JB is a long time star and he isnt going to choose his dumb buddy over his career he’s worked his whole life for.. especially when you take into account what was said.
Yeah can see j b leaning in waiting for him to say it .. he knew
Honestly I am not sure, Jack's composure changed for the rest of the segment after he understood the wish. But he still should have been active, instead he let it happen and didn't address it further. Wrong signal.
@@Chraan They were in the middle of a concert. Better to just deal with it after the show than make a scene in the middle of the show. Black did the right thing imo.. Just go on with the show - talk to Gass after. And he did pause for a brief moment after Gass made the comment. Very likely in his head thinking, "Ah shit... here we go.."
Why do people apologize when they knew fully well in that moment they actually know what they were doing and they believed every word of it! But when they get alot of hate they give us apologies for survival, but not because they actually care.
Well FAFO Bud lighted !
Its a bad joke at worst. When did people get so butt hurt by eveeything
Says the people who get people fired over being “misgendered” 😂
Who's the Snowflakes now?
what was the joke??
Someone who make a living on stage shouldn't advocate for 'that' to happen someone else on stage or anywhere.
IT was not a joke, it was a WISH.
so it really doesn't matter how many thumbs up you get because your statement is factually incorrect.
LMFAO what was that again, people who said "ah their audience isn't made up of Trumpers anyway." I guess there's more of us than you thought..
A lot more.
This is what I don’t understand. These idiots surely understand that almost (probably more) half of the country voted for him. That is 50% of potential fans.
@@ThatGuy-sw2xe They unironically think Russia "hacked" the elections to help Trump win. These people are lunatics.
Why would you support somebody who wants to defend business interest at the expense of the welfare of people?
You talking about biden and them Uber booster health shots?
First off, Jack totally agreed with what Kyle said. They cancelled the tour likely because every venue they were supposed to go to barred them or dropped them. It wasn't out of a moral obligation. It wasn't a joke. People are like, 'what do you mean Jack shouldn't have thrown Kyle under the bus? Shouldn't Kyle have been considerate of his bandmate's careers?' They felt safe saying that because it had been okay for their side to say stuff like that for YEARS (until now). The rules suddenly changed, they didn't read the room, and now they're paying for it.
This just feels very Pantera-y if you will. Something is said that involved another person, person gets targeted. Band tension heightens.
Lets just hope some crazy bastard doesn't do what happened to Dimebag
@@thelostpsychosis The guys in this band are OK with it. They probably think Darrell was funny.
And this is why Kyle should know better.
one key difference_
Pantera was good.
Orrrr we could not take Kyle's comment so serious. Was it tasteless? Sure! Worth stopping the tour and the entire band over? Absolutely not.

Different political climate these days.....the public isnt nearly as forgiving as they used to be regarding celebrity bs.
unless its trump, in which case his supporters explicitly support his ability to break laws and say whatever he wants, hell some even said they would support him if he was to be convicted of rape.
I wonder how loud they would get booed in the US
From what I heard, the venues that the tour was supposed to be going to got so many calls they canceled on the band, not vise versa... Jack Black is trying to save face... Jack Black & Kyle Gass aka Tenacious D were not welcome at any of the venues...
This is called a reality check.
whether he is truly sorry or not, the fact is he just shown his true colors. as much as i liked tenacious D, i think its time for permanent retirement. his apology is a "im sorry because i got in trouble." type of apology. shame....
I'm confused, so we're supposed to start disliking movies and or music because we disagree with the celebrities political views?
That makes no sense, enjoy what you enjoy. Don't let somebody's political views dictate what you enjoy. Use your own brain and enjoy the things that you enjoy.
Unfollowed TD and is permanently cancelled on my end. Highly disappointed in them. I do not believe they are sorry one bit.
Ok goofball
A silly move on the bands part but you lot out there are wild. Theyre a comedy band, being asked by a robot ,onstage, what his birthday wish is FFS. Also, nut jobs in here saying that music/entertainment shouldnt be political..... punk is a thing for that reason. Who they hurting, trump? The man wouldnt care if they made the joke
Cancel culture is ridiculous, people can't even joke anymore
I don't think you can hold Jack Black responsible for his buddy's comments, everyone should be responsible for their own actions. That being said, when you reveal your political leanings you run the risk of alienating half of your potential fans. In addition,if someone you're close to makes an inappropriate political statement like this, you can very easily be dragged into it...which is what happened. It's pretty obvious Jack Black immediately realized what this could mean to his career and attempted to distance himself.
Cancelled the tour? Courageous, intelligent musicians cancelled?
Jack black didnt cancel the tour. The Australian government cancelled the tour. And is calling for them to be deported
I don't understand. Why does Australia care about American politics?
Nobody called for the band to be cancelled… they cancelled themselves on their accord
All the venues canceled them. Their talent agents dropped them also. Get with the program
Humour is humour, what a pussyfied world we live in
Would you say that about trans jokes? Or is that where you draw the line but not when someone makes fun of someone almost being killed and another person literally dying right in front of their family. Sorry but there does come a point where it’s absolutely inappropriate. Especially if death is involved. However they are free to say whatever they want. Just don’t expect any support after that

I bet even Trump laughed lol
I bet even Trump laughed lol
Black doesn't deserve any credit whatsoever; he's just trying to cover himself. His politics are well known. He smiled and laughed after the comment was made, and then he praised Kyle Gas.
the tour promoter cancelled them not jack black and they did it mainly because ticket sales were so disappointing, venues that cost a fortune to hire were not economically viable unless sold out, Who wants to pay $150 to see two 80 year old gay lovers on stage singing a load of duff songs 40 years old anyway,

What happened to freedom of speech? He’s allowed to say whatever he wants, and you’re allowed to be offended by it.
Apparently, Black was offended enough to kick Gass to the curb...Gass said it, he owns it...freedom of speech has reprecussions sometimes...
@@paolo-n2000 I just feel like the repercussions this time are disproportionate. If we cancel everyone who made a ”joke” in poor taste, Trump would’ve been cancelled a long time ago. He’s offensive, and he’s allowed to be.
Well, as the left always puts it when conservatives complain about the left leaning social media sites, "freedom of speech only protects against the government".
In this case, the insurers cut the tours insurance and venues wouldn't take them after that. As someone else put it, TD will probably never be able to perform in a venue again. Insurers won't insure them
