For the last 6 months I thought my SD800 motherboard was faulty. The door would open just fine - every time, but sometimes it would take multiple (10-50) presses of the close button before it would it close normally. When the door didn't close, the unit would make a single 'click' noise and do nothing. The symptoms were not described in the manual or any where else on the internet before your video. I tried these exact steps and it fixed the issue instantly. I suspect the unit wasn't calibrated as well as it could when installed by the contractor during the build of our house (volume-builder) or after 4 years of use, the limits may have shifted enough to stop it closing effectively. The issue was progressively worse over 6 months and I was just about to buy another unit. Saved me hundreds of dollars getting someone out and/or straight up replacing the unit! Thank you!
Any ideas on an SD800 that suddenly isn't detecting any remote signals at all? I've re-done the open/close limits, wiped all remotes, but none of the remotes or the wall button are being detected when trying to add them.
Hey mate, I’m trying to reprogram one of my remote buttons to a different button. However I am unable to initiate the remote programming stage by pressing ‘P’ together with ‘+’ (Not getting that all sequence flash response) any advice if there is a different procedure? Thanks in advance Cheers
Unfortunately, there’s only one procedure. You could try and erase the memory first but I think that needs the same buttons pressed to initiate it as well. [66] Steel-Line SD800 how to erase your remotes and secure your garage th-cam.com/video/-9qnCx0Z6Vw/w-d-xo.html Could be an issue with the circuit board, in that case the only fix could suggest is to install an external aftermarket receiver.
Sure can there’s some good wifi modules from Ali Express I use on my gate and door for under $50 or there’s lots of wifi door and gate openers you can Google which is a bit more expensive upto like $150-$200 which don’t do much more

What about if the minus button does nothing when you press it, i am not sure if maybe my minus button is faulty?
Possibly. I think you can use the plus and minus buttons to open and close the door. Try open it with plus and close it with minus to test it.

I've tried to do this but mine just does two click sounds 2 seconds apart, sounds like it's trying to operate but won't. Could the motor be stuffed?
If the limit setting doesn’t work and you still hear a click (this is the relay working) yes the motor most likely needs replacing I’m afraid
