Good to see Steve on the video they farm only 5 miles from us near Banbury, we had tremendous rain but I’m on crutches after breaking my hip so wasn’t able to empty gauge so not sure how much we had but Lorraine said the flooding was bad when she was shepherding
One of the best things I did was change to liquid fertiliser so accurate, never had an issue with top up delivery’s at peak times, upgraded sprayers after years of use applying N with no corrosion cleanliness was the key.
Andrew, if this weather hampers your efforts to get the ‘Cereal’s Event’ grass seed in this week I would be happy to assist with a drone to achieve this over the wet ground. Happy to help out.
Cracking update again Andrew. I agree the new class tractor is a nice bit of kit but with a big price tag as well. Nice to see you getting on top of the jobs. 😊
Lovely bit of welding from Tom, crikey £180 a ton!! im sure it was that price when i was a student at lackham in 1995 with a big floppy hair do and half mast john deere overalls! Thanks Andrew
Agree cost of production are very high these day and hopefully you can a least recover those cost and leave a small margin of profit. Personally I like the pin and cone headstock for telehandlers
Good evening Andrew, I must apologise, I’ve not been able to keep up with the waffle lately, we’ve been incredibly busy on the farm, I’ve got about 10 videos to catch up with, but on the plus side I’ve got some good viewing to keep me busy during this spell of wet weather. 👍🚜
Morning Andrew, was you popping up to the Venue Friday afternoon due to this 30ac substation they are planning to put up on the heath due to these two large solar farms they are proposing, with your NFU hat on of course. I been told its so large due to possibility of more solarfarms in are kneck of the woods. Give the man on the tramper a ring if you don't know about it!
We couldn’t get any at the time from Spaldings where I was when they needed replacing. The price I got the hardened steel ones for (which I now can’t remember 😴🤦♂️) was too good value for money to drive somewhere else for the ceramic ones.
Hi Andrew a great update, I was going to say as I am a small farmer my self, but how does the tax payer benefit from lots of land in Sfi mixes, if it not producing food, and would this lead to more imports. I do understand feeding wildlife, but we can't eat wildlife. My self I am just going into SFI myself, and promar are applying for me.
😜 S-L-O-W M-O-T-I-O-N 😂 long waffle 😅 I think you should look into de-humidifier in your sheds. Cheaper to run than the hot fans I guess and produce hot air from the refrigerator. Water could be used to spread on fields. Could help keep the machinery from getting rusty too. Shame headstocks can’t be a standard like the 3 point link.
I'm all for caring for the environment but not at the expense of self sufficiency, seems we haven't got our priorities in the right order.
Agreed.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard WE HAVE ALL ready lost the horticultural sector in beds large and small in Bedfordshire
Indeed we have lost the plot literally ...

Welcome! Hope you enjoy the content. The tractor belongs to a charity and we’re just keeping it for them.
Fascinating insights into things some of us would never think about. Learning something from every update!
As always a great insight into your farm and trials and tribulations of British agriculture. Until the next update
Very good Andrew looking forward to the next update

Thanks Andrew. Where are you and have you spread grass seed before?
Slow motion Barry White, love it Andrew !!
😂😂
Thanks Andrew, a nice early midweek update. Looking forward to the next one.

Saturday, sunday and Mondays rain gave us over 5 inches over here near Woodstock Oxfordshire
That much would not do anyone any favours.
Dry good update.

Exactly, prices in the shelves keep going up but what we sell anything for doesn’t. ☹️😖🤬
Are you still going to see Henry at Short Ferry? I’m interested to see how it’s dried up and how he’s doing.
I am but he’s too busy to see me at the moment.

Good video Andrew, we have not had much rain here in ireland for a change
0ver 80 mm here Andrew and a few miles away they had 180!!
Bedfordshire Northamptonshire border
Great video Andrew
Would be nice to see also 48m sprayer working
Good video Wardy, think you filmed the Simba Solo backing in the shed on slow mo mode
And that was the only clip I didn’t check all the way through!

Tut tut!!! Can’t have any viewers going awol!! 😂
Apologies if you've mentioned this before on an earlier update but, whats the story behind the little Ferguson in front of the Manitou attachments ?
It belongs to Addington, the charity Forage Aid joined up with and I’m just keeping it over the winter.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard Ah right, thought it had been on the farm some years and was of sentimental value. Thanks Andrew
Nice video
Think I met you today somewhere around collingham be about 3-3.30 ish !
You did. I was off to see the Maus loading maize silage.

Hello Robert, I didn’t know about the meeting. I’m out all afternoon and out at 7pm but if I can come in between, I will.
great stuff
Andrew, regarding moling to aid drainage, rather than using metal expanders why don’t you use ceramic ones?? 🤔🤔🤔

… makes sense … might be worth trying the ceramics next time … 🤔🤔👍

Interesting video, the little Ferguson, Is it a TEA 20?

Cranium.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard Thank you for letting us know, Yes ,I found similar with Cranium last year.
Is that an Ireland rugby shirt ?
😳🤦♂️👍
The greatest rugby team in the world. Worn with pride Mr ward 😅
Why the manufacturers didn’t agree an industry standard for telehandler headstocks I’ll never know.
@robhall9599 it’s the same as pto shafts too
