Thanks for this! Just started a new character to get back in the swing after a long absence. I was shocked when I was doing Hero of Tansarii, and found out there was a booster already included in the starter ship! (there wasn't when I ran this last a few years ago). Glad they updated it, but I agree that since I was already an experienced pilot and knew some tricks (just disabling some enemies to keep them from respawning, boost away to get out of range, etc) it seemed much easier. Still took a few hours due to all the long distance flying. I really wish it would at least give you some space XP, because it doesn't really prepare you for your actual pilot career. But great info on all these quests! Thank you!
The booster was a recent change on Legends as well as the parts being improved slightly. It is a VERY welcomed change giving how punishing the early game for space is. I also agree that I wish the quests would at least let you bank XP for when you do start a pilot trainer you don't have to think about grinding XP to level. Oh well, maybe Legends staff will update it in the future.
@@outofthisworldburrito I didn't realize it had a booster until about the second or third mission, when I looted one. Went to install it and there was one there! Also, you're right that all the equipment is better than most of what you loot there. The only thing I looted that was better, was an engine with slightly better stats. Other than that, it all ended up getting sold to the dealer when I landed. It is good to know they are updating and adding things, though. Going through Legacy with that character now, and when you mentioned that Watto gives the Barc speeder I was shocked! Also the skiff from Jabba's palace! Nice that they are giving some of those things as quest rewards to incentivize/reward players doing them. Looking forward to more videos!
Hey man, just wanted to say thank you for creating content around a game that I grew up playing and love dearly. It’s so much fun watching your adventures, learning new things along the way. The guides and comments are super helpful in my own journey back on SWG, and it’s been more fun than ever. I don’t have a lot of time to play, so I watch a lot of videos like yours and I can’t get enough. Thank you for providing educational videos and guides for when I do have time to hop on. I usually watch (listen) to and from my work commutes. Keep up the great content and work. I really appreciate and love the content!! Would love a class breakdown series if that is ever a possibility, but if not (I know it’s a lot), I totally understand. Thanks again mate
Thanks for the kind and thoughtful comment! I appreciate you watching or listening along to my videos. Currently I'm trying to finish a guide on Beast Mastery incubation that has become a bigger project than I originally planned but once I'm finished I'd like to create videos on more focused topics of the game. I have some ideas regarding the game's professions but if there is some specific point(s) you'd hope to see covered in a video about the classes let me know!
Cool video! Im currently lvl 26 going through legacy naboo and yeah its not very fun, thinking getting to correllia then stopping, which should get me about lvl 40, what do you recommend me trying after that?
I don't blame you. My general recommendation to players lately is to do the Tatooine Legacy and then the first part of the Naboo Legacy. Once you get the AT-RT reward for completing the Kaadara area you then leave Naboo and go straight to Coronet to start the Corellia Legacy. At level 40 your main alternatives to the Legacy Quests would be on Kashyyyk. Specifically the quests in the Kkowir Forest involving the Kerritamba Village and the Etyyy Hunting Grounds. I'll put some helpful links at the end of this comment to help point the way and if you get stuck my 1 to 90 playlist shows me doing all of the missions on Kashyyyk including these two series. Before going to Kashyyyk make sure you have a creature mount, like the varactyl or another mount you can buy from a player, so you can move faster around the Kkowir Forest and Etyyy Hunting Grounds. The Etyyy Hunting Grounds access will also have a required pilot mission. It should be doable by a Tier 2 or Tier 3 pilot but if space isn't your jam you can always ask for help in the Legends Discord. You'll still need to fly a ship for the mission but one player can fly wing to help with enemies. Have fun! I honestly feel you were unfair to the mustafar instances, especially HK47. These were a LOT harder when no classes had expertise, and crafted weapons weren't nearly as good. The weapons from the instances were def the BIS at the time. I enjoy them, even for nostalgia. Overall, I love this video though
I'm glad you loved the video! I agree that the rewards for the Mustafar instances are excellent especially at the expansion's release. The rewards are so good that many are still relevant and collected to this day like the Sprint Enhancement Stim, glowies for the Lava Crystal, and glowies for the Taming necklaces. Legends helped expand the relevancy of the glowies too as many are now part of schematics or components for many Mustafar weapon skins that used to be unavailable as crafted variants, like the AK-Prime Rifle. My greatest issue with the Mustafar instances are the fight mechanics themselves. I realize that most of them likely felt better when the challenge was much higher. For example, in HK the Forward Commander's stacking buff used to be something worth managing and CY's Kubaza Beetles did hit hard, but the GK units instantly stripping buffs in a game where buffs are half your build and take time/resources to maintain is very frustrating. I'm glad that on Legends the buffs only get suppressed, rather than removed entirely, as it keeps the challenge of the mechanic without the punishment of potentially needing to go rebuff before facing the last boss. If these instances get reworked/have new versions of them in the future I'd like to see changes that elevate both the difficulty and mechanics of the fights.
The piloting demos KILLED me 😂
i just watched a 3hour video about content i dont do or enjoy and enjoyed the video, good job
Glad you enjoyed!
