. If you need more dorsiflexion on a brand new orthotic, we recommend installing the Extension Stopper Kit.

Dorsiflexion decrease can be performed, if required, after at least a full week of use to allow brace component to be fully stretched and patient to get used to brace mechanical efficiency.
This tutorial is mostly dedicated to Orthotist (CPO) and Health practitioner.
End user patients with foot drop are usually gets a fully assemble brace and don’t need to make these kind of modification.

My name is jorge Alvarez turbo med has been a great help to me for the last four years.I had a mild stroke in 2008, but i started getting foot drop on my right foot.Thanks to turbo med i can do many activities that with foot drop you would not be able to do.Thanks god bless
