Spot on!!! I went solo for my birthday in Jan 2023 I even experienced Racism from staff and other cruisers and being a solo black female British traveller that did not sit well with me so I complained, they then fixed up. Example I would order the same exact drink and someone non black and I Kidd you not their pina colada would be in the correct glass and fancy, while mines was in some random glass and just handed to me as if it was for free. I had the premium package so when I would ask for a drink they would look at me like I couldn’t afford it quick to ask for my msc card and soon as they saw it would say “ooooo premium. Everything you said about the music and food definitely spot on. I won’t be in a hurry to travel with them again. And I couldn’t believe i was clubbing with young teens “not great at all!!
Hi @Anths Mermaid! I am so sorry for your experience. I have heard stories of this type of treatment on their ships, but luckily we did not experience it. The food left a lot to be desired and those drinks, with the exception on the Sports Bar, as well. We agree that there are a lot of issues that this cruise line needs to address, especially if they are trying to capture the American cruising market. This issue issue is exactly why I clicked on this video. I just noticed in other videos in the background I never saw black people or black staff. This immediately had my antenna raised. Cruising has too much money involved to deal with crap. Definitely won’t go on this boat
Hi @msal3515! We found that most of the guests on our sailing were European. We were the minority indeed, but, full transparency, we were not treated any different by staff, they just need to step up on other things to be more inclusive in the diverse population that sails here in America. Ours was a 3 day sailing. Couldn't buy a drink package on the ship at all, some of the upcharge restaurants were closed, and the best food they had to eat was the breakfast.

I was considering MSA world America new ship next year when it comes out but I keep hearing a lot of bad things about MSC from the food, buying separate WiFi packages for phone and tablets, etc. still on the fence 🤷🏽♂️

We have to say that our time on the MSC Euribia out of Southampton, UK (check that vlog series out) was different from our Seascape cruise out of the US, (in a good way) in our opinion. I Creuset on MSC seaside back in 2018 and food is horrible. It kept tearing up me and my family’s stomach. I don’t know if they was cooking that food in castor oil or what. The Buffay had limited food. They serve hotdogs and hamburgers for breakfast and lunch and dinner.🤷🏾

I had hola tacos, this was the best of the up charge restaurants, and it didnt break the bank and those frozen margaritas were delicious and cheap too. The sports bar was nice and the bartender was great and hooked us up. But the service on the ship was hit and miss and the food was hit and miss. We got the umbrella on Ocean Cay but didnt know were to get one. The entertainment in the theater we walked out and spent our time in the Cabaret, and my son and i got called up to participate in the acts.

I went on the MSC Divina, it was pretty cool. Some funny and great shows, and the food was good. I did not get to go to any parties and stuff like that, but I will try them when I go on the Seascape this August.
I have cruised MSC twice and I almost booked one for next year but I watched some vlogs and read some reviews and it seems like they are just not learning their lesson. People have very similar complaints even when they have a good time, there are small changes that would amplify the experience and they just haven’t tried to d it. They also seem to be charging extra for more and more. That being said if it’s SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the other lines, I will do it again but at a similar price no way. Also I LOVED Shay’s imitation of the people defending that tasteless food lol. On our cruises the main dining room was at most a 3. The buffet food had very little flavor and no variety day to day. The music was a little better on our cruises. They had an 80’s night where they played almost all American hits and the nightclub actually was Top 40. Unfortunately MSC doesn’t restrict ages much in the nightclub so there was ALWAYS a bunch of 16 year olds in there and that dramatically changes the nightclub experience.

Yeah no thanks, after hearing how the food was I think I will stick to Royal Caribbean. I don’t like that the music wasn’t better. I kinda had a problem with Royal Caribbean, but MSC is ridiculous from what you all said. Also no umbrella, that is unacceptable. The mustard drill, no ma’am. I think I will stick to Royal. Haven’t tried Carnival yet! Great video!!!!!!!!
