  • Thanks for watching! Combining the powers of EI and Psychic frog give this deck some really powerful draws. Definitely a strategy I will continue to play with.

It’s cool to see these blends of the two decks come together. I’m currently trying out u/b splashing for three iterations and one pyroclasm in the board. Using one thundering and one steam vents.

Did you consider Xander’s Lounge instead of Undercity Sewers? I am sold on the surveil advantages but I still think that for grixis the mana base is kinda awkward, sometimes drawing one of the two islands with a fetch sets you back and forces you to choose what color to fetch. Losing one of the possible surveil but gaining in color fixing could be profitable in this kind of deck where you could function at two/three lands. Also we actually have 4 mono u lands in the mana base and fetching for black when you have frog in hand could mean that u cannot cast the iteration you draw next.

Hi thanks for the video! I also was thinking “what if I splash black for frog in ur murktide?”. One question: do you think is better to splash black (frog) starting from UR, or splash red (drc, expressive iteration) from UB? 🤔

@@davidefrasca8062 hi! Splashing DRC seems tricky considering it’s a 1 drop you often want to play right away. Frog being a 2 drop means we can preordain towards the black source giving us a lot more ways to cast it on time. Also importantly, I value the additional removal red has vs black. Push is good, but only having 4x is bad and if we became base black we would have trouble casting the red removal early

Is sink into stupor much better than otawara? 3 life can hurt really much especially in multiples.

Sink into stupor affect the spells, not only the permanents. You can gain tempo against a wrath/removal/counter.

How about some discard spells? Thoughtseize seems a good addition to the deck.
      Nethergoyf might be nice too

Can't answer, but I could highlight the differences here: PROS 1 mana less, pitch to FoN, can bounce spells. CONS It deals 3 dmg and could be discarded/countered. It all come down to numbers, and what you need from the card. Pitching and bouncing spells are big upside tho.

@@GiovanniSponzaJJ you're right, most important con is the discard, but grief scam is less frequent, due to be a B plan in necro, and not the only plan as previously in rakdos.
Also, pitching for FoN/subtlety in 2 colors murktide is a great pro, but almost no free spell in grixis.
Murktide is always great deck for buikding the cool 75

@@alessiotrisconi5843 exactly this! bouncing an escape Phlage, or The One Ring on the stack is a lot better than letting them get the ETB trigger. I also play 3 FON

Is there space for making this midrange instead like by incorporating nethergoyfs, fatal pushes thoughtseizes and bowmasters. And maybe just keeping blue for murk psychic frog iteration and possibly counterspell? Quite a different deck but maybe just grixis is better as midrange than tempo especially given the awkward manabase? Maybe even a couple tamiyos?
