- This wood furniture base is simple enough for anyone to try! After building the @diywife wood base just a few times, I got the hang of it enough to try it out with angles.

I'm so appreciative of your instructions. I've watched DIYWife and a few others explain this, but your explanations are by far the best I've encountered. I've saved several of your videos because you have a remarkable ability to make complex tasks feel accessible and achievable. Your clear and concise guidance truly makes me feel confident that I can do it too!
Wow, thank you! I’m so glad it helped!
The added trim was one of those times we call "happy mistakes". Because it added charecter to the piece. Nice job
I've been in construction for over 25 years, and I must say.... you did a fantastic job explaining this process! Also, great workmanship all around. Bravo!!
I built my first base today. I watched your video many times before trying. After a few rookie mistakes I finally got it!
Yay!! Thank you so much! I was hoping it wasn’t too all over the place since this is one of my first long tutorial videos 😂
You work so hard, and the finished result looks really smart. 👏
Something I just learned: buy a crosscut blade for the miter saw for cleaner cuts 👍🏽
The blade it comes with is an all purpose blade.
Love your channel!!
You are so much more down to earth than another "creator/teacher" that I use to enjoy following on here. (When im not flipping furniture myself, I'm on here watching others and their amazing work!)
Always remain true to yourself❤ Your work and personality are awesome.
Thank you so much!! Trying to get better at these long videos so I can keep making content ❤ on here
You actually did all the steps and it made sense to me. I've been anxious to make one
Really clever idea to add the trim to cover the damage. I'm sure that saved loads of time.
Stunning black 🎉
Good save with the added wood to cover the water damage. Looks great!
Thank you so much for this!! Definitely putting this on my list of things to try!
And I love that you don't make everything look easy, you show the mistakes as they happen, and keep marching forward when things go wrong 💛 so tired of unrealistic expectations!
I love this transformation! You did a great job!! ❤
Great job Abbey!!
I love this! I need boxes added to the tops of my upper cabinets...I neeeeed you!
You are my new favourite channel!!!!!
I love this, I have a dresser I want to turn into a console cabinet. I am going to use your leg base design and he door frame. Gorgeous!
Nice Job...!!!
Thanks!
Love the video!!
This is so well done!! The steps and material lists are super easy to follow. Im excited to try this down the road 💪 I’ve never used or even seen a kreg jig before - SO handy!
Great job. Your very resourceful. I am building my first base now for a buffet I'm keeping. Thank you for your video, very helpful!
To say that I watched this video like 10 times in Omaha is an understatement 😅
LOL omg
Beautiful job ❤
Gorgeous! I love it, great video too.
Go abby!
Great tutorial! I need to try the tapered legs!
Well Done!
I recently added the Kreg Jig 720 to our collection. It had been on my wish list for a long time. I’m loving it and this project is going to be next in my workshop queue. Thank you for the video.
I plan to upgrade to that one soon too! Thanks for watching 😊
ooh, pretty. Good job!
Even though you didn't plan on adding trim it turned out beautiful sucks there was water damage did you still sell the piece? if so how much did you get for it? If you didn't sell it because of the water damage it would be nice to donate it to a family in need it would make someone very happy and you could use it as a tax write off....
I love the way the piece turned out it is beautiful...
Beautiful piece
Thank you!!

Hi! I just found your channel and im really excited to start flipping some pieces! If you don't mind me asking, how much net profit before taxes do you bring in per year doing this? I live in a HCOL so I'm trying to get creative while managing my existing eBay clothing resale business
Is the poplar still holding up?? It’s the most affordable option for me
Abby how come you didn't paint the base ? just wondering
I love your videos...what brand black did you use ..so beautiful.. especially with the base🥰👍
Behr cabinet paint in the color “black” thank you!
@@flippedbyabby ☺️
hey, you wanna get married? lol also its much safer to use a table saw and create a tapering jig for the legs....lots of love from Australia
Did you cut the angle on bottom of back feet or are they straight. Also i know you said the side pieces of frame can be straight or angled cut; what did you do on this
why no angled legs on the rear ?
Can you explain if you had to angle your base sides?
Yes, I did angle it!
Did you use pine on the base you built ?
Nevermind I heard you say popular
I can't get behind scripted voice over after-the-fact narration. It never quite works, even on channels with millions of subs. Talking naturally to the camera while you work is so much more engaging and easy to follow. Mustie1 style > Nile Red style. Love your channel though and would marry.
I really appreciate this feedback!! I've been getting away from the voiceovers and try just talking to the camera now if you've noticed in my newer videos! It's just a skill to get comfortable on camera like that
"even on channels with millions of subs" it works for some people then
New here. I don't mind narration over video. Imo, it explains easier while showing in depth what's going on with the teaching. I'm brand new to furniture flipp'in but I'm loving it and am excited about learning tips and tricks to change the look of older pieces in more modern look. Of course I'm not talking about changing antique pieces. But modernizing others some possibly ugly vintage though. Glad I found your channel. New sub here. 😀
Ps. After I found you, going back to older videos to pick up your background story. 👍
Native floridian here though moved to NE Alabama on Lookout mountain in 2015. It got oo crowded and I was tired of all the humidity and heat in FL after 50 yrs. Lol Lovin' the mountains.
@@DonnaRatliff1 thank you so much for following along!!! I think the trick is a combination of both talking to the camera and voice! I agree it’s easier to learn by showing the clip while explaining at the same time!
