I have known to crochet for maybe 12 years now! I'm still a beginner because I just choose one stitch for a project and go and make simple things like blankets, scarves, simple bags etc. This pattern kicked my butt and it took me all day but I finally got it!!! I love it! Perfect gift Pro tip: if you're over the age of about 25 be sure to get the crochet hooks with the silicone handle 😬
BEING FEELING SOME SICKNESS IN MY STOMACH, BUT AFTER WATCHING YOUR GORGEOUS VIDEO AND SEEING YOU SMILE, PUT A SMILE BACK INTO MY SPIRIT. I'M STILL SMILING 😊 THANK YOU!!!!

Beautiful stitch, wonderfully explained but the most valuable information I learned from this video was how to slow down a TH-cam video! Lol I have been pausing and replaying tutorials for years...today you changed my life.. Thank you for your videos. 💕
Learning to make the cable headbands made this pattern easy to pick up! Thanks so much for the clear video and instructions! Many gifts will be enjoyed! God Bless!
These look amazing! I made mine with finish 2 as I still tend to stitch too tightly (I started about a month ago) and have very little 'feel' with the best yarn for every project, either that or I'm doing something wrong with finish 1. I must say though that nothing so far has made me as glad that I've learned to crochet with my non-dominant hand as this pattern did. I thought it would be a good exercise for my brain but here it's a saviour that I don't need to switch between front and back posts, I just need to switch hands... thank you for this tutorial, I love it! Definitely going to try with thinner yarn just for fun.
Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial! These mug huggers are so pretty and I really wanted to use your pattern! But I needed wider ones for taller travel mugs I was gifting as part of a Road Trip set.. But you made the instructions so easy to follow, I was able to double the pattern for a wider cosy without much trouble! However, being wider - it meant I also needed TWO buttons. LOL! But again, was no biggie to work around that. Mine are not quite like yours in that I made the ends differently & made fancy loops that I sewed onto one end & then sewed buttons on. But because your instructions were so good, modifying wasn't really difficult. And, while I say they are not quite the same, I'm really happy with how they've turned out. But I couldn't have done it without such comprehensive instruction. Thank you again! They're really pretty! :)
It's ready, set, go! I love all your tutorials... and this Celtic Weave project is certainly a fun and stylist gift option for my coffee buddies. Thank you!!
i guess im asking randomly but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my login password. I love any tips you can offer me
Cute, stocking stuffer! And since I've never done cables, perfect practice! I'm in the process of crocheting your Aran Hearts Throw, starting border. Lots of frogging, due to my crocheting in wrong stitch, heart section. I'm persistent, mistakes = lessons learned. Thank you!!! Have a nice holiday season!!!
That was awesome. I followed along for three rows, then just wanted to watch. I have some gold-colored yarn and a few sized daisy buttons from an earlier project that I can use. I love how this pattern stitch looks with the gold yarn. You are quick, but I loved watching and learning. Thank you for this mug cozy!

@@BonnieBayCrochet but I don't know what size mug the people I'm giving it to have though? And yes I think making it smaller will help unless they shrink when washed?
@@alliemille and that really depends upon the type of yarn used. You can also add a couple of buttons instead of just one. If you make the button opening smaller, it would give the option of using 2 different sizes in one mug hug.
@@BonnieBayCrochet ok thank you I haven’t crochet long time finally coming back to it I love watching your videos I don’t know no one who can train me but your videos help
So sorry about that Patricia. You can always slow down the video if that would be helpful. On a computer click the gear icon in the lower right hand corner. You can then choose a slower playback speed.
@@BonnieBayCrochet Wish that would help but unfortunately it's all my vision and not your videos. It is much appreciated.

@@BonnieBayCrochet 😂😂 I was using the closest thing to a tweed I had on hand. 🤦♀️ it was a challenge but fun. Very cute - added to my list!
These are beautiful. I'm trying to stash bust for Christmas gifts would this work with DK yarn and if so what changes might I need to make? Many thanks!
You should be fine with the DK weight, but may need to make extra rows to get the length.
@@BonnieBayCrochet thank you!!
So other mug cozies that I've made tend to stretch and slide around the mug?? Should I do a few less chains or what am I doing wrong?
You can just work fewer rows. Depending on the yarn and your personal gauge, and cup size you may need to adjust.
@@BonnieBayCrochet but I don't know what size mug the people I'm giving it to have though? And yes I think making it smaller will help unless they shrink when washed?

Very cute!
If I wanted to make this pattern bigger is there a multiple of amount that needs to be chained
If you want it wider, add to the starting chain in multiples of 4.
Do the mug hugs help keep your liquid warm? Love the way they look.
Not necessarily Tina. These mostly help to hold a hot mug without getting burned by the cup.
Very nice❄
Bonnie, do you think you could do a tutorial making leg Warmers in the Celtic weave or possibly even the wheat stitch?💗💓💞💕
That’s a fun idea Susan! Will have to add that to the growing list!😊❤️
I love it!
Can you you use different yarn then one you show us
Please feel free to use any yarn you wish Nataile! Worsted weight will most likely work best.

👍
Doesn't really work with a bulky 5 😁😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Or a variegated yarn as it doesn't show off the beautiful weave! But it's great practice😉
