    I love the video. Your video is the inly one I've seen with a bottom. Any tips on how to make it for a cup that the tip size increases?

      All in how you hold and pull. And the type of crochet hook used.

      I'm a twenty year old male who's been crocheting for a few years now. Id say as long as you're comfortable with the way your holding your hook it just comes down to practice, practice and more practice 😂 I would be waiting for my bus and simply start working on a beanie at the bus stop and on the bus. I'd get home and crochet for a couple maybe even a few hours. Now I can get a beanie done in about 4-6 hours depending on how simple of a design I decide to do!

      I would also recommend making little things like marshmallows or other amigurumi items to be able to practice without wasting a lot of yarn yet still getting a beautiful piece of art!

    You didn’t get it mixed up Crafters Secret is a Hobby Lobby yarn. Joann’s house brand is Big Twist. Great tutorial have never seen a mug cozy with a bottom before now I really like it now there is no need for a coaster.

    Thank you so much for this! Planning to make one for my partner’s mom, I’m sure she’ll love it! If I can ask, what size is the button you used? I’m planning to buy the same one you used it’s so cute!

    Hey girl love this I did it too however it turned out in mini size ? I followed everything you said ... was it suppose to be five additional rows after the two dc rows we did together?

    • @9amStudio
      @9amStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does do that sometimes, it depends on the type of yarn used and size hook. Try using a G hook or larger. The thickness of yarn will make a difference. Like Caron yarn seems too slim but red heart saver or Love or loop and thread always works for me.

    Ugh! My "coaster" base is curling up like a cup! What did I do wrong?!?! I'm super new at this and I am sooooo frustrated!

    • @9amStudio
      @9amStudio  หลายเดือนก่อน

      you must add two double crochet in each stitch on the second row. and if you are forming a bowl add 3 double crochet in some of the stitches, that should solve your issue.

    would be even better if there was any explanation to what was going on and a demonstration of a stitch before just jumping into doing it super fast.

      The slow-mo part @4:50 is helpful as a demonstration of how to do the double crochet stitch🤓
