Finally got that angle so it doesn't look like Anderton's normal view. Not that it was bad, but this makes it a little cozier. And Hang a sign in the back that says "Pete's Corner". We won't tell Lee...
I've made it habit to figure out a little bit of what he's playing every time I watch one of his vids. By slowly stealing his secrets, I hope to one day go through metamorphosis and completely become him
Xotic doesn’t make a bad pedal and they are all unique to one another unlike other pedal manufacturers that either sell too many variants or just copies of vintage pedals. Xotic circuits are different enough from TS’s and the like. The BB preamp is like a TS with an extra gain stage for a Baxandall EQ section; its brilliant. The Soul Driven takes inspiration from the Zendrive and Blues Driver but does it in a unique way that it is its own sound. I love Xotic almost as much as Maxon.
I have been using the “White RC booster” for 15 years it’s my go to! Then driving it into the Soul Driven for last 3! Incredible clean boost to creamy blues!
I’m not an Xotic devotee, but I have now accumulated 4 Xotic pedals over the years and have no desire to sell any. They just seem to nail what makes an inspiring pedal for me.
Bro....your tone....by far the best player on the TPS/Andertons crew...Such a gracious attitude too man...makes the tones even sweeter. Love hearing you play
Pete I love watching you play around!!!! Like a kid at Christmas just enjoying the glorious tone palette!!!! Keep on enjoying having fun! You make me smile!
I like when there’s a pedal you’re thinking of getting then you find Pete demos it the very day you’re looking for videos of it! Win! Looking forward to seeing the other xotic pedals. Hopefully the super clean and super sweet.
The RC fatens up the tone extremely well. I was very impressed. Reminds me a bit of keeley bd2, but a bit more tweakable. As always, a great video, Pete. Stellar playing. Thanks for sharing, mate. Cheers
I like xotic pedals too. I just wish they wouldnt put those dip switches inside so you have to take the thing apart to get at them. Theres plenty space so why not put them on the top or even the sides.
Pete I just love your demos!!! Hands down your presentations just soooooo informative! Your pro playing really shines in how any gear works! Thx soooo much!😄❤️
Got the RC Booster already. Working on the Soul Driven! I also have Xotic SP Compressor and SL Drive modded by Alchemy Audio. They moved the 4 dip switches inside to mini-toggles on the outside. I really dig Xotic Effects!
I run the version one "all white" RC Booster into the AC Booster (similar to the Soul Driven) and it's probably my favourite gain-stack boost+drive combo. Xotic make fantastic equipment.
Oooof...that Soul Driven tone is like a nice bourbon. Smokey, smooth, that nice bite in the back of your throat, and makes you feel warm and fuzzy! My blues driver, which was my first pedal I ever bought in 2000 finally died (sad face), so this is the perfect replacement!
My Danish isn't as good as it used to be, but I do remember enough to say "det var simpelthen kanon!" Always enjoy your playing, and great to see Anderton's giving you your own little corner
I now have in my pedalboard and SP Compressor, a Soul Driven and the RC Booster 2. They are fantastic pedals. I put the Soul Driven against my OCD v4 in different settings. Both are great, but the Soul Driven was a little more transparent than the OCD. The advantage of the Soul Driven is that you can adjust the mid boost to your liking. The OCD is a "amp in a box" (it is or isn't?) and HP setting (the Brit amp setting) is fixed, it is not adjustable. I want to get, if possible the AC Booster Comp on Reverb, but that's another story. Xotic pedals are great (no, they are not paying me for this, but if they are reading this, wel...), they are reliable, transparent and work in a 9, 15 or 18 volts. I used the Soul Driven and the booster in with AC power at 18 with the voltage doubler.
Thanks for the review. In my opiinon this is a very very treble focussed tone. The soul driven's strength on the other hand lies in a more mid-oriented sound with the tone knob on the git on about 50% -60%on stock Teles and Strats (treble on Fender-type amps at about 40%).
Absolutely awesome sound, and Pete’s face when he gets the sound he adores is priceless. I want these pedals for sure. I’m not sure I can afford to watch these videos anymore. First Thorpy pedals and then this?
The knotch in the bass and treble pot usually means it is an active EQ. And it can boost and cut frequencies. Instead of one or the other. Just filtering frequencies.
I use the soul driven BEFORE the Xotic SL Drive. The SL Drive is adjusted on crunch level, the soul driven as a slight blues/fusion drive. These two are followed by a mxr 6 band eq. This in connection with a strat and a blonde type amp in clean or very slight overdriven mode gives you a guitar volume-controlled variety of many many tones from blues heaven over punk to Govanish areas. Put a decent noisegate like the isp in FRONT of the chain (NOT between eq and drives or after the eq, between guitar and the soul driven/first in row) and you can enjoy this quite quietly. My humble suggestion. P.S.: Put a seymour duncan pickup booster right after the guitar into the SL drive ... mamma mia!
Wow by far the best review of these pedals Ive seen yet. Just bought the RC Booster V@....now I want the Soul Driven too after watching this. Even better than the Tumnus?
I was just wondering how the Soul Driven would sound with an EP Booster, so thank you for your comment! Do you place the EP in front of the SD or after? I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III set super clean for funky rhythm guitar: do you think they could work with that amp and that setting? It is really hard to get a nice overdriven tone on the HRD even at mid volumes..
Sounds great Pete! I use an RC booster V2 and BB preamp from Xotic as my two main gain pedals with my tele and the sound is enormous, but my playing isn’t even close to yours.
More videos from the Danish...? Count me in!!! (I would subscribe twice, if I could) Lovely tones, lovely playing and more toys for me to put on my shopping list. Get back in your corner, Pete! ;-)
Hey Pete! This isn’t related to the video but I would like to say thank you for all of the inspiring videos and lessons you have put upon your channel, it is really inspiring and makes me want to practice more and more. I am 16 and have been playing guitar for 5 years now, I was wondering if you have any advice for feeling like you are not improving and hitting a wall with guitar playing, and how to overcome it. Thank you so much for everything! -Caleb
Hi Caleb, I'm not Pete, but I would say seek out something that is outside your comfort zone. If you play metal, learn a jazz tune, if you play classical, try improvising over a blues, et cetera. Hope that helps!
The RC booster, specifically this version, in my opinion, is the finest pedal ever made. It sounds perfect with every guitar and every amp I've ever tried and owned. Except my brand new Mesa Boogie Mach 25. However I'll never ever part with it.
If only I could subscribe 10 times for you channel, man! You play my style of music and I learn a lot from you! Hope to meet you one day. :))) also I am saving up for a Dane to spice up my playing a bit (it will be my first OD pedal - GO FIGURE...you have me hooked)!
You dont hear much about the Soul Driven. Its not in the discussion of killer overdrive pedals that everyone has and there arent a ton of quality demos out there on it like every other OD pedal. I bought one when it came out and it hasnt left my board.
@Infinite Revery it's kinda similar but gives you more control over the mid range and the treble control seems to be a little more interactive with the gain.
That RC booster has got to be one of the best pedals ever made.
Finally got that angle so it doesn't look like Anderton's normal view. Not that it was bad, but this makes it a little cozier. And Hang a sign in the back that says "Pete's Corner". We won't tell Lee...
Half of the time I'm not even interested in the products you demo but I'll watch an entire video just for your playing. Keep it up man.
What he said ^
I've made it habit to figure out a little bit of what he's playing every time I watch one of his vids. By slowly stealing his secrets, I hope to one day go through metamorphosis and completely become him

Together is the winning combination!
I have been using the “White RC booster” for 15 years it’s my go to! Then driving it into the Soul Driven for last 3! Incredible clean boost to creamy blues!
i´v used the RC booster for years and it´s always on. Could be one of the best pedals ever.
Steffe Lindman Media same here. Had it for 13ish years. Change all others from time to time. Not the RC, its just perfect:-)
Same. It's one of two or three that have been on my board for almost 10 years.

I love that in 2019 we still have pedals using comic sans.
The RC fatens up the tone extremely well. I was very impressed. Reminds me a bit of keeley bd2, but a bit more tweakable.
As always, a great video, Pete. Stellar playing.
Thanks for sharing, mate.
Cheers
Xotic pedals are fantastic. Happy Pete is gonna be making more vids. More Danish Pete I say!!!!!
I like xotic pedals too. I just wish they wouldnt put those dip switches inside so you have to take the thing apart to get at them. Theres plenty space so why not put them on the top or even the sides.
@@markgowans I just got my Soul Driven... Haven't got into the bass boost dips yet... Which boost did you prefer?
I always come here just to see you improvising, so good. Keep it up.
It was bad ~ why encourage him?
Always a pleasure to hear you play. More Danish Pete please 👍
The Soul Driven is one of the longest standing pedals on my board. A keeper next to the Snouse Black Box. Great pedal.
I run the version one "all white" RC Booster into the AC Booster (similar to the Soul Driven) and it's probably my favourite gain-stack boost+drive combo. Xotic make fantastic equipment.
Pete is my spirit animal
Definitely an animal!!!
Sold! Getting a Soul Driven.
I have the mk1 RC and love it. Brilliant clean boost.
My Danish isn't as good as it used to be, but I do remember enough to say "det var simpelthen kanon!" Always enjoy your playing, and great to see Anderton's giving you your own little corner
Soul driven sounds mega, well Pete's playing through it sounds mega anyway.... 😉
I own both and I really like the tone. I also have an always on pedals. A super clean on the input and output!
I now have in my pedalboard and SP Compressor, a Soul Driven and the RC Booster 2. They are fantastic pedals. I put the Soul Driven against my OCD v4 in different settings. Exactly as you say. I fully agree.

This is my rig! Rc v2 + soul driven
Pete!! Dude the BeatBuddy has your name written all over it. I dig that thing like no other fun to jam with!!!
Absolutely awesome sound, and Pete’s face when he gets the sound he adores is priceless. I want these pedals for sure. I’m not sure I can afford to watch these videos anymore. First Thorpy pedals and then this?
Great demo and playing as always. Would love to hear you demo their AC Booster and BB preamp, too.
really cool demo . I m defenetly gonna go for the RC . thx
I have the Allen Hinds version of the Soul Driven. I’m unsure if it’s exactly the same as the one shown here but it is a great pedal.
Mister Tee No difference between them. Both AH Soul Driven and this one are exactly the same inside.
The man from Danistan! Sounding great as always!
Great video, and loving all the purpleness!!

Scott Henderson always on pedal 👌💪
Monster player...highly recommend his live YT clips.
Pete's Corner :) them is some lovely pedals
your playing is really inspiring
Xotic is wonderful
When are you guys going to review a Xotic guitar?
Awesome Demos Pete 👍👍🎶🎶🎸Keepem Coming.
Lordy, lordy, lordy, that's some nice tone! Great work you Danish maestro you!
That 594 sc sounds beautiful

The RC booster is so good. Sounds great
OooooWeeeee......Pete got his own corner to sling from....good job fella!!!
Nice!! Lovely Tone's.. Great playing too..🙌😎
Absolute killer demo. Thx Pete.
Have the Soul Driven and love it - hitting it with my EP Booster takes it to the next level.

That Soul Driven is such a badass overdrive. Fuck a Dumble pedal or a Klon. That is my fav. And the Looking Glass by DOD. 2 best Overdrives around.
You’re the first person I’ve seen bring up the Looking Glass (which I use).
Apart from shiny enclosures, what similarities do you see/hear?
Pete sets his amps up the way I would. I appreciate that.
Sounds great Pete! I use an RC booster V2 and BB preamp from Xotic as my two main gain pedals with my tele and the sound is enormous, but my playing isn’t even close to yours.
Liam Keaney
Which pedal first?
Damn, watched the other video and wanted the Super Sweet and SL Drive - and now I want these too...
RC Booster V2 always on for me...
what he played and the epic guitar tone just hold on me here
I think Pete could plug that Tele into anything and the tone (and playing) would be delightful.
Good job😊
Goddam pusha man, I'm putting in an order!!
More videos from the Danish...? Count me in!!! (I would subscribe twice, if I could) Lovely tones, lovely playing and more toys for me to put on my shopping list. Get back in your corner, Pete! ;-)
“Sonic Adventures” 🤣 These pedals rock!! Great demo! 🙏
Look at his face at 12:54 ... Made my day!! 😂

Super Sweet drive next please I use an Xotic EP in the loop of my Tonemaster and it works great but wondering if the SSD would be better
The RC booster, specifically this version, in my opinion, is the finest pedal ever made. It sounds perfect with every guitar and every amp I've ever tried and owned. Except my brand new Mesa Boogie Mach 25. However I'll never ever part with it.
How to sell more of a pedal 101. Give it to danish pete with his purple tele and rift amp 😁
More videos, great!
I hav rc v2 ,like it quite a bit, but a person really needs both ,no way around it.
1:14 Geezus... that sustain. Wow
Pete's Corner !!!
Nice intro 😊
The RC doesn't have a bad sound in it!
The Dane is my always on pedal. 'Nuff said.
Hi Peter, you need to meet Allen Hinds…
That poor PRS just sits in the corner quietly waiting for someone to
love on her :-)
Cause it’ll never sound like that tele, even though it plays better
If only I could subscribe 10 times for you channel, man! You play my style of music and I learn a lot from you! Hope to meet you one day. :))) also I am saving up for a Dane to spice up my playing a bit (it will be my first OD pedal - GO FIGURE...you have me hooked)!
♥♥♥
ok..I was looking for a nice responsive clean Booster... now I'm Looking for Guitar lessons... !! WTF Pete !!!
PRS better have a purple sky Tele for Pete in the pipeline !
Oh gods no. Not again. The internet almost broke with the silver sky lol.
I hate when I can’t figure if the magic is coming from the pedal or Pete’s fingers. Actually, I kinda like it...
hi. cool demo. whts Delay u have down there?)
How does the RC Booster differ from a good EQ pedal that has a boost/cut slider?
came for Pete's playing, and a demo broke out
Pete where does the EP Booster fit into this group of pedals tone wise?
Oi, Anderton, give the man a pot plant for his corner, for heavens sake!
You talkin sativa?
Just a bit of greenery, oh, and maybe a table lamp with a red shade.......
Seven demos on the RCBv2 I've watched and not a single one where the player activates the left button by itself. Why is that?
Guys , help me, Boss Waza blues driver 2 or Xotic soul driven?
'Bout time :0)
I can’t take anything seriously if it uses the comic sans font... great tone tho...
What delay pedal is he using here?
Supro analog delay
'sonic adventures' 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Both pedals much better than The Lame.
Rc

¿Johnny Deep brother?
