Well to clear your reputation I think it's referring to your Infamy score which you can see in your stats if you were curious. I know of one way to clear it, a pilgrimage to one of every Divine way shrine that you see around the map. The easiest way to do it is to start the Knights of the Nine Questline, because it gives you a map detailing the locations as part of its questline. Basically you'll be walking about trying to find the general vicinity of said shrines based on the semi reliable map. It's gonna suck so I would recommend you complete the Thieve's Guild first or it will make you do it again later when you want to do the actual DLC because of the Infamy you'll accrue. Also on the subject of the Dark a Brotherhood. You didn't kill all of it, just one Sanctuary. The idea is there are dozens spread across Tamriel, and a few of them are mentioned in Skyrim. Well that's my piece said, also want to say I love your vids LaFave Bros. You brighten my week each time a I see an upload, and I wanna thank you for that. And always remember to stay off the roads, it's the Daedra you see.
Yeah if we pursue the Dark Brotherhood any more at this point we will never get to the other questlines we want to do though. We saw through the main story arch of that questline, so it seems like a good place to change it up. Also thanks for the advice and the support, hope the rest of your week is good as well.
LaFave Bros Oh I didn't mean you would go after them in this game anymore. There's no more Dark Brotherhood stuff. I just meant it seemed like you thought that they were only in that one Sanctuary so you killed them all.
Also if you guys are planning on doing the thieves guild, I would do that before you do the pilgrimage to clear the even more infamy you'll get through doing that questline. Then you guys can have a fresh start to do the mages and fighters guild.
It’s so funny how right since the start Emmett had the plan of gaining an army of followers just because it was gonna be fun despite them all dying. Man it was so worth it. People always talk about the NPCs in this game but this play through really highlights them
5:36 I was literally thinking the same exact thing watching that before you said it. Two supposedly powerful beings just standing there getting killed by the bad guy. Instantly reminded me of Palpatine killing those two jedi.
I love how they started this character by going on a murder spree in the Imperial City, go to prison for 2 years and then wonder why no one wants to associate with them. The let's play is brilliant!
Is it your bounty or your infamy that's preventing you from joining the Fighters Guild? Since there is no way to tell immediately, I would get rid of your bounty first, and then check again to see if they still reject you. One quick way that your bounty can be solved is by joining the Thieves Guild and talking to a Doyen, such as Armand Christophe. The other option is to just go to jail and serve your sentence (or pay your fine, assuming you can afford it). Spending time in jail will damage your skills, so keep that in mind. If it's your infamy that is too high, however, (which can happen when you perform quests for the Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves Guild, as well as, I dunno, murdering half of the population), then you will need to increase your fame level so that it is higher than your infamy. You can increase your fame by closing Oblivion Gates, acquiring Daedric artifacts, completing Mages Guild quests, completing side quests and completing Main Quest quests. There is also the option of erasing your infamy completely by going on a pilgrimage for the Knights of the Nine DLC. Hope this helps! :P
It's wonderful to see that you guys stayed committed to this. I haven't watched all of them but the first few installments, especially your commentary on the voice acting was funny as hell.
You boys need to buy a home! Mac needs his own love shack. Go to Vinicia Melissaeia in the Market District of the Imperial City. She'll sell you a home for 2000 coins. Once you purchase it and inspect it at the waterfront (by entering the home), head over to Three Brothers Trade Goods to buy some furniture for your home. Anything stored or dropped in your home will never disappear, so, you'll have a safe spot to rest and other stuff.
Just got back from one of the roughest days of work I've had yet, and by God, am I ecstatic to see this. Thank you, guys, for these videos! They help take the edge off my particularly difficult Tuesdays.
If you want to join the fighters guild your game has to be higher than your infamy. To view your fame and infamy it is in the skills section. To improve your fame you have to basically do good quests, not get caught breaking the law, and just keep doing this. Hope this helps and I love the videos, keep them up!!
It's so nice to be able to be apart of these guys brotherly lets plays. my brother and I used to play ps1 together but he quickly grew out of it and here i am standing here next to yoUUU! haha keep it up legends!!
Ya know, the other day I was rewatching this series and completely lost my shit over Bergamot and you do it again. Thank you for making me choke on my drink, much love from me.
Man I just love pouring myself a beer watching these let's plays until I'm so drunk I can't understand what is going on anymore. You guys are so chill and naturally funny and witty. Keep it up! How about a Skyrim let's play after this? ;)
It is common practice in Cyrodiil to kill one's horse at nightfall, slice open the belly, and shove whatever items are least desirable inside as if they were Leonardo DiCaprio trying to win an Oscar. At dawn the horse will have revived as usual and can then be used for further transportation until the cycle begins anew.
I got in too late to recommend picking flowers around the Skingrad area. I always roll characters with an interest in alchemy since it gives me an excuse to go wander the forests for ingredients, skingrad tends to have a lot of flower pockets with good variety.
You have to high infamy so you have to increase your fame stat to join the fighters guild. You can do that by helping people/doing side quests. You might be able to lower the infamy by doing the pilgrimage, but I am not sure.
Can't.... can't wait.... notification recieved... must see... the damn... LaFave video In other news I think you must perform the pilgrimage to get rid of infamy and thus enter the fighters guild. Also, someone more gifted than me absolutely must make fanart of Mac picking flowers while getting ripped by bear and stuffing things into shadowmere
You should do the Knights of the Nine faction quests first to clear your reputation. They're the best part of the game next to Shivering Isles. Plus then you'll get knight followers.
It's been a long time, but I think they won't let you in the Fighters Guild if you have either a bounty or really high infamy. The bounty would be easy to deal with. As for the infamy, the only way I can think of to wipe it is to do one of the first stages in Knights of the Nine (where you have to run around to all the shrines). The downside is that if Mac gets more infamy after the shrines but before you keep going in Knights of the Nine, then you'll have to run to all the shrines again.
If I rememeber correctly, the guy that gives you the initiation quest for the thieves guild in the imperial city harbor can improve your reputation for money
Fun fact : After completing all of the Dark Brotherhood quests, any guards that are pursuing the Hero upon interacting with the statue will wait until the Night Mother stops speaking.
If you're going to join the Mage's Guild, visit the Praxographical Center in the Arcane University. It's the first door on the left through the gates. There, you can make a more effective healing spell than Heal Minor Wounds.
You gain reputation points for each Oblivion gate you close, and since there are a lot in the world for you guys, you can gain fame for closing them. Even if it's tedious. :D Arena quests give fame, but I'm not sure if there are any more after becoming the Grand Champion. Mages Guild quests also give fame. ccc:
There aren't many comments here about the reputation thing. If I remember correctly, doing side quests - that aren't related to any guilds - should increase you're 'fame' which I believe you can see from the menu. Just doing side quests should up your reputation
Cant. Move. Body. Frozen... must have been those damn LaFave Bros ♡
Ah a throwback reference to Jeoffry shoving the Amulet of Kings up his ass... for safe keeping. One of my favorite jokes in the series.
You remember!
He defend, he attac, but most importantly; He Mac.
Damn guys. This series has been going for half a year at this point. Time flies when you're healing minor wounds, Huh?
Propastypete it's crazy when you put it like that..I've watched from episode 1 and can't believe that much time has passed.
HLMNRWOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUNNDS!
Its been four years now. Fucking insane.
@@CommieApe What's more insane is that I'm in the process of rewatching this playthrough for about the 6th time. It hits different.
@@propastypete1958 Greatest play through of all time. I love it so much
"How'd I get a bad reputation?"

HMM BEATS ME
If someone doesn't draw Mac stuffing things into dead Shadowmere by next episode, I'm going to be very surprised.
Same with macxnight mother shipping
Haha the Jauffre impressions never get old for me
I love how they just let the Adoring Fan in. He's like a really curious tourist, who's looking for help :)

This was too funny
The way you said Bergamot was very Wes Johnson. I could just imagine him picking up flowers and shouting out the names like that.

6:05 low-key the best commentary on Oblivion. The AI was intentionally designed by the lead autist himself, Todd Howard.

Someone needs to make art of Mac rubbing that rotting head on Mathieu's face. *"WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO; GIVE IT A KISS!"*

stumbled upon your FamoFamous Oblivion vid 😂😂 wish you did more now
20:26 i was waiting for this, thanks.
Glad to see this channel growing :)
Love you guys, keep up the good content.
I think you should do Knights of the Nine now, I think it resets your infamy so you can be a good guy again. Plus it's freaking awesome.
They could do the thieves guild before that though.
Who can blame The Night Mother for wanting to be intimate with Mac? He has the face only a MOTHER would adore.. (-;

Y'know. Mac actually reminds me of that Alexander the Great mural. A relation perhaps?
He does have a noble Grecian bearing about him
Picking flowers is the most intense and excruciating part of Oblivion. Combat doesn't even come close.
Nice telnyashka!! It fits the Stalin references.

to another great 6 months lads! "raises vial of skooma"

Ah, master Arquen. I take it the night mother has been consulted then. I must say you're here sooner than expected...
Never seen flower picking that intense
By the nine! The highlight of the week!
yep! right on time!
I've become addicted to Yellow Tail Shiraz. Need... more... red.. wine...
Just a thought.
So if that elf at the start of the shivering isles was Dark Hundolin, would that make the Adoring Fan Light Hundolin?
