For all you people screaming about injustices to Bette Midler, who I do appreciate as a musician, this is not originally her song it was actually originially written in 1982 by Jeff Silbar and Larry Henley and first performed and recorded by Gary Morris in 1983 as a single. As for this cover, I for one think it is very well done and a nice metal tribute to the song and compliment to the original writers. So in short even if Bette Midler doesn't like it, tough it's not her song either.

The feeling in this version is so much stronger than the Bette Midler version. . . they are feeling it so much more. Have to give them a lot of credit for that though I prefer it a little softer myself.

It's on their EP titled "Orientation". It's well worth getting if you can find it, it's got their cover of Maiden's Die With Your Boots On and an acoustic version of Mary Lou as well :)
If an adaptation of Suzanne Collins' other series Gregor the Overlander (The Underland Chronicles) gets made, I would love to hear this in the credits, because it fits the story so well, especially the bond the main character makes with one of the large Bats within the first book and throughout the five novels in the series.
