- Troopers were seen by reporters arresting people after hundreds of students walked out of class to protest the war in Gaza and demand the university system divest from companies that manufacture machinery used in war.
Meanwhile, in North Texas, dozens of students at the University of Texas at Arlington also walked out at that school on Wednesday, gathering in front of the campus library.
On Tuesday, about 100 students at UT Dallas occupied the administration building for several hours calling for similar divestments.

you've seen Israel's claims, you've most likely seen what they say, or maybe a video of them complaining about their horrible condition in a TikTok dance video or in a makeup tutorial, but I won't say that those claims are false to not spike an argument. all I ask is, if you want to talk about this unfortunate situation, then you have to be educated about it. educate yourself on what Palestine is going through, even if a little bit, and rethink your decisions.
I recommend listening to the people on the other side for a second. There’s hate on both sides, but if you think Israel is doing anything in good faith you should at least consider the innocent people that are suffering because of them: Palestinians.

If I was a teacher, those students who walked out we get an app and that doesn’t mean fantastic. Their parents or Student Loan’s paying 90,000 a year they should be earmarked anyone who’s choosing to walk away from education should not get a loan reimbursement.

Last year, my very liberal college graduations’ key speaker was a director at Raytheon. The only reason was due to the amount of money he donated to the school. It didn’t matter that not one student felt represented by him or his presence. American colleges are often largely funded by defense contractors. Students pay unfathomable amounts of money to attend a school, and therefore SHOULD have say in what partnerships a school had formed.
