But will this change of direction be enough to make the difference?

Love how you have enough edge with drums and guitar work to not be too "cheesy" or too "lite" of AOR if that makes sense. You're kind of right there with that Europe or Hysteria era Leppard or New Jersey era Bon Jovi with sort of that commercial, melodic, slightly harder rock sound that emerged in the late 80's. Looking forward to hearing the whole album!

This song is pure genious! It takes me back, both visually and musically, to the late 80's. In 1989, I was 16 years old. So many memories...playing guitar in a hardrock band we had at the time (with my beautiful Kramer guitar)...going to concerts (highlights in 1989 were Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, David Lee Roth and Anthrax)...the summer fling I had with a gorgeous girl...driving around on my moped (a Suzuki TS 50X for those wondering...). This song would have rocked then, and it certainly does now! (I also had the Rockman (by Tom Scholz, from the band Boston) as my practise amp). I now have a new favorite swedish band (and that list is long enough already...)! Can't wait to see you live in Falun at Sabaton Open Air next year!

I was 17 in 1989 and i was a diehard metalhead. I've recently discovered, or rediscovered, synthwave/shredwave and have become enamored of the guitar tones of the genre.

Going to Sweden rock festival there is always the one new discovery that will be an uncovered treasure and it was indeed Nestor . Coming from Australia this was one of the highlights of the festival . Nestor were incredible and very much kept the 80s spirit alive with incredible songs and presentation. The album is simply beautiful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I know this song is catchy as Hell - but for those of us that were alive in 89 (I was 17) man those lyrics hit home. I know I know, don't look back, keep looking forward, Jodes quit living in the past, etc. But that was such a phenomenal year for me - filled with so much joy, triumph and heartbreak - sometimes as the song says "It feels like an illusion, I wish I could turn back" 100% bang on.

I prefer the album version, but this song is incredible. The tone is Def Leppard Hysteria level good, and that's the best guitar solo I've heard in a decade. The phrasing is simply sublime. And those vocals, holy shit. Soaring doesn't even begin to describe them. Insanely catchy.
