As soon as I saw "Six Part Disharmony," I thought, "Oh, anything with six different things to do must be an Ucaimhu cryptic." I guessed correctly! For what it's worth, "Caimh" is the Irish/Gaelic/Old-timey (?) pronunciation of "Kev", and old W ("ald" in Old English) is literally double-u: U plus U. So "Kev in W ald" is pronounced "oo-Kev--oo". The man is an absolute genius, but I find his cryptics often too busy for me. I only just started, but I hope you have lots of room for note taking!
oooooooooh yes. I think I've done three or so of Ucaoimhu's puzzles on stream and they blow my mind each time. How on earth do you a) think of these ideas and then b) successfully construct them?! He's an absolute genius, and they're tricky to solve too. I'm looking forward to the next one, whenever it appears in my list...!
Good job getting through this one! The instructions broke my brain repeatedly.
Me too! I am just three squirrels in a trenchcoat, and the squirrels happen to be ok at solving cryptics, so I think I got away with it...
