Nate, Saweedee krap from Bangkok. Mother Nature at her finest! Thanks for sharing the ride. Can not wait until next weekend to hit "Hawes" in Phoenix. Blue skies...
Best thing about Nate HIlls is that he's so skilled across all riding styles, etc, but can still give props to the people he's riding with that are not as good, but still doing some steeze in their own skillset. XC, Flow, Jump lines, Etc.. Nate does it all yet remains humble and seems like a fun dude to ride with whatever your skillset.
thankyou for posting this video. i have lived in crested butte for 43 years and am a avid mountain biker. i had hip surgery in july and another surgery in sept. so no riding for me. i love strand hill!! offers so much this close to town. would have like to see you all riding some of the more technical sections on strand and teocalli. also show the uphill part on teocalli ridge and strand as well. people watching this and have never rode here might think wow this look like sick trails, not knowing both have tough uphills. especially teocalli ridge. its obvious that all you are hammerheads and ride hard and fast and the uphills were not as brutal to you all but for most average mountain bikers they are tough. that said being laid up this video absolutely made my day. i will be watching it again and again.! did you guys ride reno/flag/bear/deadmans? , deercreek, 401, lupine, upper lower loop, hunter hill, dike trail ?
Hi Robb! I've never been to CB (live in Asheville, NC) but considering driving out there this fall. The problem is, all the videos and info are really coming from young (dudes). I'm a 68 year old female, been mountain biking for many years, but I've never been a black diamond rider. We just got back from 2 weeks in Bentonville (self described Mountain Bike Capital of the World!). It's a great place with every level and kind of trail, our second time there. My husband Tom is a better, faster, rider than me, I'm the more fearful one, the risk/a crash at my age isn't worth being off my bike for a while!. So, I'd say I'm a solid blue diamond rider, my 5 hour riding days are in the past. Are there plenty of trails to make the trip worth it? We'd have to drive, 2 or 3 days, and I've been told it takes quite a while to acclimate to the elevation. Might eat up 5-7 days from leaving to getting on a trail. SO, it's a big commitment and I wonder if it's worth it. Any thoughts? Thanks for reading!
Hi Nate, do remember the exact date of this ride? The colors look spectacular! I'm heading out to Crested Butte next week (Sept 29-Oct1) and hoping the colors are popping like this. Just wondering if this was the around September 30th/October 1st, 2023?
Excellent! I’ve never biked in Crested Butte and the leaves changing will make it that much cooler. I actually planned to ride these two trails already. Thank you! Great video(s) by the way!
This is the route we rode on this particular day as we were camping in the area- webmap.onxmaps.com/backcountry/share/content?share_id=01HWB1T6WW5WXTAHFK5HK0SHB1 Absolutely stunning in the fall.

Was out there last year. CB should be on everyone’s bucket list.
The trails are too smooth. Dr park was really a back diamond ews trail? Really?
Try and beat my time on Doctor, lol.
