David Marino no way. Vocalist of Crazy Lixx and the other guy from HEAT are not in the same league as Erik Gronwall. And Crazy Lixx are doing nothing different to what bands were doing in 1989. Good band yes...but 30 years too late.
Jimmy VanZeno ???...first of all all these bands sound the same so to speak,some being better than others ofcourse but dont go on here saying heat is any different or that they dont sound like the late 80s which all these bands try to go for...its nothing new... the first 2 heat albums like first 3 crashdiet were awesome then it all went to shit...i do have to say these first 3 songs from this new album sound amazing...great production great songs but the previous stuff was pretty crappy very inconsistent which bands like crazy lixx or snakebite are not...theres actually a new wave of nwobhm bands coming out which are awesome as well...if you like the early to mid 80s sound of bands like priest and maiden u should chexk out...screamer,haunt,fortress,knightmare
I'm a young guitarist and I love the 80s bands. So happy my fav metal genre has a place in the current day and age due to bands like HEAT. So damn good wth.

@Joss Castrejon No tiene nada que ver el boom comercial de una banda con su calidad musical, y es de necios no querer aceptar que lo que estos muchachos se sacaron de debajo de la manga es de lo mejor que se publicó en cuanto a Hard Rock se refiere. Aunque, siguiendo tu lógica; sí, los H.E.A.T son bastantes conocidos en Europa y parte de Asia, prácticamente ya están consolidados en esa parte del mundo, sólo les falta conquitar América. Saludos.

That’s it. This album is a day one buy for me. Four singles and each one was a masterpiece. These guys deserve more recognition than they get. I’m going to buy their merch and wear it in public as much as I can. Especially at concerts. I wish they played in the US more. But most of their fan base is across the ocean. I’m hoping I can at least give them a few more US fans by wearing their merch. I badly want to see these guys live. I miss the power and energy that rock used to have and when they focused on catchy choruses, hooks, and melodies. Very few mainstream rock bands do that anymore. But H.E.A.T does it to the greatest effect I’ve seen in a very long time.
I have seen them live 4 times, and all the band is amazing, but i have never seen anything like the singer, Erik Grönwall. He is a f*cking living bomb on the stage. Every time i see a concert of H.E.A.T, i do it with a crazy smile on my face of pure happiness :) i hope you can feel it too some day!
Yes, they do. but it isn't just this album. Every H.E.A.T album to date has been rock solid.
Had this stuff come out in the 80's, these guys would have been global superstars already after album 3 or 4. Like Europe.
Now their only legacy will be that of a cult act amongst true melodic hard rock & AOR fans.
Anyway, I hope you have also checked out Michael Palace´s albums on Frontiers. Another Swede with 2 albums of stellar melodic rock that I put on the same level as H.E.A.T.
If they ever decide to part with Erik Grönwall, Michael Palace would be my ideal replacement as a singer/frontman (even though he has now cut his hair and look like a rapper). What an AOR dream team that would be.
As a Swede it makes me real proud to come from the country with the best melodic rock acts, no competition.
