I'm glad the videos have been helpful! I'm playing at 1920x1080 resolution without any UI scaling. If you feel some of the user interface elements are too small at that resolution the SWG Legends launcher has an option to alter it. You go to the launcher and login then click Settings > Game Settings > Graphics tab then modify the game scale.

Right bicep is the Marauder Right Bicep (Reconnaissance variant).

Yes. The overall method should work with other emulators of the NGE era but I'm not confident it would apply to Pre-CU or CU emulators since the progression system there are somewhat different. Similarly, you likely wouldn't be able to stack the same XP bonuses I did as their implementation is unique to Legends. However, other NGE servers might tweak XP rates, add items to increase XP gain, or just let you skip the leveling process altogether.

My fingers are willing sacrifices for better resource spawns on the server.

Nice luck on the BL! DWB can get competitive so it isn't unsurprising to hear people harassing others inside.

Thanks for the suggestions! Leveling Trader is pretty straightforward so I figured this was a good variation on the guide concept for this specific profession. I definitely ran out of ideas to fill the dead air though hence me getting into trivia stuff occasionally. In hindsight I could've talked about basic things, like toolbar layout or general Trader stuff, but I guess that's a consequence of setting a short, self-imposed deadline (I wanted to film and upload it the first day of double XP so it was relevant). I'll definitely keep your comment in mind for future videos.

There hasn't been a new, notable, sandbox MMO in awhile so I understand how nothing has scratched the same itch SWG did. I also know the community at that time was very active and special to some which isn't something easy to replicate. Luckily SWG is still alive with fans as there are multiple communities surrounding different emulators. SWG Legends seems to be the largest active community with a game that models SWG during the NGE, which is where I play. If you prefer earlier versions of the game then there are other emulators that do Pre-CU and CU eras now.

I think the argument some would make to this point is to vote in a different mayor or find a different city, but I agree that the system may be too flexible for the mayor alone. Perhaps if there was a cooldown associated with it in addition to the cost to reset so it wasn't flipped so often? Something like that may better fit Legends' vision for the system rather than the overhaul I suggested near the end of this video.

Something new will be added eventually, but I agree it would've been an appropriate addition with this update.

What is it?

The TIE Defender's loadout in this video was all crafted parts: r5 (Archetype C), e5 (Mark III), s5 (Mark III), two a5s (Mark III), c5 (Deepwell Gamma), b5 (BR-3x), three w5s (Prototype Ion Cannons), Mark III Droid Interface, Mark III Proton, and Chaff Launchers. The Archtype C Reactor, Deepwell Gamma capacitor, and BR-3x Booster are learned from schematics rewarded for completing part collections. The Prototype Ion Cannons are purchased as schematics from the Nova Orion Station for Midlithe crystals. You'll have to complete the Nova Orion Theme Park to use the vendors. The flight computer was just Engine Overload 4, Weapon Capacitor Overcharge 4, and Reactor Overload 3. For Ace pilots I'd probably suggest a TIE Defender that looks like this: r6, e0, s0, two a0s, c5 (could use a Deepwell Gamma), b3 (BR-2x), and three w8s. Flight computer is the normal overload/overcharge 4s with Shunt 2 and a Heavy Front Reinforcement if you're PvPing.

Yes, especially if you enjoy sandbox experiences due to the number of systems in the game. I tried to keep the 1-to-90 experience informative when possible which may help with the learning curve but I know my guides are more detailed in some spots. Even the level 90 starter guide has good info for new level 5s. If you have questions regarding the game I try to keep an eye on comments here and be receptive to chatting on stream. The SWG Legends Discord is a great resource and I have my own Discord server where I help out too.

Thanks, and yes! SOE was absolutely mad when placing some of these quest objectives. I'm hesitant to do both sides of the theme park again but might because I'm pretty sure Nova's side is easier and want to prove it haha.

@@outofthisworldburrito I just spent 4k tokens and got a C and D tier W0s. Never had much luck from him on live. Been seeing a lot of Heavy X's in DS on Legends. On live it ended up 3:1, so Rebels would stay on A-Wings. There was one B-Wing pilot that could lay waste though.

Still a nice pull! I've spent 45k tokens in the last week on a0s and haven't even pulled something close to D Tier. The dynamics of Deep Space PvP compared to GCW Invasions have been interesting. The skies are still ruled by the lightest interceptors class but some heavier builds can stay up if there are some numbers to cover them. Once numbers on my faction dwindle I land the Adv X-wing and call it a day or switch to a Heavy Scyk and no-brain some 100% throttle boosted turns.

At least you can unlock some of the one-time stuff on that Trandoshan again like quest rewards and collection items! The Empire/Remembrance Day events are probably my favorite, or at least next to the Galactic Moon Festival. I hope you have fun getting those event items!

Beast Master is definitely a boon for medics; I use them on my medic in endgame. I don't often recommend leveling as Beast Master because I personally don't like leveling pets at the keyboard. 😅

Once you've completed the Clone Relics quest to earn the JSF deed from Vader you'll be able to fly it as any faction. Completing the quest is the only unique prerequisite, you don't need to remain Imperial aligned once the quest is over.

No clue. I have no insights into what the Legends staff are working on. Based on previous updates I'd expect future ships to continue to fill new niches, like the Lambda being a heavy fighter/POB hybrid, and clone stats to give other pilot careers access to certain builds, like how the new TIE Brute is just a clone of the Y-Wing.

It has its niche but the low mass does make it hard to build compared to other chassis.

It is a great small interceptor for PvP but the mass makes it hard to build out. I wouldn't make it my first project.

Space has no minimum level requirement, you could start it at level 5 if you wanted. I started space on this character after finishing the Naboo Legacy (~40) to take a break from the ground-based quest content. If you want to complete all of the Kashyyyk Quests then you'd probably want to start space before heading there.

Thanks for sharing! If I do Lady in Waiting I'd probably do it along with Kizash and Sinya since those get run together often. The other world bosses (i.e. Krayt/Peko/Gorath) have been on my mind too. Definitely need groups for all of those. Some people farm the Mynocks in the Dark Jedi Temple for Hydrolase enzymes too since they have more total Hit Points than Krayt Dragons. I haven't done it myself as it seems like a pain compared to how easy Krayts are to get too lol.

Good luck! The scientist is in a weird spot especially since the line-of-sight doesn't play nicely up there.

I've found Deep Space PvP more enjoyable and accessible than Space Invasions since you don't have to worry about NPCs or the Frigates jumping you mid-fight. A lot of people have been hanging out in the region since release so finding some people to fly wing hasn't been hard. I'm still skilling up in Space PvP so it helps me a lot not having to dive in solo always.

I never got to Ace on live. The furthest I got was 'Exotic Vessels' as a Freelance Pilot so I could fly the Vaksai for Kashyyyk quests. The Legends Space community's documentation and support made getting through to Ace a lot more manageable than live.

I'm glad the video was a good refresher for you! I have a few friends hoping to do Undead Rancor so maybe I'll try to form a group for that some time. General interest in it is low so getting people together for it can be tough.

@@outofthisworldburrito Yeah, I go in most days to whittle away at the kill collections and it's about 50/50 whether there is anyone else there. I said a full group and should have said full PUG. Last week I went in with a group of that had two medics and a trader with it. Only timed out once. The shock collar dropped all three other times we killed it. I wonder if that was rng smiling or they made it a guaranteed drop? I'll help anyone with any part of the QZ. I've soloed everything but the third survivor and the bunker.

@@_itsallahoax You had great collar luck! Last time I ran Undead Rancor we slew it 8 times; the collar dropped twice and the same Jedi won the lottery rolls twice because he thought he could sell them even they we told him they're No Trade Shared. My BM is still collar-less. 😭

@@outofthisworldburrito When I heard that part of the video I thought to myself, "what a d-bag..." Need overrides greed. That's the way my rng rolls, great luck with drops I'll never use (never tried BM). Then I had to pretty much live in the DWB to get a full set of liquids back on live and only looted one jetpack base. Not long after I get the TCG jetpack from a free pack lol.

I agree that in a 1v1 scenario fighting against a profession with significantly more control in a fight isn't very fun. It is one of the reasons I don't take my commando out into solo PvP anymore; the lack of innate tools in the profession to retaliate against something like a Spy or Smuggler can be frustrating especially if your enemy is good at what they do. There are buff items that help counter stuns but they are kind of annoying to have on hand at all times. On Legends 1v1s are pretty rare outside of bounty hunting so the Spy/Smuggler fights don't feel as oppressive since they fall away in group play a bit. In group play, when there is a good spy I can't pin down I simply ignore them and Pistol Whipping becomes more of a defensive tool/punish on an enemy out of position since it requires melee range.
