    OK I'm going to need you to create more videos. You have the most soothing voice ever. I could just sit here and watch these videos non stop while my printers print my cookie cutters 😅

      Thankyou and that I can do, more on the way although the one I'm currently working is not likely to be soothing 😂
      I actually have an idea for a vid to make cookie cutters, do you know if standard fdm pla is safe to use for cookie cutting ?

    haha I love the humor in this video and especially the ending! I also love resin-printing, but if I could save you some running back an forward with a new kind of resin-printer, would that perhaps be something you would be interested in? 😇

    You're the first video result on Google for "3d printer in a shed". I'm curious how it's going in the winter months, and if you've had any issues with damp/condensation? Looking for a cheap solution myself.

    • @edwardpeak01
      @edwardpeak01  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am the first video and still so little views 😂 oh well. Ooooo yes so I have taken my printer out of the shed simply because if it gets below zero it will break the screen when it freezes. Other than that the shed is great

    I keep contemplating putting my printers in the mangle room, we live in a pretty old, though well-kept, flat complex. XD I think I'd get busted pretty quickly, though...
    Now the bomb shelter on the other hand...! I go down there to do some sanding sometimes, always vacuum after myself, of course, but I don't think many people go in there.

    • @edwardpeak01
      @edwardpeak01  ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as it doesn't get below 0 degrees at any point you should be good. I am actually currently talking to a company about a printer that has built in filters and heating which would be perfect for a flat complex

    Bl00dy curtain twitchers, I would have been very tempted to print a giant, motorised two-finger salute.
    What are your plans for keeping the printer & resins warm in winter? Heating the shed is going to be very expensive and all but impossible, so I guess you'll be concentrating on a heated, insulated enclosure?

    • @edwardpeak01
      @edwardpeak01  ปีที่แล้ว

      Please print that, that would be glorious. Well so far I just have a fermentation belt around the vat which does the trick when it's turned on. However winters coming and I'm not 100% how to keep the LCD screen from freezing when it gets below zero. I don't really want to have a cable running to my shed all through winter so to honest at the moment I'm not sure.

    😂 Great video. Have you had any issues with printing in the cold?

    • @edwardpeak01
      @edwardpeak01  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou , yes I've had many and am currently terrified my screen is going to break if it's gets below 0 degrees.
      But generally speaking my heated belt works just fine when it's in operation

    What do you do for moisture and temperature control? My printing space has now been occupied and am looking to buy a shed for my 3d printing which would also include my FDM printer

    • @edwardpeak01
      @edwardpeak01  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Moisture has been an issue for me recently I now have to replace two shelving units because it looks like it's about to grow legs. So I am no expert on that.
      However temperature 🌡️ is much easier to handle, comgrow plant enclosures are what I use to insulate/protect my printers and for my resin printing I have a automatic heating pad just to prevent it from freezing. My printer self heats but before I had that I used a fermentation belt and wrapped that around the vat.
      Nope this helps, be wary of the mold
