What i love about mark is that he always days it's an honor to be there. And there is nothing more humble than that. My parents always raised me that way too. Love it
I was thinking that he wasn’t going to like it because he said sugar cane syrup lol but I was pleased to see he did... and you know it’s real because the one eye closed 😂
I'm from Myanmar and love Shan foods. I have been there several times to Shan State, Myanmar and have never tried that donut. I am Burmese and we have the similar delicacy like this, called Mote Latt Kaunt. Literally translating, Mote means SNACK ,and Latt Kaunt means Bracelatt. Similarly, rice donuts are fried to deep yellow and later served with jaggery syrup. Jaggery is made from palm juice extract. I hope food styles are intertwined among the ethnicities. As Thailand shares long borders with Myanmar, love to see similar ethnic foods with a bit different version.
I smiled so BIG when I realized my NEW FAVORITE Auntie (In my mind I call her "Thumbs up Auntie) was apart of this video too!! She absolutely captures your heart as she prepared the meals. What a beautiful woman!! Thank you for sharing her with all of us!
My mum is Shan and I love Shan food. I am suprise they don't make Shan tofu but that required a lot of effort and pre-preparation. ❤️ I miss Shan state, mynamar and Thailand. ❤️
I love the community feeling, how everyone respects the other person and how they have such a great sense of humor. I love the Aunties and Uncles. Thank you for sharing it was wonderful.
Honestly, you could commentate paint drying and I would still watch just to hear your warming smile and friendly manner. It’s just icing on the cake that the content is equally engaging. Much love from Melbourne Australia.
My wife is from the shan state. A Shan Tai, I visited many times her home and one of the most Beautiful memories is the dishes we had in her homeland. Thank you Mark! This clip definitely means so much to me..especially in this pandemic...so much to saviour..
Watching from Myanmar 🇲🇲 yes, Shan State is the largest region in Myanmar & very beautiful with mountainous views. Shan dishes are very delicious, especially Shan Noodles is a favourite across the country. We would like to invite you to visit Myanmar again to try our delicious dishes not only burmese but also ethnic (Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Rakhine etc.), however, now we are in our darkest times, fighting for Democracy. Military Terrorists are killing our people every day & destroying human rights. Please pray for Myanmar & do visit again when Democracy is restored 🙏🏼
