Hello alan Thanks for your comment
yes the downstairs gets toast, and the upstairs is warm.
i put it on for 30mins in the morning on full.
and the turn it down to number 2 out of 6.
this has been keeping the house nice even today -4, -5.
have a look at my other videos, you will see more...

If that unit has an abrupt power interruption, diesel exhaust will spill out the combustion intake. Since the combustion intake is outside your home it seems like it shouldn't be a problem, except your cold air intake is right above it. So if there's any kind of combustion fault and the machine is alive enough to cool itself off, it could blow all the smoke right into your home. The solution would be to plumb the cold air intake to your living space.

Hello my friend Thanks for your comment
      good point, thanks
yes i know, i cant believe that the central heating systems are that much.
maybe newer ones arnt as much?
yes, i have just woke up to the -7 cold too.
and i put the heater on full, number 6.
i leave it on for 1/2 hr and then go and turn it down.
the downstairs will be toast (bit too hot)
      and the upstairs is warm.
when i renovated 5 years ago i put as much insulation as i could.
      i think thats important.
the other heater in the garage does not give as good results, i think that is because the garage is not well insulated.

I have heard the air intake would be better indoors as it recirculates heated air rather than introducing (and having to heat up) cold air from outside.

I have heater that should be arriving tomorrow. I've spent to enquiring about red deisel and heating oil prices locally.
Collection of 25 Litres already in containers.
Cheapest red deisel was £37 for 25 Litres
Heating oil was £32 for 25 Litres.
Mine isn't the all in one unit but just about everywhere is sold out of heaters and the ones that are available the sellers are charging well over the odds.

I have just done a 2 hour kerosene fuel test, on my 8kw heater and it used 300mls in 2 hours precisely on lowest setting, I'm very pleased with that. My smart thermostate says I am using £2.50 on average a day of gas heating running it 9 hours a day. Lucky for me that is at a fixed tarrif till end march, so for most homes that figure would be far higher. So I will burn 1.2ltrs in 9 hours I am paying £1.30 per ltr. For those of you getting kerosene at a £1 or less you will be very happy with that is £1.20 a day for 9 hours use

Great video. I feel hard done by. Here in Scotland I checked Kerosene price for 25lt collected from depo thats less than 10 miles from refinery. I was quoted this morning £130 a Ltr+4% vat, I would have been fine if that had been delivered.we get same thing with petrol and derv, really it should be cheaper the closer you are to the refinery, but its the opposite, prices seem to be higher

Same here. The refinery for the brand of gas in less than a mile away. Was told the higher price they extract from us at the pump is to maximize profits - their excuse is, that since its on the same street, there is no road taxes being collected. So, jack up the price at the pump. Its always about profits and taxes - even though, they pay zero in taxes at the end of the year, and their profits have been higher than any other time in history. I am getting one of these heaters and intend to run whatever will make it run in it.

Not sure why people keep trying to use these outside buildings?
If you want to set it at a temperature, so that it turn off , then comes back on to maintain that temperature, then it needs to be inside. Otherwise you should set the pump in manual at 3, as to not waste fuel, because the heater does not go above 210 degrees celsius, even if you set it in manual to 6 maximum. But then it will stay on all day, or until the fuel runs out.
I have ran mine for over two week at a set temp of 18 C, so that it goes off and back on once that temp is reached. And two week in manual mode, topping it off twice a day..
Manual mode setting the pump rate at 3 is the best setting, because it still reaches 210 in the burn chamber, while not wasting fuel.
If set in auto mode to a set temp to goes to 6 on the pump rate, burning excessive fuel while not going above 210 C.

My Chinese diesel heater burns inside the house, exhausts up a fire brick chimney. A fair amount of heat from the exhaust is reclaimed. My house is 2900 sq ft or about 269 sq meters split level. I run it on H2 day and night with a morning boost to H6 for 10 minutes to burn off any accumulation. The high ceiling living room 4.25 meters 14 feet high still stays 68F, 20C and at the other end of the house 80 feet 24.4 meters away it stays around 61F or 16C. I very rarely run my central gas furnace. The Air Quality District prohibits wood burning on select days but the heater can be unclamped from the wood stove within seconds to build a fire if needed. The diesel burner runs on an LFP lithium battery with smart charger to top it off so we get heat even during power failures. The neighbors all freeze.
Typical outside winter temps here are 40F, 4.4C at night and early morning getting up to 60F 15.8C in the afternoon. The entire roof has a surface of 50mm thick of sprayed on rigid urethane foam so the heat stays inside the house. It takes about 2 days of run time to bring tons of wood, plasterboard, ceilings, furniture and flooring to reasonable temperature after returning from a trip. It was 51F inside, 10.6C after returning from a 4 day trip with no heat on.
I burn red diesel fuel, $5.19 per US gallon, 3.78 liters. At H2 heat setting, a little less than 1/2 of a tank is burned in 12 hours. The heater blows on Ma while she sits on the couch with her laptop, good enough for her. When you get old, you get cold. The diesel heater is on it's 3rd season without problems. I took it apart and installed a new glow plug in October, it was clean and needed nothing.

I recently bought 20 ltrs of Red Diesel (£22.60). I topped off my 15L tank 12pm on Monday. I'm running on setting one. Heating a small laundry room partitioned off from the garage. So i will see how long it lasts until it needs filling again. (i will add the remaining 5 ltrs when the tank goes down a bit etc) Should be very accurate on how much they use. My guess is around five days. The good news is Red Diesel is dropping in price, and is expected to keep dropping.

i already bought 2 of these same units!!
    1) what size are your rooms? overall sq meters heated?
    2) temp difference outside vs inside?
    3) do you run the heater 24/7?
    4) are you using its own automatic temperature control? or are you using manual ON/OFF control?

so the saving on kerosene should be worth it.

....apart from the noise.... They really are quite noisy. I intend to draw 'cold' air to be heated from indoors, preventing the problem of the outside cold air requiring more fuel to warm it. The one worry I have is the noise. I would dearly love to know what sort of noise levels I should expect with an installation outside in a wooden box, running the cold air through a duct from indoors, and another duct taking warm air in again.
I have also given thought to the probability of higher air pressure indoors, (if I didn't draw 'cold' air from indoors) which will undoubtedly lead to the warm air being forced through all the nook sand crannies around doors and windows....

it depends where you are in the world and what you are paying for fuel.
there are many fuels you can use in these heaters, some waste products.
you may be in a better position than the uk?
      i hope you are.
      fuel price is high.

yes, i have just woke up to the -7 cold too.
and i put the heater on full, number 6.
i leave it on for 1/2 hr and then go and turn it down.
the downstairs will be toast (bit too hot)
      and the upstairs is warm.
when i renovated 5 years ago i put as much insulation as i could.
      i think thats important.
the other heater in the garage does not give as good results, i think that is because the garage is not well insulated.
