I hate watching unboxing vides, something that you didn't do. You went right to the scope and then proceeded to show what came with it, thank you sir for that. I've been watching more of your videos as I patiently await for mine to be delivered. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving, and I look forward to seeing more of your future videos.
Thanks Mark’s Place, I appreciate that. I hate long intros before the video gets to the point. It’s frustrating, lol. The waiting’s the hardest part (is that a Tom Petty song?). It’ll arrive before you know it. Anyway, Thanks again, we had a really nice Thanksgiving, it’s always good to get together with the family. I hope you did too, my friend.
Hey Mark. Well, I’m about to drop myself in the grease here, butI did it so now I have to own it. You had mentioned how you hate unboxing videos, and I agreed with you (still do). Well I was just looking through some of my first videos from 2 years ago, and damned if I didn’t make a couple videos that had the unboxing, lol. I hope that doesn’t make me a hypocrite, lol. I completely forgot about them. At the time I guess I thought that’s what people wanted to see. Mainly I did it so people can see what all it came with. At least back then they had like & dislike buttons, so if you got some dislikes, you knew to change what you’re doing. But now you can’t see how many dislikes you get. Well at least I quit doing it. Anyway, I hope that doesn’t turn you off of my videos. Talk with you later my friend. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
@@atomsworkshop195 Don't get me wrong, I don't hate watching unboxing videos, it's just that some videos will be just that. I like knowing what comes in the box, I just don't need to watch 10 minutes of someone showing you all the words printed on the box. Also that's just me, some people might like that. I usually just fast forward to the good stuff. I watch most of learnelectronics videos where he'll have a tendency to show in detail everything including the instructions where sometimes I'll watch the beginning if I'm in the mood or I'll just fast forward a bit. Doesn't keep me from watching his videos, in fact I think his videos are some of the best videos out there in the amount of information you learn from him within his expertise. I was just saying that I liked the way you showed what came in the box (which I was interested in) and went through the entire scope. There are a few good videos out there on this scope yet they didn't have the Automotive feature, making yours in my opinion the best video I've seen on that feature yet. No discouragement here, keep doing what you're doing bud. OH yah, my scope finally got delivered and man am I loving it. No more need for a laptop or tablet or getting tied to my bench. I have the Owon HDS272S which is a handheld. The problem is that it's only two channels and at times hard to see being that the screen is so small. Either way I see it you're doing a great job, and thanks for making them.
Nice oscilloscope! Thanks for the trouble you went through to make it. I will be interested in seeing how you use it on all the automotive systems. I just subscribed! Tom
Thanks for subscribing Tom, I always appreciate the support. I’ll be using the scope plenty, and making videos with it. I’ve used their previous automotive scope for the last two years, and really liked it. This one is better In quite a few ways, so I’m sure it’s gonna be a great scope. Only, I just had surgery this past Tuesday, so it’ll be a few days to a week, before I can get back at it. I’m excited to use it, so preferably sooner than later. Okie-Tom? You must be just north of me in Oklahoma. I’m in Texas, right next to Pleasanton. Close to San Antonio, but in the country. Welcome to the channel my friend.
Hello. Thanks for watching. Absolutely, I’ll have more videos coming soon. Planning on some tests on a car. Different components: Ignition, injectors, cam/crank, etc. If you’re not already subscribed, go ahead and do so, so he can see what’s coming. Take care my friend
I’m pretty sure they share the ground. All of my leads have a ground, so I always connect the ground for each channel. I think I saw a video of someone using one ground for all the channels though. I don’t have my scope with me at the moment, so I can’t confirm that.
Bit confused, the STO1004 has filters for Full, 20kHz, High pass and Low pass. The SATO1004 has all the extra automotive presets, but it seems to only have Full and Low pass filters? Looking into this as my first oscilloscope for work, so I'm not 100% sure what model will end up being the most useful for me
Hello. I believe the other filter options on the SATO are in the main menu, from swiping down from the top of the screen. I don’t have my scope in front of me at the moment. I’ll confirm this when I get home. If you’re using it for automotive use, I know it works great. Of course the Pico scope has more abilities, but it also costs a lot more. Also, the eSCOPE from ATS is gray too for automotive. But again, it costs a lot more. Good luck.
If you go to my videos on my channel, and click on the one that says Micsig Scope Case, you will see the one I have for it. I highly recommend it to keep your scope protected. It is a little pricey, but worth it. You can get it from Amazon. They also make a softer case that I bought for my first Micsig, that you could use too. It’s less expensive, but a soft case. I also have 2 videos of it. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
I really was thinking of buying this scope but there's a huge drawback for automotive use as for me. It has no fiture of moving several cuptured waves at a time.
Hello Oleg. I’m not sure what you mean by “moving several captured waveforms at a time”. Can you explain that a little more for me. I’m curious as to what you are saying. Thanks my friend.
Hello Israel. Yes, there’s many differences between this one and the ATO1104. I think my next video will be, showing both the ATO1104 & SATO1004 side by side explaining the differences. Thanks for watching my friend.

Does the sato1004 have floating grounds or do they share the ground?

Not a problem Jon. Thanks for the comment
Is the portable scope same as this one, if not what the difference considering is was more expensive than the portable scope
This scope is portable
What kind of case do you think will suit this scope.
