Yeah, I don't feel it as well. Maybe if it was one sided, instead of double axe? It looks waaaay too bulky. With original Lewa you could see him using his axe as hook to hang off the branches. Here it's just too big and in weird shape. It should've been more simple.
@@nihili4196 I agree, and what you said about how bulky it is seems to contribute to how heavy and unwieldy it is for this model, which is unfortunately probably the biggest downside to it. It looks great, and I especially love the way the mask looks, but the axe just feels a bit off
I think the weaknesses of this build speak for themselves. The arm buckles under the weight of the axe and pieces can't help but fly off when you use the gear function. I think the structural drawbacks are just too noticable.
Thank you once again for the review! Lewa was the first one I designed and went through a lot of phases. His axe arm was one of the most challenging parts of the build. I eventually chose for a look that, in my eyes, mostly resembles the original Toa Lewa's axe arm. I tried adding more gears or other ways of making the connection stronger, but it made it look uglier too. My own Lewa uses all new pieces, making him not fall apart at all and also strengthening the arm, but I'll see if I can make it a bit more stable without changing the looks. Thanks for the feedback and the praise!
interesting that they based it on his mata design. By far my favourite version, although I do miss his wings. Not used to his foot walking, only air flying.
All of the models that have been reviewed on this channel for the Toa revamps have been of their original forms so far, so that's not surprising. But I will agree, it feels a bit odd to have a toa of wind/air that lacks wings (even though none of his G1 versions had them, interestingly enough)
These are really cool, I’m considering making these myself, but probably with the regular 2001 or 2015 masks. I’d love it if you did a video of the six together at the end like with the Toa Hagah, or at least a comparison in the sixth review!
This is one of the mocs that sorta shows why the toa mata were the way they were. increased articulation and aesthetic are nice, but makes it very unstable and flimsy
really not a fan of these proportions, the waist looks incredibly goofy being so thin with such wide shoulders and the whole connection assembly at the hips and legs just looks awkward. the head looks smash down into the shoulders. the arms and legs look nice, i think they could be used on another moc. this Axe is an eye sore and not being able to use it properly from the weight and without parts falling off makes it pointless and just adds extra parts. this MOCist makes some good builds but this has too many aspects that make it undesirable
In my opinion he looks too top heavy. Chest should've been more slim, then waist wouldn't look as weird. And axe... Too bulky again. Waay too bulky. And why it's two sided? It may be only me problem, but original axe seemed like it could've been used as hook to hang onto branches and things, but this one just looks like is made for raw cutting power. Which isn't exactly very Lewa like. I get why it was fused with arm... But I don't think it was a good idea.
Not sure how I feel about the axe hand. Maybe if the axe head wasn't so large I could get behind it, but this is a fantastic Lewa otherwise.

He doesn't have wings.
The new review and nice revamp! Thank you always Duck, and Niels!
FANTASTIC!! Simply fantastic!
I really like the axe design, made me realize I should rebuild an axe of mine with some different blade parts I have around.

Pretty badass, was always my favorite.
I wish lego would make bionicle again.
We all do, but that's like wishing for Half Life 3.
i'd like to see a revamped lewa nuva
nice video!

Wow bionicle this is og og
Lewa looks high
I like it, but perhaps he could have held the axe in his hand, rather than having it actually be his hand?
Like everything but I'm not a big fan of the mask
lewa from axalara t9 does not have the fist type hands
hi fellow duk :)
just recently discovered the channel. i like the content. i don't like this MOC tho. too unstable for my taste. but just one guy's opinion.
imagine that was red
Bionicle Thats
Finnaly

For me torso and Axe arm looks too bulky.
😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂 Lewa got leprosy
What is with 3D modelers and making uglier versions of masks we already have?
strayed a tad too far from the source material, not to mention its as clunky as it looks
