“Now we are free, I will see you again, but not yet, not yet” that ending sent shivers down my spine when I watched the movie.
The original was sung by Lisa Gerrard, she has a very unique voice.
And Hans Zimmer is the GOAT when it comes to soundtracks/symphonic/classical soundtracks!

I have to be honest, I've watched Lisa Gerrard live version on youtube but I think this version is far superior.

Hans Zimmer live is an incredible experience. I wish you to get the chance be there.
I also suggest you watch the last Samurai medley version of the 2022-2023 European tours. It is out of this world. The opening of that tour (House Atreides) was the most epic opening I have ever experienced.
Time is also something else and an all time classic from Hans.
Man of steel medley was a really pleasant surprise.
But literally in every song they have incredible atmosphere and performance . I still can't get over that I had to miss my chance going 2nd time.
Thanks for reacting guys. I had a feeling you would enjoy it. It's different class, and Hans Zimmer turns everything he touches to gold. He's brilliant. Now just imagine a collaboration where Hans Zimmer and Mark Knopfler create a film score. That would be worth hearing 🙂

Hard to beat Lisa Gerrard, but this young lady sure gave it a mighty fine treatment. And to see Hans Zimmer, the maestro, right in the middle of it all, won a chef's kiss. Speaking of which...Mr. Zimmer has a marvelous Masterclass where he discusses creating film music, like this. Highly recommended. Danny Elfman also teaches film music there. Santana, guitar, Ringo, drums, Penn & Teller, magic, and so on.

I listen to music like this and watch the musicians playing it and I feel like I've wasted my life. 😀
I can relate in ways but don’t let yourself feel like life has been or is a waste. Try to see it as i have which is to reinvigorate the meaning in life by trying to learn more, share knowledge, share this music, help others and try to better our world. This is what music reinvigorates in me besides the fact it is utterly beautiful and complete immersive joy to listen to and behold in equal measure
Beautiful music but Lisa Gerrard’s original just has a particular timbre that elevates it. She doesn’t use language when she sings (most of the time). Her music with Dead Can Dance is worth a listen.
What an amazing song and voice, hans zimmer truly is the best film composer of all time. I saw him live twice and he is just wonderfull. I highly recommend you reacting to hans zimmer live pirates of the carrebian medley. You will see how amazing tina guo is, the electric cellist. My favorate live video of hans zimmer and his band.
