The LATER seasons of Saved by the Bell: The New Class are pretty good (specifically season 4, 5, and 6). The show lasted seven seasons for a reason and it's seasons 4, 5, and 6 that saved it. The worst season is season 1 (there is a reason they fired almost everyone after that disastrous first season). Seasons 2 and 3 have problems, but season 4 is when the show finally starts to find it's good path and season 5 is the best season and season 6 is a really good follow-up. After that, the final season (season 7) things get terrible and the show is over after seven seasons (yeah, New Class lasted longer than the original show). Granted, Screech is both a positive and a negative in those later seasons (he morphs into a Steve Urkel wannabe with terrible over acting, super high pitched voice that gets annoying. At the same time, he also anchors the show is a weird but fun way which can be entertaining IF you can accept that he is pretty much now a live action loony toons character. It's a mixed bag) but overall seasons 4, 5, and 6 are just fun (and the only seasons worth giving a chance to. But if you only have time for one season, then it's season 5 where the best overall season happens).
