Full Moon in Aquarius in 2 days! ♒ Alien has always been associated with Aquarius, and it used to my my signature, but not lately. But it was my obnoxious scent back then. It was a Profound magic tonic.
I'm not a big fan of Mugler's Alien, but this perfume is definitely a legend. Many spears were broken in the battle between lovers and haters of this perfume. What I always liked about Alien is the design of a bottle - it's very beautiful. And of course, Dacob, your story about this perfume is always preferable. ❤

Dacob if there is one piece of advice, i could give you, is that sometimes it's ok to not forgive the person that has wronged you, sometimes it's easier to forgive yourself first and make peace with the situation rather and make peace with the fact, that, the person who wronged you is what they are and although they hurt you, they are in the end they will have to live or not live with themselves and their ugliness and that is not your burden to carry any longer. Btw i absolutely love alien, it instantly makes me smile when i put it on, takes me back to my younger years of clubbing etc, etc. In fact mugler has always been one of my favourite parfume houses. Love your work! You're awesome!

L’Oréal knows what’s good, obviously. Your opinion matters a great deal; you take us all on a storied journey with each video, filling us with much food for thought. Finished a 30ml bottle of the current Alien within a year and had it refilled at my local beauty boutique. Hated the OG version, too. Now, with this new version, I’m a lover ❤. Thank you for the Mugler introduction into my life as I never heard of it before listening to your channel. Honestly, I was never into new brands and have always stayed with the classics like Chanel and Dior but since listening to your channel I have learned that oftentimes a synthetic may come into the perfume world that is soon to be the new "classic" i.e. provided the manufacturer doesnt change the formulas.....Mugler Alien is that new "classic" for me however the jury is still out on the Hypersense at the moment as it seems to be beyond the pale for my taste, but alas..... never say never.....
Absolutely love the background Dacob. Perfect pair with the perfume. Not a fan of Mugler perfumes. They give me headaches. Nice to hear your process of healing.

I love Alien eau de toilette!! The eau de parfum is a little too much for me. And I adore Alien Eau Extraordinaire, as you do. That one is so much fresher than the OG, and it reminds me a lot of the eau de toilette.
I was looking forward for you to review Alien, one of the very few perfumes that makes my eyes roll at the back of my head 🤷🏻♀️ It is indeed reformulated to be cooler and more floral it just that I don’t find it performing so great in cold weather and I have got compliments only in hot weather. As for the old formula it’s a narcotic an anaesthetic that will put you down 😂 You must love the indolic character of this perfume to love it, so my question is Dacob do you still smell the sociopath in the reformulation?
Haha great question. It seems as though the sociopath has been escorted put of the building in this formulation. We are left with clean flowers and a softer energy. No more frantic nerve wrecking looking over our shoulders just to be sure nobody is about to stab us in the back anymore. 🙌💖
Lighter perfumes aren’t always a bad thing. I remember when I used to only spritz two sprays of perfume on myself before leaving the house. Even though I couldn’t smell the perfume on myself I would occasionally get asked what I was wearing not that I was looking for compliments when I wear a perfumes but I do spray perfumes on myself for people to get an idea of who I was. I think I’m going back to that phase of my life where less is more and where I’d rather want the perfume to work with my body chemistry than to have the perfume be the only thing I or anyone around me smells. I’d rather have a collab with the perfume than to get lost in it. Yes, I still want to smell fragrances on myself so that’s where colognes come in handy. I really want brands to invest more in cologne productions but only if they’re priced under $100 unless if they come in larger size bottles. It seems like Alien is the type of perfume that doesn’t need to be over sprayed. I’m really excited to hear your review on the Alien flankers!

Alien is one of my all time fav (together with Kenzo Jungle L'elephant). The present formulation is pale comparing to the one before L'Oreal but still...It is one of the most beautiful fragrances ever created. I don t know why they turned it down because that loudness was the symbol of Alien. When somebody was wearing Alien...you knew it!
I'm glad you finally can appreciate Alien without your trauma resurfacing but I really hope they won't take its warmth away anymore. I can appreciate all of the formulations as it is without asking myself 'Is this the same Alien?' But, I'm afraid one day they will change it so much that it would simply become a different perfume. I don't care about it being subtle or loud, all I care about is actually that beautiful drydown. Just a little bit less amber or cashmeran and that sweet journey may fade away. Though, I think I'd always find a way to love Alien as long as it's produced. I don't think people who care about the bomb part aren't even interested in the journey and depth of the perfume. I'm glad that we can have more Aliens in this ship through the reformulation.
Love the shirt love the pink love the purple love the shimmery yellow on your eyes. Yes Dacob you need to let go of bitterness .. channel your energy into productive things. Some people are just malicious. Remember the Serenity prayer. But all said if you do not experience this what would life be.. may be that makes perfumes so much more dear to us.. these ingredients were part of something living once. I was pleasantly surprised by the current Alien formulation and no matter the negative reviews I got a 60ml refillable bottle and soon thereafter ordered a refill because I liked it. Its good. Still good. White florals have something indescribable to them whether it be tuberose jasmine narcissus. You would think from the bottle its purple flowers but no. I do not know whether we will ever go back to that era when perfumes were all about being intense.. perfumers had the largesse to do what they liked and not answer to a board about making profit but perfumes ro showcase their artistic side now its just artisanal side. The horrendous obnoxious pricing poor quality is rampant. BUT today I have amongst others Mugler ALIEN and I am happy to have it and wear it. XOXO

Lol I have many bottles and flankers of this. It rivals my no 5 collection. Alien is soooooooo sexyyyyyy in the air. Everyone stops what they’re doing to ask what I’m wearing. I own maybe one bottle of the current formula and it’s still pretty good also. It has this entirely different vibe on a man also. Tulipe Noir by Atkinsons is similar with an ambergris spin. Aura is probably the only fragrance from Mugler I dislike on my self. Smells like magic on my mom though.
The tiny spray bottle? Omg I LOVE that bottle. Total dark crystal vibes and I so wish Netflix would renew the show for a second season. I thought season one was so magical and wonderfully done. 🥰

Alien is one of my all time fav (together with Kenzo Jungle L'elephant). The present formulation is pale comparing to the one before L'Oreal but still...It is one of the most beautiful fragrances ever created. I don t know why they turned it down because that loudness was the symbol of Alien. When somebody was wearing Alien...you knew it!
I quite love the more delicate formula of Alien. 🥰💜👾

I'm glad you finally can appreciate Alien without your trauma resurfacing but I really hope they won't take its warmth away anymore. I can appreciate all of the formulations as it is without asking myself 'Is this the same Alien?' But, I'm afraid one day they will change it so much that it would simply become a different perfume. I don't care about it being subtle or loud, all I care about is actually that beautiful drydown. Just a little bit less amber or cashmeran and that sweet journey may fade away. Though, I think I'd always find a way to love Alien as long as it's produced. I don't think people who care about the bomb part aren't even interested in the journey and depth of the perfume. I'm glad that we can have more Aliens in this ship through the reformulation.

Love the shirt love the pink love the purple love the shimmery yellow on your eyes. Yes Dacob you need to let go of bitterness .. channel your energy into productive things. Some people are just malicious. Remember the Serenity prayer.
But all said if you do not experience this what would life be.. may be that makes perfumes so much more dear to us.. these ingredients were part of something living once.
I was pleasantly surprised by the current Alien formulation and no matter the negative reviews I got a 60ml refillable bottle and soon thereafter ordered a refill because I liked it. Its good. Still good. White florals have something indescribable to them whether it be tuberose jasmine narcissus. You would think from the bottle its purple flowers but no.
I do not know whether we will ever go back to that era when perfumes were all about being intense.. perfumers had the largesse to do what they liked and not answer to a board about making profit but perfumes ro showcase their artistic side now its just artisanal side. The horrendous obnoxious pricing poor quality is rampant.
BUT today I have amongst others Mugler ALIEN and I am happy to have it and wear it. XOXO

Lol I have many bottles and flankers of this. It rivals my no 5 collection. Alien is soooooooo sexyyyyyy in the air. Everyone stops what they’re doing to ask what I’m wearing. I own maybe one bottle of the current formula and it’s still pretty good also.
It has this entirely different vibe on a man also. Tulipe Noir by Atkinsons is similar with an ambergris spin.
Aura is probably the only fragrance from Mugler I dislike on my self. Smells like magic on my mom though.
Yeah Aura is polarizing. It can go very rhubarb-y apple on some and more abstract on others. I like when it goes more abstract.
