I seen the Artic Monkeys play a small bar, and then again years later at T in the Park. They really are a great band, and before seeing them, I was a diehard punk rock fan and not much else.

The stuff he's saying about Oasis being part of that particular generation is so true. If they did get back together it would be nowhere near the standard of the band in the 90s and would potentially ruin the legacy. I would love to see Oasis live but i know exactly why they won't do it and it's out of self respect
That kind of statement doesn’t really fit Oasis very well. Oasis went on until 2009, when they were well past their prime and Liam’s voice was worse than it is even now. If Oasis reunited today, they would likely be better than they were in around 2007-2009. That statement is more fitting of a band like The La’s, who have an almost perfect and mystical legacy.
I think they don't want to bring some old memories and their youth back. They just want their solo bands and their own contracts. They know their own stories/relationships/finances better than any of us do. It's their personal choice. I wish the journalists and TV hosts would stop teasing them because they really do not want a reunion. If they did, they would've done that years ago.
I wish people would stop asking. It's never ever ever going to happen and that's a good thing. It had it's day in the sun and the music and memories live on and on and on.

Oasis has 2.7 million subscribers on youtube alone. Everyone has to pay only £ 37 and we have a deal! 'Cause when it comes on top You gotta make it happen You gotta make it happen You gotta make it happen
My 3 friends and I listen to oasis all the time back in 95 (lending my cassettes and cds) but by 2000s, only me. Even tho we don’t see each other together often (separately only) we still talk about definitely maybe & morning glory like no time has passed on our group chat. Chances of all 4 of us coming together would most likely be a funeral and I hope my funeral song would be live forever or champagne supernova!
There’s a sadness to this. Forget the band. For two brothers to have fallen out for ten years plus is really tragic, over a spat. It’s now pride and stubbornness. Life is too short.
If they did talk it would end in one or the other killing each other it's best for them to stay as far away from the other as possible the Toxicity there is to Great I know I have a younger brother exactly like Liam.
Noel makes a very sound point about modern society waiting for grown mature men to reform. There is now a dearth of talent in music. I think in the next 25 years, it'll sadly all fizzle out and we will still be turning to these guys for inspiration.
Boring, predictable, nonsense question about an Oasis reunion AGAIN from Jonathan Ross. Just let it drop mate, please. They spilt up 10 years ago, theres only so many times Noel can say he doesn't want a reunion with Liam ffs. I dont want an Oasis reunion. I want to preserve my memory of them as the greats they were.
Noel makes a good point about reuniting at this point when the band was about youth and camaraderie between them. Although it would be good (and plus I bet their mom would like!) to see them be civil and bros again.
Liam Howlett is a genius. His production techniques and set uo involved a lot more than a computer and bedroom. Just my opinion but alot of music does seem lazy and made without much time being o Put into it nowadays.
What would be great is for them to be on stage together, not a concert but just one of them popping by to sing a song, just one song , maybe just a chorus just to show that they will always love each other and that's it.
@@isaacmason_ well he did also say that he wanted to avoid the question. And he didn't really answer if he does miss Liam personally. Plus I don't have anything to gain from this. I am actually one of the few who actually wants to see them reunite just as family rather than a band.
What's more is that Noel has been considering selling the Oasis back catalogue to a private equity company in the same way Bruce Springsteen and Queen have done with theirs. Industry experts currently value its worth at between £150 -170m. A successful world tour would in their opinion probably add another £100m to that value.
Noel was hurt by dad Noel was hurt by brother Liam has to know that, this would take love, patience and like the previous comment said, I hope they can just be brothers again. Once it’s too late, it’s too late. Let there be love.
I'd love to see an Oasis reunion, but with it always getting dragged out, it seems like it's too far gone now, it'll just be forced if it happens and wont be natural to the brothers. I do hope they make up though, they made history together, but throwing away a brotherly relationship because of a band issue isn't right.
Absolutely agree mate. I'd love to see it as much as anyone but with how long it'd been I wonder too if it'd just be forced, and it probably will be. It's such a shame. As heartbreaking as it is, maybe now it's best to leave it and have everyone discussing for the end of time "What if?" rather than see it played out and it not be even close to what we were expecting.
I get his point about there's no new Oasis for the young generation, but this is simply, as he claimed, a deflection. Why should every generation has an Oasis? People are still listening to the Beatles from the 60s and Beethoven from the 18th century. Their music is a true legacy and I think somehow people should not expect great thing would always happen again now or in the future.
Noel's beginning to get chapped when asked about the reunion and rightly. When it stops being talked about is maybe when it happens and with that 100m quid.
Also because they only report part of his responses and make him seem like a jerk. Listen to the whole thing and you understand his intent. Praying they reunite as brothers ♡♡
To be honest, as a fan of Oasis at this point I don't even care that much about the band reuniting anymore. It's just really heartbreaking to see them continuing to not speak to each other for years. It's not even about the band anymore, it's about family. They're literally brothers, it's just a really painful and sad thing to watch
I still live in Hope that they will reunite for one last world tour together.... no matter how they sound; no matter what they sing... it would just be the most phenomenal thing to see them both back on stage.
You know what kids. I bloody loved going to see Oasis. Watched them all over loads of times. One weekend London next weekend Edinburgh absolutely fantastic. What great days they were. But don’t worry kids you may not have seen them or ever will but least you aren’t old.
You missed the point. He was not shading grime, he was speaking more broadly about the lack of charisma/attitude/ in today's music scene and that include bands as well as solo artists. PS: People still listen to 80s rap music, so I am sure there will be demand for Stormzy in the future, grandad!
I think that what most of us want is for Noel and Liam to meet each other halfway, and remember that they are brothers. I fell out with my sister for a few years. We were both wrong and eventually we sorted it out. I am the most self opinionated person on this planet, and my sister is a close second. If we can become friends again then these guys can for their mum.
There are some bloody great bands in the UK with young musicians making and performing extraordinarily difficult music. None of them are much like Oasis that I can think of, I'll grant that. IDLES is a great post-punk band with awesome anthemic songs and great, charismatic singing and playing. Black Midi is an elite trio of elite jazz musicians making really eclectic rock music. Black Country New Road is a largish folk-rock band that has near perfect output. The Comet is Coming and Sons of Kemet making staggering jazz epics. Arctic Monkeys aren't that new at this stage but still very active and very good. It's a great fucking scene man. I wish Noel wouldn't paint in such broad strokes.
you dont know anything about the two or the drama involved with them not talking so quit acting like noel is the big evil boogeyman here preventing oasis from getting back together
Imagine if Paul Weller had split the Jam in today’s climate.. Noel’s right, it’s pure nostalgia. The media are so hypocritical. The industry miss them, and how there’s no one to replace them because no one could be allowed to be Liam or Noel now, as every interview is media trained.
For the record, NOEL, it’s not just a generation of kids wanting you back together, there’s a generation of 50 year old fans out there and several generation in between. I couldn’t think of anything better than being able to go to a gig with my kids and genuinely know that we would all get a buzz from it.
it's crazy if they reunited now they'd be significantly bigger then when they broke up, there were so many haters at the time but their legacy has proven to be greater than any contemporary
Problem is if they did do it, it wouldn’t be the same, people will expect to hear the Oasis from the 90s and they’d get two fellas in their 50s. Just let them get on with it their own projects, and you never know, when people stop asking it might settle for them and they’ll reflect.
I really wanna see video of Noel and Liam renunion not as a band or music industry but as a loving brothers and family members like backin the days😔i just love both of them in every way hope they have a brighter future together some day❤
They must get back together again, do almost the exact same set list as Knebworth and film it, stream it live worldwide in theaters, release a documentary about the come back show. The most spectacular comeback concert in history that brings the world together.
Think Led Zepplein will always hold the crown for "most spectacular comeback in concert history". I want Liam and Noel to reunite but not to just do music stuff, I want them to be brothers again. If they don't sort out something soon they'll be reuniting at their mums funeral which won't be nice
Yeah, calm down, they're just not that big. They never really made it big anywhere besides England, with some success in Europe. But it would be a big deal to millions, and that's enough.
I think if oasis got back together it would be a shame, as it would never live upto expectations, ever. I'd rather see an interview with the two together.
Never burn a bridge that you once stood on proudly. But more importantly, life is short, love your brother. As intelligent as Noel seems, I feel he is making a big mistake by not ‘forgiving’ his brother. It takes a bigger man to forgive someone that did you wrong, than to hold a grudge.
@@jackcole1331 words are words. I’m not saying what he said (which I have no idea about) was okay. I’m just saying, if I never spoke to a family member who said terrible things about me, I’d probably not have any family left. But I chose to forgive things that are said out of blind anger.

1:28 it’s a shame for the young kids who even missed Arctic Monkeys bursting onto the scene with their first two albums, who had a bit of that, the only band to have any kind of cultural significance in britain since oasis came out in 94. If you were a teenager in 2005 for AM, it was absolutely huge
Arctic monkeys first two albums are great definetely the best they have made and we need something like that now
I seen the Artic Monkeys play a small bar, and then again years later at T in the Park. They really are a great band, and before seeing them, I was a diehard punk rock fan and not much else.
I was 18 in 2005 and I was like wow when the Monkies came onto the scene 😎
I would hope the only potential reunion would be Oasis getting in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Frankly I think it’s absurd they’re not already in.
@John Foxton Yeah and The Beatles aren't in yet, either.

Liam and Noel must be sick of answering questions about a reunion
Noel will probably will but Liam wants it
mate they love it, been doing media since day one, this must be their millionth interview ffs they are proper love islanders
We want to bully them into it Leighton....🥳
Keeps them in the spotlight. As long as they’ve got that, they’re in a position to keep making a living. If they were that sick of it, they’d have binned off interviews years ago
Leighton Baller, they just waiting til the hype is so much, THEN they will reform
I bet he’s tired of being asked that. Oasis was a period that made sense for them and for the million followers they had and still do have to sone extent. But people move on. I listen to oasis every now and then and that’s enough. What would happen if a reunion went terribly wrong? Then, people would say, oh it was shit and they don’t have the swag anymore. So, let it be.
Shut up
@@thepogcast733 you shut up.
Yeah I don’t think they should make new music I just wish they went on tour tho
@@Josh-rr7ze no, they shouldn’t! For their own sakes! Liam is not a very smart person! He lives stuck in the 90’s or whatever! He doesn’t really have a clue of what he’s talking about as far as a Oasis tour or reunion is concerned! It’s would make for great press and pay check but it would be lousy for the music. Unless they get on good terms. But, as Noel says, he doesn’t miss it. Somethings belong in the past. And they should stay there.
@@darioperes8923 well yes that is true but if both of them did agree to get back together and try it there would quickly find the passion for it I believe they are both good artists although Noel is much smarter and they know what good music is and isn’t so I can’t see them ever reuniting unless the vision was right and someday I think it will be
That’s the first time I’ve got the feeling Noel would actually do it one day.
I picked up on the fact he actually says Liam not just "the other fella"
They will meet up in the background and I dont blame them.
Whew, Jonathon finally got as tired of asking the question as Noel, is of being asked. Now, let's hope he dosen't go back on his word.
All we want is one Jonathan Ross show without him asking Noel about an Oasis Reunion
Agree, was cringeworthy to see him annoy Noel with these questions
But I do check ocassionaly just in case Noel changed his mind
That or anything related to Liam. Dude has never seen his bro again since the break up, why would they keep asking him about Liam?
Someone has to stay on his ass. I'm glad Jonathan is willing to do it.
Yes don't offend the fragile genius, after all he just lip synced his way through a song. Just tell him he's the best!
The stuff he's saying about Oasis being part of that particular generation is so true. If they did get back together it would be nowhere near the standard of the band in the 90s and would potentially ruin the legacy. I would love to see Oasis live but i know exactly why they won't do it and it's out of self respect
Just one show would be enough
Play to death like Rolling Stones and Iron Maiden i say
Well, what you have to say now???
@@peter3327 I reverse engineered it. Thank me

If it takes 100 million quid let's break the bank and get the Gallagher brothers back together
Okay I’ll send €20
Let's pay them £100m not to get back
Lets be real, no one would give him 100 million now, maybe 10 years ago

There’s a sadness to this. Forget the band. For two brothers to have fallen out for ten years plus is really tragic, over a spat. It’s now pride and stubbornness. Life is too short.
If they did talk it would end in one or the other killing each other it's best for them to stay as far away from the other as possible the Toxicity there is to Great I know I have a younger brother exactly like Liam.
noel disliked liam's wife is what i get from this interview.

Cheers. For me that was 96. Tops.
Noel makes a good point about reuniting at this point when the band was about youth and camaraderie between them. Although it would be good (and plus I bet their mom would like!) to see them be civil and bros again.
"Laptop and Bedroom" A Certain Liam Howlett became Heaven and Earth Making Music.

So lucky to have seen them in small places.
What would be great is for them to be on stage together, not a concert but just one of them popping by to sing a song, just one song , maybe just a chorus just to show that they will always love each other and that's it.

Liam has insulted his daughter and wife. Liam needs to seriously grow up
My one mission in life as a 42 old man is to see them do just one gig and I'll be forever happy 😊
Noel and Liam should have their own show, a remake of "the odd couple"
Now here we are - they're reforming and likely to break the £100m on the UK/IE stretch alone. Incredible stuff
What's more is that Noel has been considering selling the Oasis back catalogue to a private equity company in the same way Bruce Springsteen and Queen have done with theirs.
Industry experts currently value its worth at between £150 -170m. A successful world tour would in their opinion probably add another £100m to that value.
@justonecornetto80 Had no idea about that mate, wow. Guys fully deserve it, they worked for everything they got
Noel was hurt by dad
Noel was hurt by brother
Liam has to know that, this would take love, patience and like the previous comment said, I hope they can just be brothers again. Once it’s too late, it’s too late. Let there be love.
This is true Noel says about projecting... He's very intelligent. I'm lucky to have seen Oasis twice.. But I feel sorry for the kids who won't

Shut up you Fanny.
So sweet he said he talks to his mom every other day
I get his point about there's no new Oasis for the young generation, but this is simply, as he claimed, a deflection.
He should expect it Oasis put him on the map, he would not be as huge as he is music wise without it.
@@Danny_On_Wheels44 maybe but no one can answer that conclusively. Robbie williams was bigger on his own than ever with the other twats.
Hope theirs the reunion documentary as well
I still live in Hope that they will reunite for one last world tour together.... no matter how they sound; no matter what they sing... it would just be the most phenomenal thing to see them both back on stage.
Please, who were the other guests in this show?
The thing is, Noel is absolutely correct.
Gutted though, I'd love to see them back together.
You know what kids. I bloody loved going to see Oasis. Watched them all over loads of times. One weekend London next weekend Edinburgh absolutely fantastic. What great days they were. But don’t worry kids you may not have seen them or ever will but least you aren’t old.
Definitely right about todays youth. Noone will be talking about stormzy and who ever else there is in 30 years time
You missed the point. He was not shading grime, he was speaking more broadly about the lack of charisma/attitude/ in today's music scene and that include bands as well as solo artists. PS: People still listen to 80s rap music, so I am sure there will be demand for Stormzy in the future, grandad!
Who?
I think that what most of us want is for Noel and Liam to meet each other halfway, and remember that they are brothers.
I fell out with my sister for a few years. We were both wrong and eventually we sorted it out.
I am the most self opinionated person on this planet, and my sister is a close second. If we can become friends again then these guys can for their mum.
Such tedious questions on bringing oasis back, leave it in 90s where it was best. Every dog has its day. The music will live forever ✌️
Like that just happened 🎉
Noel is right, let it be, you don’t finger bang the ice sculpture. the legacy is there and it’s all that matters.
'There we were, now here we are!' Can't believe they're back!
Noel remains as smart as he is talented. I could watch him, listen to him forever. Easy on the eyes, as well!
2:46 - The fact of the matter is that Noel can't stop looking back in anger. I love the guy, but that's the truth.
Exactly he is bitter and can't let it go.
Hmm I’d say it’s highly likely he probably has genuine reasons, with how Liam probably is/was
you dont know anything about the two or the drama involved with them not talking so quit acting like noel is the big evil boogeyman here preventing oasis from getting back together
Those Wembley gigs would make Oasis £14m each and they've booked in 4, they will need to add other dates to keep up with demand
This aged well
There we were, now here we are. ❤
The Chief played the loooong game perfectly.
I love Noel but I really hate people who call him "The Chief".
honestly man it’s sad but just let it go and hope they can like each other again
Goal achieved:
Someone found the £100 million!
For the record, NOEL, it’s not just a generation of kids wanting you back together, there’s a generation of 50 year old fans out there and several generation in between. I couldn’t think of anything better than being able to go to a gig with my kids and genuinely know that we would all get a buzz from it.
Jonathan, please bond these two brothers, they don't know what that their fans are missing
The hope of a reunion is dwindling as the years roll on but never say never. Look at Pink Floyd Live 8 for instance. There's still hope.
it's crazy if they reunited now they'd be significantly bigger then when they broke up, there were so many haters at the time but their legacy has proven to be greater than any contemporary
Problem is if they did do it, it wouldn’t be the same, people will expect to hear the Oasis from the 90s and they’d get two fellas in their 50s. Just let them get on with it their own projects, and you never know, when people stop asking it might settle for them and they’ll reflect.
