The rhythm section was great, but Lifeson's face melting solos back in the day injected the final emotional charge that raised the music to another level.
Great cover!!! I know this is 3 years old, but I have seen many of your covers...all are TOP-NOTCH!! I'm sure that I'm echoing other comments, but you are blessed with talent and your love for Rush and Neil Peart is not lost. Please continue to show your talent...you are destined for greater things.
Number 1 question....how can any “ human “ write, and execute these songs? Number 2question... how can any “ human”, play these alien soundtracks, note for note? You are an amazing talent , and I’m glad that the Professor has influenced other super talented individuals. Keep crushing it Sterling!
Along with Book 2 this is one of the best pieces Rush did, imho. The drumming on this song is not easy, and you did a great job with all of the parts. Great job Sterling!
Dude, you have mad skills and I can't rephrase any of the praise better then the rest of the comments offer. What blows me away though is the speed you've developed. I mean, yes, it's necessary for the material, but the way your kit is set up, like the space between your hi-hat and snare, that's a huge chasm to traverse but you've adapted and stay in time. All of your toms have a lot of space between them, your cymbals too. It looks like a very comfortable kit to play. The tune on your kit is great and the marks on your head are like a sharp shooter hitting center mass! Very impressive, thanks for sharing and working so hard, you have a lot to be proud of! Stay healthy!
Are you Neil himself in disguise ? LOL, I mean you are able to hit the drum note by note like you were there when he recorded those songs, amazing man !
Awesome job on this one ! Lot’s of gaps and time changes make this a challenge to play and you pulled it off perfectly. Neil is smiling down on you for sure.
Bro, lovin ALL your Rush covers! I feel like you are channeling Neil Peart! You are making me want to pick up the sticks again so bad! Was more than 30 years ago when I stopped playing and joined the Air Force. Had a Tama set that was close to Neil's kit. 2 24 kick drums 6,8,10,12,13,14,15, 16,18 toms 6.5 x 14 snare assorted cymbals, china type, etc... Left the kit at home, my mom later sold the whole set for like nothing, like $1.5k - $2k or so if I remember correctly. Miss playing so bad watching you! 007
I too Joined the Air Force after my band broke up and didn't play for 25 years! Just recently got back into it and I wish I had never stopped! It's life bro. Just do it!
@@AmeriKen1974 Fark brother, that's awesome! Planning on it, just need to get a house with some land so I don't bother the neighbors, cause I plan on pounding all hours of the day and night hahaha! 007
What a Rush!! Pun intended. I've stumbled on you again. Farewell to Kings is definitely in my top 3 favorites along with Permanent Waves and of course Moving Pictures. Oddly I love Grace under Pressure and Caress of Steel. Your renditions are so enjoyable to watch. You looked almost frozen during the intro. Caught a few embellishments that I'm not sure were. Which is a good thing, right. Your percussion set up blew my mind. Did you RIP off the high school orchestra. Your abilities are outstanding. You almost make it look easy. How bout some Natural Science.
Nobody beats you when it comes to Rush covers. Great job
The rhythm section was great, but Lifeson's face melting solos back in the day injected the final emotional charge that raised the music to another level.
Absolutely flawless... Excellent work.
Quintessential song how Geddy and Neil were so tight together on the rhythm. You absolutely nailed it. Drop the mic.
No no no, drummers don’t have mics,
The phrase is pocket the sticks and don’t look back

I love watching your covers. I trust that this is the closest I’ll get to seeing Neil playing every song from a Birdseye view

That’s about as good as it gets folks. Absolutely perfect. Great job!
One of my favorite performances from Neil, the fills, the tension, the power...all there. Nice work Sterling!
Amazing precision from you man.
I really appreciate you continuing to perfect the Rush catalogue.
Much Thanks.
I Have Made Several Comments about This Dude a Few Years Back. He is Truly The Best I Have Seen. !!
Along with Book 2 this is one of the best pieces Rush did, imho. The drumming on this song is not easy, and you did a great job with all of the parts. Great job Sterling!
Fantastic !! Absolutely Fantastic !!! If I was going to start a Rush cover band YOU would be my drummer!!! Thank you.
Vederti in azione è un piacere per gli occhi.

Holy cooooow!! That’s gotta be one of the best Rush drum covers I’ve ever seen, excellently played!
Awesome job on this one ! Lot’s of gaps and time changes make this a challenge to play and you pulled it off perfectly. Neil is smiling down on you for sure.
I feel like I'm watching Neil playing. What can I say that others haven't said yet? Great, fantastic and awesome 👏 😀
Awesome! No other words, except, now I want more. Great job Sterling!
Awesome! A lot to remember, seriously.

No comments....! images and sounds do for themselves.!!!
Tricky stuff right there. Fun to watch.
Nice touch with the fade out.
Amazing playing this song is a tough one and you nailed it ! 🤝
Perfection!!
These are amazing!
This is quite frankly staggering ❤️
BRAVO!!!!
5:29 where phil collins got that fill from
Pretty darn close
Pretty much spot on throughout! Thanks for sharing
From a Rush documentary, a guy once said, if you can play La Villa Strangiato then you can play anything
That was really awesome - thank you
Awesome, simply awesome.
Sterling , I hope Geddy and Alex call you up and want to jam sometime. Or you call them! It would be interesting to say the least! Bravo!
8:07 when the magic happens
Hell yeah
Flawless! An absolute work of art.....
Freaking speechless! ❤️
Yep,
You nailed it…..
Awesome job!!!!
Good stuff
Neil would be impressed 😊

3:57 omg!
rush could take this guy on tour
Am I wrong in thinking the timing of percussion has to be very exact? Not complicated musically, but complicated for them to be so tight
You fuckin rock!!!! WOW
Time to do the other parts ....and the one
About the guy who
Finds a guitar😊😊😊
Masterful, bravo !!!!
The ending is the closest Rush got (that I've heard) to being psychedelic rock
Psychedelic Rock was never this technical.
omg that demoman profile pic
The end, what about the intro
Hi sterling could you tell me what size your splash cymbal in the middle is and what kind?
Do you just never eff up or is there a blooper reel?
Riveting as usual
Thats got to be a level
9or 10 difficulty
If you're a drummer, check out Chick Corea "Eye of the Beholder" album. That and the record before it is a 10 in terms of difficulty.
Why you don´t lived in Brazil? I will ask to you marry with me, everyday, and ask to you play to me everyday with your talent in our house!
