Nice bits of kit. Dead easy to install with the indoor unit. Getting the correct clearances around the outdoor units can be a bit of a fiddle with the safety zones and that. Outdoor unit is an absolute tank to lift too 💪😄
I prefer them floor mounted just for the fact that they are crazy heavy and difficult to manoeuvre! But this is what was on site so it was what it was.
Great work. I still feel the 200A is the king regarding the controls. your next project give us a call, we can supply some good products. best regards Dave
@@griffithsheating so what’s the difference between the 150 and the 200? Viessmann just sent me a chart where they look the same, with the exception that the 200 will also run the radiators and underfloor heating in summer in cooling mode.
@@Joe-s2y4m 200 is an older model with a different controls and a higher gwp refrigerant so positioning the unit is a bit more flexible. 150 series is much easier to set up and use but there are some awkward safety zones to work with when positioning the unit. It can’t be near drains, doors or openable windows etc.
Great videos, thanks for sharing. I had a Viessmann Vitocal 151-A 10kWh heatpump installed a couple of months ago by a Viessmann-trained installer. However, only some of the internal pipework was insulated, most is exposed. I have noticed from this video and some others that all of your internal pipework is insulated. Was this an oversight by my installer and should I insulate the remainder myself? I can share a photo if that helps. Thanks.
It really depends where the pipework is and how much is unlagged. If there's 20m of unlagged pipe passing through an attic then that's a problem. A few meters of pipe passing through your kitchen...not really a problem as the heat is going somewhere useful.
There was a 3 phase supply at the property which helps massively. The heatpump side of the installation had its own 10 way consumer unit. Each heatpump needs 5 RCDs. 3 for each leg of the electrical back up element. 1 for the outdoor unit and 1 for the indoor unit.
Hi, Its a great job! I would like to ask, Do you know difference between Vitocal 150a and 250a? I was planning to install Vitocal 250a but installer mentioned that they have only 150a. I could not find main difference. Thanks in advance!
Hmm, sorry i did not mentioned that i am typing from Germany :) As i understood from datasheets, A150 is price/performance variant of 250A. 250a has a better coefficient value and more slient(66db vs 64db)
It depends. If Viessmann are doing our MCS for us to get the £5k grant they will do the commissioning (we pay a fee for the service). If there is no MCS required we set it all up. We commissioned this one ourselves.
It's complicated. We didn't specify them. We were parachuted in to make the best of a bad situation as the owner had been taken for a bit of a ride by the original installers
Awesome looking job. The thought of how much all the Viessmann plant cost is making my eyes water a bit 😮
Great work and awesome plant room. We've been up in Telford doing the training on these. Hopefully we can get some in soon.

@@griffithsheating Glad someone thinks it's easy. I might have to pick your brains when the time comes 🤣👍
Great work. Is there are benefit in having the heat pumps bolted on the walls rather than sitting on the ground? What about noise, vibration etc?

Yeah the 200 is a more developed product for sure but the 150 will get there eventually. I'll look you up mate👍

Interesting job. What did you do with the electrical side of the job as the load with 2 of them running could be pretty big?

Not sure if the 250 is on sale in the UK yet. Viessmann are pretty bad at keeping installers informed what's going on with their product line up.

Why use 16kwh units when vismann offers a 32-46 kWh unit for larger projects
