Hi Pete,, I sent a comment but I guess It got lost but that wasn't fair.. at least another door 🚪 opened up and you got a great truck 🚛 an a old gas pump ⛽.. ✌️ Peace..
No, it’s more like it’s only original once and the patina tells a story of who owned it and how it was used vs looking like it was in a catalog. Patina is character and art. Painting tells me your boring
OMG living the dream nice signs how many does it take to load a gas pump lol that doesn't look like a true SS but what do I know 45 years with Chevrolet just saying maybe it wasn't meant to be decode the VIN
It had a bunch of stuff that was replace after dude wrecked in all boozed up. He told the original engine to get the car fixed. We know where the original engine is.
We spoke the morning of before I drove 2.5 hours west to him, it was only when I got there he raised the price, fact of the matter is that car won’t ever be sold. He gets off on the attention, I’ll buy it off another family member of his someday.
@@Ironcitygarage yup one of his kids will end up dumping it hopefully you get a shot it. So frustrating for crying out loud just be up front with you on the phone and say "I want an extra 2k" then you can decide whether u want it still BEFORE YOU DRIVE for 2.5 hours.
That isn't a true SS, I sure wouldn't pay what he's asking because it's not a true SS. I bought a 67' Malibu 2 dr. ht. new in 1967 and at the time test drove a SS with a 396 (all SS had 396's. That one has a small block in it.
@@Ironcitygarage If he decides he wants to sell to you now, I would go back to the original agreed upon price and have your buddy Devin run over there and get it back to his property.
Getting the Chevelle would have been nice but when you're dealing with some whack job hoarder who isn't playing with a full deck and probably hasn't for a long while--then you did the right thing by taking a hike. That carcass will be in that pig barn until it collapses or catches fire. They live among us, unfortunately.
THERE'S ALWAYS THOSE GUYS TRYING TO GET MORE OUT OF THE DEAL BECAUSE THEY GAVE YOU A PRICE THEN THEIR BUDDY SAYS YOU CAN GET MORE. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
There was a guy I knew not as a good friend, but just knew of him I wouldn’t claim him as a good friend anyway, he would buy a car like a Chevelle or something like that and he would remove some of the things off of the car like emblems Like hood chrome pieces and things like that do you know what I’m talking about and he would sell the car and then he would tell the guy hey I’ll keep an eye out for these kind of parts. I’ll see what I can come up with invite a month later he call the guy back and say hey I found those insert pieces for your hood and a couple of other emblems and things like that on the side of the car and then sell them to the guy who bought the car that’s a piece of shit anyway beware of that folks this is Jim mungai from Kennerdell Pennsylvania
1935 Ford 1 ton with flathead motor. Central California watching
love the finds and the road trips.
More to come 🙏
Keep up the good work for all us in the Burg -- steel city strong
You know it 🫡
Is the Chevelle a 138 VIN? Lots of clues saying its not.
When one door closes, another one opens. Other than that, its a good truck. 😁
It sure is!
Evening Pete!!
Sucks the deal fell through on the 67 Chevelle..
In the end the ladder was the better options that Chevelle would have been a piece of work
Hi Pete,, I sent a comment but I guess It got lost but that wasn't fair.. at least another door 🚪 opened up and you got a great truck 🚛 an a old gas pump ⛽.. ✌️ Peace..
What did you say the first time?
The F 150 is probably a better option anyway because Custom Cabs are very hard to find.
The word "patina" is spoken a lot on the internet. I guess it id code for "I do not do body and paint work".
No, it’s more like it’s only original once and the patina tells a story of who owned it and how it was used vs looking like it was in a catalog. Patina is character and art.

Yeah I think that's what it means.

Man awesome video..like it when you take us with you on your trips to buy old trucks or cars.. 👍👍

That F100 is sweet. I'd replace the left fender, swap the drivetrain and drive it like it is.
I gotta say you had the opportunity to buy it several times can't be pissed at him for raising the price.

@Iron City Garage sorry I missed that part yeah screw that guy, I wouldn't deal with him then. Should he change his mind

If it's the same car he pulled the same shit on me after I drove from nebreska to buy it

It is a true ss by the vin, it got wrecked and ended up with a 327 and a Malibu clip, I know where the drivetrain is
The car might be a tag job. Graveyardcarz found a frankenstein cuda with a regular and cuda grafted together.
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for the visit
That cars not an SS. Unless they changed the dash. Looks like a Malibu with SS badges. They never made an SS with a small block in it.
Damn that’s very knowledgeable
@@jessekauffman3336 I’ve owned 27 chevelles and a few were SS. A handful were 67. My favorite year.
@@SpeedandChromeTV you da man or woman
Some people will buy anything for the right amount.
My 1965 chevelle is a real 138 ss and has a small block 283 bro you don’t know shit 😂
Love the show brother the camera work is awesome glad I tuned in 😊

I wouldn't be surprised if you get a call back from the owner of that Chevelle. Just saying.
We are playing chess now not checkers. He knows he messed up.

Hopefully he can delivery. I wouldn't make that drive twice.
The SS emblem on the grille looks like one off of a 69’ Chevelle SS!
Good.job😄😄👍👍👏👏👏cool
Steve Magnante has stated that there were SS chevelles sixes early on.
good pick ups mates
Appreciate it

Unless they replaced the engine, it doesn't look like a true SS.
They did
Unless they blew the original big block put in a small block does look like an ss

It was just a regular Malibu, nothing special,I built a few clones in the 90sbut it would have been cool to build,
I'd take a Ford any day.
Agreed
Good for you keep your fords
Typical person thats proud of their car and wants an arm and a leg for it
Oh boo....painful.....

I could teach you how to seal these deals without this kind of nonsense and wasted time and money. This kind of stuf should never happen!
