    I notice that every iPhone I've had, the battery takes forever to dip below 90%. But as soon as it does, the battery drains very fast.

    • @PeterNjeim
      @PeterNjeim 8 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Yeah, I have an iPad 3 and when it's been charged overnight. It stays at 100% for like 20 minutes then starts to drain at a normal pace. I think they do that so you think it has really good battery life when you first buy it, so you don't want to return it quickly.

      My old iPhone4's battery charges so fast & drains at a low speed. I don't know why . It charges from 0 to 100 @ only about a hour . It don't even get hot .

    • @overknight5278
      @overknight5278 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MrDanMan also takes the iphone a lot longer to die... my iphone 7 lasts twice as long as the galaxy s7. I traded the s7 for thr iphone. Now my father has the galaxy s7edge and my iphone 7 still eats less battery. Coming from school my battery is a lot less drained then my father who typiclly uses just a few apps, texting, calling, google for game reports. Mine is netflix and music with bluetooth headphones. S7 has its benefit that it doesnt take long to vharge but from my experience the iphone usually last longer

      OverKnight 52 That's good for you then.But in this case he has compared the battery with the same moderate to heavy usage on all devices.Iphone 7 has a better standby time than s7 and performing tasks that consume less power on iphone 7 really helps and works well with you.But we will say that the smartphone performing best at the end of a mixed light to heavy usage is the ideal choice.

    • @Di_Genius123
      @Di_Genius123 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like turtles MONEYZZZ On the OP3 the back, home and multitasking can either be on-screen or be off screen like the S7 edge. You can also configure it to have back and multitasking swapped meaning back will be on the right and multitasking on the left. This can be done both on-screen like the pixel and off-screen like the S7 edge. The good thing about OnePlus is, you have the option to change mostly everything if you're a tech person

      Johann Lopez Impressed? It has a smaller screen and supposedly a 'clean' Android and Android Nougat which supposedly is more battery friendly than Marshmallow on the S7 Edge, yet it has less battery life left. Not impressive at all.

    • @johannlopez4524
      @johannlopez4524 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      yes but it also has a tiny 2770 mah battery. It beat the oneplus 3 which has 3000 mah basttery which has the same resolution. a fraction of an inch difference doesnt have much of a effect of the battery life. the bigger pixel xl with a larger screen than the pixel has better battery life than the pixel

    • @gjna5143

      Johann Lopez According to the extensive GSM Arena battery life test chart of all mobile phones, Pixel XL also even doesn't come close to the S7 Edge regarding battery life and that was only with the US Snapdragon version. The Exynos even does a lot better than the Snapdragon when it comes to battery life. Also in this test and the GSM Arena one, the Pixel runs the supposedly more battery friendly Android Nougat instead of Marshmallow on the S7 Edge. So again, not impressive at all.

      no this would be even less fair, considering the s7 edge has a larger battery, it still has a massive screen and more ram and background functions, its just apples fault that they use a 1750 mAh battery when samsung was smart enough to include 3000-3400 mAh batteries in their super phones

      Timotej Leško he's saying that since he used a 5.5" screen on the Samsung it would only be fair to use the 5.5" versions on the pixel xl and the iPhone.

    • @waycoolscootaloo
      @waycoolscootaloo 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem is that the larger and higher resolution screen of the iPhone 7 Plus eats away the battery life even faster. In real world use the iPhone 7 Plus battery life is similar to the standard iPhone 7. Regardless the S7 Edge battery life is considerably better than booth iPhone models even though its pushing a 1440P screen. That's why Apple wants to use a Samsung OLED display on the iPhone 8.

    • @koontaps33
      @koontaps33 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on usage. When I had an iPhone 6s plus the battery lasted longer to me than any Samsung phone I have had mostly because everything on Apple is optimized. My pixel xl last longer than my iphone I used to have and a lot longer than any Samsung phone I've had.

    • @waycoolscootaloo
      @waycoolscootaloo 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross McCray It's actually scientifically documented though that the Galaxy S7 has a considerably longer lasting battery under most situations.
      Every major test has shown the Galaxy S7 to last longer. Not just this video. But there are hundreds of videos showing this. Many major publications say this too. The Galaxy S7 also uses a vastly superior screen in terms of energy usage. I also get to see how the iPhone 7 run's all the time. The iPhone 7 battery drains so much quicker in my experiences as well.

      Damn near anything that makes the Galaxy S7 Edge the S7 Edge, I have turned off. No tap-to-pay, no Edge features, had all of my radios off except for mobile data and the occasional location, almost all of the advanced features off except for little things like the screenshot options... No clue what it was.
      Booted into recovery, cleared cache, charged to full, and since then battery seems to be doing pretty well.

    • @coleG112
      @coleG112 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Android system has used nearly half of all my battery usage since that full charge. I feel like that's not normal. It's literally nothing but Android System, Screen, and Android OS. 46%, 31%, 21% respectively. 8% total drain in 2 hours on charge, 22 minutes screen-on. Seems alright to me so far.

      Γιάννης Π.
      When you compare the 7 Plus to the S7 edge, the S7 Edge loses despite having bigger battery.
      Price shouldn't be too much of a factor in that.
      Actually, the S7 edge is pricier than the 7 Plus and yet it still performs worse.
      S7 Edge = $780
      iPhone 7 Plus = $769
      Your point, proven wrong. Additionally, S7 Edge is a MUCH slower phone than the 7 Plus is.

    • @GiannisP98
      @GiannisP98 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i agree in some things with you....you take it wrong....1 bigger resolution 2 fast charge 3 wireless charging 4 audio jack :p and much more that apple doesn't provide you. even if i pay more as you say you discharge quicker and you charge slower...and time is money my friend :) And don't say about ipad charger...because it is not coming in the box mine does...you see it is the point of view and i say that to you not as a fun boy but as a guy that search and understand technology and finds the value for money...my pocket is not so big for those phones but i have a samsung galaxy a5 2016 and i am happy because my battery last 1-2 days easy with heavy usage. :)

      Γιάννης Π. My 7 plus lasts me the entire day. As for the iPad charger, most people in the US have 2.4 amp chargers for various things other than iPhones. So people just use those to quick charge their iPhones. It works great!
      The resolution thing is a scam. Look up what Pentile Displays is. The Samsung actually uses 33% more pixels to make up the same image. That's why they make it a higher resolution because of the flaw that their OLED displays are PENTILE designed.
      Once they make a real display, I'll agree with you. Until then, Pentile display isn't the way to go.

    Hi, this is just a comment for your video, I enjoy seeing it. but this are my recommendations:
    1. you should update the pixel for a most fare competition
    2. it will be interesting see how the phones at 10% of battery improve their live time with the highest power saving mode that they own
    3. try to use Snapchat and Spotify at the same time
    4. try the phones battery by using the Bluetooth

      Vinddraken well its battery is 1950... the edge is 3600.... plus personal ecperience the galaxy lags a lot more in games, not only that in evey day to day use, my galaxy s7 died much quicker then my iphone 5s. Now i switched to an iphone 7 and its battery lasts much longer then the galaxy s7. Since the apps in the back round kinda close unlike on andrioid. A new andrioid phone will completely defeat the iphones battery. But after a month, the iphones battery beats it yet its half the size

      Devin Stoltz 5.5 consume much battery then a 5". they should work on their battery backup. galaxy is doing good job for battery life.

    • @devinstoltz9363
      @devinstoltz9363 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      mudassar mushtaq 5.5" phones consume more battery, you're right there. But considering the fact that the galaxy s7 has almost double the pixel battery, that's a little unfair don't you think? It would be more fair if it was the Pixel XL vs. S7 Edge

  • @simonedaniel
    @simonedaniel 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Basically, here is the ranking:
    1. S7
    2. Pixel
    3. OnePlus3
    4. iPhone 7
    Keep in mind the battery is quite small on the iPhone, so it actually used the least number of milliamp-hours, but still, it has the worst battery life overall.

    • @luisvazquez7216
      @luisvazquez7216 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hugh Mungus no the ranking is
      1. the phone with the stopwatch
      2.s7
      3.pixel
      4.one plus 3
      5.iphone

    • @simonedaniel
      @simonedaniel 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      luis vazquez Haha, the stopwatch phone wasn't part of the comparison. But that looks like a Xiaomi phone, and they tend to cram in low power specs and a huge battery, so I could see why that happened. It is nowhere near a flagship, though.

      Parul Thakur you right. 2000 battery on the iphone 7 😂 but tbh i had the galacy s7 (3000) it would last less then the iphone 7 i have now. The thing is, every day to day use after a month the galaxy kinda runs too many apps in the back round and it drains really quickly. Its pathetic. A month after i had my galaxy s7 it would die in 3 hours netflix... my iphone 7 now dies after 5 hours of netflix plus snaochat messages 😂
