that game against field was so satisfying. When the netdecker is so bad at playing their tier 1 deck that you can meme them to death with cats.

I've been playing BW with the Corpse Knights and the Celebrant. Your idea of Gruesome Menagerie has been ideal to recur lost companions. They all see each other on return it can be quite an amazing effect to pull 3 choice cards back.
I've been playing those colors as well, but not competitively. Have you been having good results?

@@diogosesimbra Well I just made it to the mythic rankings using it. Corpse Knights Celebrant Cauldron Familiar , oven Ayara etc. It can be really good or stall. If I get cat oven knight and celebrant (which happens a lot) it gets going.
I have seen many BW decks with knights and knights charge.
These aren't going to be top tier , they are fun though.
Love the new format for the colour challenge, getting a more in-depth look at the different directions you can take each colour is a great idea. I dunno if chromatic black counts as a black deck but it would be cool to see your take on it on the new standard
That Golos match was insane. That's why you should never assume your opponent is out of it until it's over, it just leads to you losing easy victories!

I am wondering why noone is playing atleast one copy of Syr Konrad. That card has awesome synergy with Cauldron familiar and Priest of forgotten gods.
I'm playing 3 of him. The synergy is nice but he's also one hell of a blocker.
also Konrad + Forever Young. also Konrad + Massacre Girl, especialy if you can give him indestructible before casting her
My favorite combo in this deck that I play is familiar > witch’s oven > and reaper. Love the extra card draw and throw in an ayara it’s gg.
add liliana, having all of them on the field and baking the cat in the oven once and the opponent will see the huge combo and basically the 2 free cards each turn and they will scoop asap

I like such decks a lot. I play a Rakdos version skewed to the black side. Without cat / oven and with footlight fiend, Dreadhorde butcher, mayhem devil and Judith. A lot of fun - but no top tier deck obviously. Thanks for showcasing the deck!

It was pro tour Gatecrash, and it used Cartel Aristocrat and Falkenrath Aristocrat.
I love mono black! Copying all of these decks to eventually make with some changes to recent cards (theros)

played this list today, it's super fun. The one-of Gruesome Menagerie is so spicy
I actually like having a couple spawn of Mayhem in mine as it is easy to get it out with priest. Rankle and spawn can turn a game quickly. Cavalier of Night is nice as is plague Crafter too for creature based removal.
I feel like that is the aggro build, I don't cross the streams
Such a cool deck. Cavalier of night might be good as well, although the mana cost is a bit high.
I fucking love aristocrat decks. Excellent job as always CGB. I'm not a fan of priest. I just feel like it takes too much to make it worth it.

I guess I missunderstood the Term Aristocrats, and confused it with the creature type - "Noble" so it has more of an aggro-type mana base/structure, instead of a control-type mana base/deck structure?

Cartel Aristocrat was the other one I believe . BW 2 drop let you sac a creature for no cost and give a creature pro-color of your choice.

CGB, any possibility you can do a deck with WB +1/1 lifegain. I know it's a bit off meta but Revenge of the Ravens has allowed me to pilot it to platinum so far. I'd love to see how you optimize it. Manifold Key with a pumped up twin blade paladin is GG.
