That exchange between Matt Gaetz and Kevin McCarthy was in January when the Republicans were arguing about who was going to be speaker of the House, they did have a real confrontation and my man who got held back was actually going to attack Matt Gaetz.
More specifically, they had just had the vote that was supposed to elect McCarthy. Somebody didn't do it according to plan, and McCarthy came up a vote short, or something. McCarthy and that other guy that looked like he was about ready to slug Gaetz were upset at what happened. It seemed McCarthy and others thought Gaetz was like the "whip" for the 20 holdouts, but he really wasn't. He was just one of the rebels. So, he was getting blamed for the screw-up.
McCarthy was elected Speaker on the next vote.

I watch that BLR video over and over and laugh every time. The way he interpreted those conversations was absolute genius! Regarding the scene where one guy is restraining the other (I saw the original live), many people were upset at Gaetz because he was holding out his vote - refusing to vote for McCarty as Speaker - until certain conditions were met, requiring 15 revotes which took an inordinate amount of time. People were getting tired and cranky and that one Rep rushed up to Gaetz and said "Gaetz, you're finished" along with some other stuff and the other guy not only restrained him but covered his mouth with his hand.
I think this one and "Soy Pablo" are tied as my two favorites.
90% of being in congress is trying to get out of awkward conversations.

Members of congress are occasionally allowed to bring their children with them to the floor. I hope George Santos's son realizes what an honor it is to be sitting next to his dad during a floor vote, but judging by his mannerisms, I doubt it.

It's much funnier if you know who the people are. That one where the old guy is talking about his dream to the young woman? That's the absolutely insane Republican Paul Gosar of AZ talking to left-wing Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of NY. The stuff he says in real life makes about as much sense as this. This footage is from the first session of the current Congress, when they were stuck their all night because the Republicans failed a record number of times to pass a resolution picking their Speaker of the House.
