These were his doctrines that he derived from the bible. It's a way of understanding the bible. It's not a religion, it's the essence of Christianity based off scriptures. I love the phrase SOMETHINGS ARENT MEANT FOR HEALING BUT FOR HOMECOMING. Thank you for this. I lost my dad to cancer in 1980 before any of my children were born. That has been hard but I always tell myself only God knows what my dad may have gone through if he had lived longer. And that God was saving him from what was to come. And to not be selfish wanting him back but to be thankful he is not suffering anymore. This is my first Podcast of yours but I have caught 2 or 3 of Amber's Arise since finding your channel. I believe in some points of Calvinism but I DO NOT believe that God “Elects” those whom he calls to be saved! He gives us free will and it’s up to the individual as to whether or not he wants to choose to follow God and worship and serve Him! I believe with all my heart that God gave me the gift of salvation! Therefore I choose to worship and serve Him with all my being!! Granger and Amber I hope my response was not taken as criticism of your beliefs….I admire both of you so much! You both are an inspiration to all of us who view your You Tube channel! I know you both Love the Lord and strive to worship and serve Him daily! You have a beautiful family and I’m so excited to meet your precious baby boy!!

When my Dad passed… all we got from his father was a box full of Arrowheads and sharks teeth. I have a few that I found in Puerto Rico and some from the Peace River when we went panning. So much fun

I’m so proud of you guys how you have allowed God to use this platform. He does not allow the kind of pain you have gone through to be wasted. 2 Peter 3:9 I believe this verse is saying that God wants us all to come unto repentance but it's our choice to repent or not to repent
His grace has always been with me in good times and bad... I can’t explain it but it is truly there.
My daughter sent.me your video to review and wanted my opinion. I can't wait until I get to talk to her!!!!. I struggled with Calvinism when I first heard of it 10 years ago. But after searching the scriptures, I have come to agree. My current heros are RC Sprouls, John McArthur, John Walsh, Todd Friel and Voddie Bauchum... You did an excellent job of presenting it off the cuff and you're right, there will be haters, but the intelligent will research for themselves and hopefully will grow in their walk!!!

If anyone wants to I could use some prayer, I had to put my dog of 6 years to sleep this last Saturday and it was probably the worst thing I have had to do in this life. I know as a Christian that death is an unfortunate product of this world and I will see him again. Thank you to anyone that does read this I hope everyone has a blessed week.

I'm praying for God to give you comfort, Justin. We've had to do that with a 15-year-old dog, and my husband and I said it was the hardest thing we had ever had to do. The one I have now has been like my child since my husband died 11 years ago, and he's getting to "that" age. I'm already praying for God to strengthen me when that time comes.

Big fan of you and your wife and family I'm 57 years old and my grandmother is 101 and I take care of her along with my dad who is 80 and I find such strength in your podcast when you have Amber on that I picked up my Bible for the first time today cuz I felt this podcast touched my heart especially when I felt like the world was on my shoulders and I could just let it go and put it in his hands I cried and I haven't cried like this in years and I just felt like a weight has been lifted so thank you for all you do and all the people you touch on your podcast

I love this podcast more and more with every new episode. I love that you never shy away from any topic! Your honesty is refreshing to see. I know Politics and Faith are tricky subjects to talk about, especially when your in public eye. You sir answered everything perfectly. It was nice seeing Amber back so soon. I’m not gonna hate you now over your belief but man I want biblical proof to what you believe! I believe Jesus came once to save EVERY one of us! He chose EVERY one of us to be saved! But do we accept it? Those who don’t accept Gods grace and forgiveness they will not be saved! It’s everyone’s own decision!
What more proof do you need.than the scriptures that were referenced????!?

How you were saying you feel when you find a arrow head is how I feel when I find a whitetail antler shed. I'm from Pennsylvania and I don't think we really got many if any arrowhead around here but in the spring me and my family spend hours in the woods looking for shed antlers! This spring was extra special cause my brother-in-law passed away in a car accident in early February. He was only 18 years old. So this spring we went antler shed hunting down close to where he always hunts and we had his girlfriend with us to show her where he hunted and right underneath his stand was a massive shed!!

I saw a new side of what I feel in my heart because you and Amber and the kids teach me with every episode of the Smiths. This is my first podcast as I do not usually care for them. But I am still here listening at the break. Do not be ashamed or worried in your beliefs as they are yours. If people don't like it it is on them to figure out why. You are Blessed and always will be with your family and GOD.

John 3:16. "For this is how God loved the world:He gave his one and only Son,so that EVERYONE who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." Everyone not just a select few.
Yessir, john 3:16 is the main argument against it. And of course I agree with john 3:16, but it says everyone WHO BELIEVES. Not just everyone. So then we have to ask- why does one believe. What was the cause of that believe? Grace. And then we have to harmonize with the entire chapter of John 17. And ALL of Paul’s letters. And the rest of election throughout the old test and then the rest of the new test. Anyway. You’re not wrong Adam, but there is a lot to consider. Why does it matter? That’s what I’m trying to explain in the podcast.

@@hannelouise371 Using your method of interpretation though, that would not line up with Chapter 4: “For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, *who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.”* 1 Timothy 4:10 ESV So is God the saviour of ALL people as in every single person?
The verse that you used is related to praying for those who are in government, the subject is not about the atonement.
“You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?”” Romans 9:19-20
@@irishali896 my question is. Do you believe? He is come to save those people who Believe! Those who reject him they won’t be saved because he only saves those who believe. It’s a free choice if you want to be saved and have eternal life or not. But you need that faith in Jesus Christ

We definitely do not have the same beliefs on Calvinism or God choosing people but that doesn’t mean that hate needs to be spread. I don’t believe 100% of the theology that some people in my church believe but that doesn’t mean we can’t worship side by side. We will be doing that in Heaven. I think it’s a lot more commendable to say “this is what I believe and I’m sticking to it” instead of saying “Ehh, this might be what I believe. Idk. I’ll go with the crowd” (I wouldnt say that for everything but for this it’s okay). So yeah, hopefully this encourages you guys!!

I had been a caregiver for my mother and my husband through terminal cancer. The very point with each that I was praying and saying Lord I have reached a point of not coping for another day, the doctor says I have to put them in nursing home for my own health and well being, They passed within 4 hours of me being told that, and I was able to let them go knowing they would be with the Lord. For me the key is letting each go and not accumulating the losses.

I don’t believe you can lose your salvation, I do believe however you can not have received it when you thought! If someone stops listening to your podcast over your beliefs, do you really want them here? Yes, I know you do, because you want to reach people, but so many learn from you. #lifetimefan
So if someone says I don’t believe in God anymore you believe that he will be saved in that state? He will be saved if he is in the hands of Satan?

@@amadeoplett perhaps that person that had claimed to believe in fact walked the walked and spoke Christianese but never truely gave themselves to Jesus Christ. They never had their salvation to begin with. It reminds me of the parable Jesus taught on about seeds that fall on different types of ground. Not all seeds take root and some whither and die off withput a solid foundation. Its the same with someone who claims to be a Christian.

How could I ever hate you or leave your podcast. There is too much goodness and love in your heart. God does not care how you love him, just that you LOVE him and worship him. As you said there are all forms of religion so the point is to just BELIEVE. Speak to God in YOUR words and you will find peace. Seek and you will find. You are a perfect example of this so don’t worry about followers, just be YOU. God is watching and so am I.

Granger you articulated such a complicated and even controversial subject very well, with humility, a biblical foundation, and grace. Good job!
I wish those who would get riled up over the subject would pray, study, pray, and accept, some things we will never fully understand and that's okay.
God is God, the creator of everything, he makes the rules, and first and foremost he loves us the most. I'll never even fully grasp that, so I try not to get too hung up on anything else. I try to return that love as best I can, and when I inevitability fail at that and the other things of life, I am so glad God's love and grace are the same they've always been and will always be, forever.

The little you explained about Calvinism really addresses a lot of the constant issues I face in my Christianity. It really seems to make a lot of sense. (I'm a Christian, but also a recovering atheist) Where's a good source to learn more about it?

YeeYee Mr. Granger and Ms Amber well said. We are saved by God's grace and by the shed blood of his son Jesus. We CAN NOT save ourselves through works. Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father except through me.".
Don't worry about what others say and don't worry if others chose to not tune in to your channels. Keep strong in Jesus and keep telling the TRUTH of God's word. God bless you and yours.

To the 19 year old that asked about careers. I took a trades program appliance technician. It summarises the basics from plumbing electrical engineering mechanical. It's kind of a broad overview. If you have somthing like that in your area that hits your interest take a course like that.

Stop worrying, if they don't like it. Ok. You can't change everyone. But by your consistency in your testimony you are showing what they need. It is up to them to act.
I think that you and your wife are doing a great job of being consistent.
Granger, my respect for you and Amber continues to grow as I listen to all you share! It’s evident that you aren’t a surface Christian who is simply going through the motions, but one who desires to learn truth! One thing that I’ve found helpful, in my Christian walk, is learning about alternative Christian views. Views that are a little different then the one I’m leaning towards. That way I’m able to better articulate what I believe and why!
A place I’ve found different Christian ideologies in one spot is a TH-cam and Podcast entitled “The One Minute Apologist” Bobby Conway is a man who will tell you he doesn’t have it all together yet his biblical knowledge is extensive. He might be “A city boy” being from SoCal and all…bless his heart…LOL…but still worth a listen!
