Panel Saw System

As an example of our customized turnkey automated systems, this fully automated panel saw system delivers value.
With sheet inventory stored in standard cantilever racking, the automated pick cart shifts between racks to pick the batch of panels in sequence (only two racks are shown in the video but the system is typically configured with several infeed material racks). The cart picks a sheet and places it on the system infeed conveyor.
The sheet is transferred into the saw area where it is squared and picked. Once the saw pick head has the sheet, it will control the sheet throughout the saw processes. This design enables the pick head to hold the sheet flat throughout the fabrication process so that even thin (typically non-flat) sheets can be processed in this automated system. The sheet is guided through the rip cut saw before it is held for the crosscut carriage to complete the required crosscuts (typically 1, 2, or 3 crosscuts are made).
Once the fabrication process is complete, the saw pick head releases the fabricated sheet and the stack pick head will pick-and-stack the sheet on the outfeed conveyor.
When complete, the system will transfer the stack to the downstream processes.
