- In this exit sign and emergency light video, I talk about one of the best emergency lights Lithonia Lighting has ever produced. But I also show a very cheap edge lit exit sign made by Astralite. And there are some other units too! Thanks for watching this video!

Nice
I have an ELMLT in my garage, the light distribution is amazing. Just one of these can light up the entire place. Great setup! Loved this video
Nice setup
The first one you showed is really fancy, I like it
This is why I love TH-cam. This video just popped up in my feed and I never even thought there was a channel like this, but now I do, and now I’m subscribed!
Great video!
Thank you so much! TH-cam is definitely an awesome place for all kinds of content and creators. I’ve been making videos like this for over 10 years! Thanks for subscribing!
Nice video the elmlt is the best
Ah, my favorite emergency light! ELMLTs are awesome! nice video
Very nice setup. I am not a fan of generic emergency lights but the form factor of the APEL mini i find really impressive and looks really good. Light output is impressive for generic, too.
Thanks! And agreed. It’s not bad for a little cheap emergency light.
3:55 That is cool! I found one of those in the restore! I have a chrome version without the reflective wrap on the back.
Nice Edge lit exit sign
Nice quality video! The main difference between the ELMLT and the ELM6 LED was the test button colors.
The ELMLT has a primary green led test button that can change color to yellow or red (as you mentioned)
However, The ELM6 LED only used a red LED test button like its predecessor…
Thanks you! Yep the ELM6 LED did not offer self diagnostics, so the test button indicator was only red. However the ELMLT had self diagnostics as an option. I am curious if the standard test version of the ELMLT had a red test button indicator like other non self diagnostic Lithonia products.
Cool setup! It's too bad that a very good emergency light got discontinued, but it's still cool to see what future products Lithonia is making. You should do a setup where you feature the oldest exit signs and emergency lights in your collection.
Thank you! Yep, I wish Lithonia still made the ELMLT. I guess they didn’t realize just how high quality it was. Maybe the new ELM6L is as good? And that’s a great suggestion! I’ve planned for some time to make a setup like that. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Sadly, I’ve never seen that LED lithonia in service anywhere, let alone for sale.
Should do a canadian setup
That would be fun! If I can get some Canadian units I will do it.
can you do a new york setup if you can
this would be cool
This is a setup I’ve wanted to do for a few years now! Once I get some NYC units I will do it!
I have a question about the dual lite ez snap battery pack what type of battery does it take?
@thejakeman789 I think these are rare too
can you do generics for he next exit and emergency
I plan on having an episode with a variety of generic units. Stay tuned!
Idk if this is true but i think the Lithonia EU2L had a bit of an inspiration from the APEL given the have a somewhat similar body design and emergency head design, and props to Lithonia for rivaling Dual Lite with the LT, and given the way the head design is with spreading light I think follows the design of the ELM2L which also spreads the light everywhere sucks that they pulled the plug on the thing pretty quickly
The EU2L is just a generic emergency light Lithonia rebrands. And I’m not certain, but I’m pretty sure the same generic company that makes the APEL (Changrong) also makes the EU2L style emergency lights. And yeah, it’s too bad the ELMLT was discontinued so quickly. It’s one of the best emergency lights ever made.
the mirrored back was poorly added on not somothly
Nice
