      Right on dude! It's going to be different for everyone but I was making an increase of about 1 pullup a month for two years doing calisthenics pullups three days a week. Just make sure you change up your programming once every few months and mix in weighted pullups and or chin ups. I recently stopped doing calethstenics pullups and started doing only weighted. Remember you have three types of inervated skeletal muscle, fast twitch, slow twitch and intermediate. It's good to try to train all three. High volume is getting the slow and intermediate while weighted gets fast twitch and some intermediate.

    tazio i have a question, how can be possible that you have a body with so little hypertrophy while you are so strong, i was thiking that strenght and muscle mass were exctremely correlated.

    • @heibiondo83
      @heibiondo83  7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Gabriele Murgia Well, I have never trained and eaten in order to gain mass...hypertrophy and strength aren't necessarily correlated. And probably my genetics helps too.

      Tazio Il Biondo Thank you for your reply ! You also said that for your diet you ate more carbohydrates and less proteins. I was wondering why ? Aren't protein that helps you to build muscle and recover so to become stronger ?

    • @heibiondo83

      I do lateral pull ups with my legs stretched out and my feet on the ground. do these help? I used an assisted pull up machine, lat pulldowns, seated rows, etc. None of those helped at all. I did chin-ups and went from 4 to about 10 in 2 weeks easily but pull ups are much harder and I want to get good at them. send me advice when you get a chance.

    • @heibiondo83

      You should just work with the assisted pull up machine because your muscles needs to work in that way. You can train using the pulley too; you know what I mean?

    Dam recent I am able to do my first Dead hang pull up I can only get 2 before i start feeling like my arms about to break you weight about 160 and below right? I freaking weigh 220 pounds I can't probably only wish to do as much as you. I know 2 pull ups ain't the best but still good enough to get the job I want or at least get a shot at it.

      Stretching e riscaldamento sono le uniche cose che ti possono tutelare...si, quel che si vede nel video va bene anche un riscaldamento specifico, fatto con qualche serie blande dell'esercizio che andrai a fare, ti farà ottenere gli stessi risultati...l'adattamento fisiologico del corpo farà il resto mano a mano che ti allenerai in quel modo. Così facendo ne ha fatte 50, penso riposandosi per la prima volta a 40! Qui sopra io ne ho fatte 48 di fila.....

    This is a perfect example of size=strength is incorrect..Most often than not strength to muscle ratio is wrong! That's why built 250 lbs men can't even do 10 pull ups..They have very low strength for their size..Take for a example a squat freak and a footballer...
    The chances are the footballer will lift more in squat even tho he never squats and is smaller and his legs are smaller..
    Or take into account some very skinny guys that can lift cars..

    • @jakemccoy

  • @Dtonationify

    Why are you doing wide grips? These just make it harder for you. Title should be 48 wide grip pull ups, if you used a closer grip, you could have done more.

    • @heibiondo83
      @heibiondo83  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Guinness form means also wide grip...because when you want to do many pull ups in a short time (fastets records) your chin must be as near as possible at the bar. Probably with a closer grip I can do some reps more...but it will take longer because distance chin-bar
