It’s an honor that we can all watch this video and receive the knowledge she is trying to pass on. A true honor

It is great to hear an elder passing on this important tradition of Labrador Tea. It is sad that there are so many good things in our northern forest that modern people don't know about. Next time, stop and pick a few leaves (notice I said FEW) and try it. It is fantastic.

I really really enjoy listening and learning from your videos. I am always interested in knowing about the Canada's heritage and the ways of the people that knew this land the best... The First Nations. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and stories elder Bertha:)

Thank you very much for sharing. Yes, I believe what you say. First Nations elders know lots about natural living. We drink Labrador tea all the time now. Natural is best.

I was taught that you only pick bog tea once the ground has frozen or at the earliest after the killing frost of the season. The taste is very different. If this works for diabetes it is news to me but it is good to drink anyway.

Google Labrador Tea. It’s absolutely everywhere in Canada and especially in muskeggy areas and areas that are always moist. You will also find sphagnum almost always in the vicinity of Labrador Tea!
