    It's like a beefed up fender Stratocaster on steroids. I have one on the way. Can't wait to play it.

      @@mrchrisbeaver absolutely amazing sound I got a transparent green one. The only thing I didn't care for was no truss rod. Still very happy with it.

    Oh yeah I heard someone say that they got the poles raised and that help the sound quality a great deal.

      Boon Doggle they’re so inexpensive so You can buy both and make both bow You’d like them to be. Charvel makes one that’s white with a darker colored white guard, HH and a chrome Floyd/chrome hardware.

    That's two stunning guitars you've got there! That's a great idea of neck / pickguard combination! I've got myself both of them recently and they are great guitars for this price range. At the moment I'm enjoying the default looks but I might do something similar in the future. I've noticed that on the one with the maple fretboard, the neck is significantly fatter / thicker. It's still a fine fast neck but it's strange considering they are the same model. It reminds me the neck on an EVH Wolfgang Standard I have played, while the neck on the rosewood model feels similar to a Charvel neck. Have you noticed anything similar with yours? Thanks in advance!

    I got two of them the Quilted green model had too get the neck adjustment because of a slight bow on both, new strings they only put cheap strings on them. And I still think the frets need some work cause it sounds like some slight buzzing on the first to the fifth fret.

      I had dead frets on mine they need to make it easier way to adjust the trust rod it’s not not 1957

    what Floyd rose nut is on these guitars? R2 , R3, or R4. I'll be replacing the trem with either a Floyd rose pro, or non-fine tuner option in the future. Replacing the nut because the high and low E strings slip off the neck easily on my specific guitar. I'm looking for the same width nut with narrower string spacing.
    Thanks for responding !

      evolutionmb R3 on both. No issues with the high e falling off. Sorry for the late replies.

    How does the fretboard radius compare to lets say a Fender Strat. Is it rounded like a strat or flat like an ibanez?

    • @J1Z06
      @J1Z06  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's a compound radius 12-16 inch radius.

    I just got this guitar, I ended up buying the USA pickups to put in it because I read bad reviews on the stock pickups. However, the stock pickups sound incredible to me. Now I'm not sure I want to put the Dimarzio in there because I don't want to mess up how good it sounds. Have you tried the Super Distortion Dimarzio next to the SDX Jackson pickup? People have a way of saying, "Obviously the Dimarzio is better," because of the brand name, however, I don't want to pay to get it wired in if it's not really better. I fully expected these pickups to suck, I thought they'd be like the stock pickups Ibanez makes and that's the first thing to go. They sound really good to me.

    • @J1Z06
      @J1Z06  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      nagol5178 try a super distortion in the bridge... either SDS-1 singles or area 67/61 singles. Or, leave it if You're happy with it.

      nagol5178 I like the stock pickups. I simply like SD TB-14 DiMarzio are 67/61's along with YJM's

      Cats, Coffee & Guitars 😁. A good used one isn't too bad. $400-$450 USD? Thanks. They are pretty good guitars once they're set up, shimmed and such.

  • @rockstaradventures1
    @rockstaradventures1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    how was the nut height out of the box as this will effect action, also does it need neck shimming to get the action low enough since bridge is not a full floater in a cavity.?? Also how was the string alignment, high E to close to the edge?

    • @J1Z06
      @J1Z06  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hvymtlplayer1 the nut and the neck had to be shimmed to get the action right.

      No problem with the high e falling off the edge. R3 nut on both.
