Wow, clearly a lot of time and energy went into this tutorial. I impressed at how organized this tutorial is and how you cover a range of skill levels. The download is great as well. I’ve subscribed.
Wow, your comment seriously made my day!! Thank you so much, and I so appreciate you subscribing. I like including the option to level up to meet players where they are, and also as a way to create your own unique arrangement of the song- to mix and match elements. 🎵
I enjoyed playing and singing the song. Your way of gradually increasing the complexity of the srum makes it easier to sing and play at the same time. A huge thank you, Kathryn.
This song is basically an American treasure. GREAT one for the ukulele with lots of ways to level it up and make it your own. Let me know if you try it out!
You're very welcome, glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for your kind words. P.S. I have an album on Spotify under Kat Selman, if you want to hear more. 🎵
Thank you so much for this Kathryn. This beginner needs your permission to vary the strum. I'm rather tense strumming and I've just learnt so much from you. I've been learning the uke for 2 years - I'm a senior and it's my joy. Cheers! Best wishes.
Hi Lisa, you are so welcome! So glad you are finding my videos helpful. YES - you 100% have permission to vary your strum!! You are not a robot, you are a creative human musician. 🥰 Joy is a great choice of words, I feel that too when I play ukulele. Cheers to you as well Lisa!!
thank you. appreciate the way you teach and provide everything we need for success including multiple options. this is the first video I'm seeing from your channel, will definitely be checking out what other videos you have. cheers!
Wo, you really have a beautiful voice. It was a pleasure to follow your video and singing. At the end I found the video and a little too long. What I think you should change is the notation of the chords. It was very confusing to look at a long line of grey letters and lines. It would help to have the lines that devide the measures in another colour or length so that my eye can grab these little pieces much more easy.
Hey thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate your feedback too - I'll take a look and see what I can do to improve readability. I like the idea of doing it in another color. ☺🎵

One of your best lessons...Everything one needs to do this song justice. (Except practice ;-)) Thanks a bunch!
Hey Chuck, thanks so much! Haha yes, practice not included. 😉 You're welcome friend!
