I agree people should be able to live in their vehicles as long as they are respectful and don’t litter and trash that area they live in. I also think it’s important that they move around and don’t stay in the same spot day after day after day. That’s when it poses a problem with local neighbors.

It shouldn't just be a right to sleep in your vechicle...it should be for safety. I know road fatigue....sometimes you just need to stop and be safe behind the wheel. It is not as scary when your eyes are drooping...it is when you open them up and have no idea how long they were closed. I will take a ticket before I risk someone elses life because of a rule.

Hi Allison! I know right where that park and ride is! I lived in Encinitas for 39 years :) I moved to Ohio in 2006, but do go back to visit friends in Cali from time to time. I lived maybe a mile from there, take La Costa Avenue, right on Saxony, then a Left on Quail Hollow! Love, Cynthia

I’m just starting my van build. I need the bed frame done and then I can get started. Hopefully the weather will continue to improve in Connecticut so I can get into some of the state parks. I’m not really worried about sleeping in my van. Its the “newness” of it. You give great advice on where to park at night. I’ve been taking notes.

I've been considering van life for a while I work and my biggest worry is being able to find parking in the city on a daily bases and being stealth enough to pull it off. Try and see if you can pay for parking at someone’s house. Then during the day go to a park… I’ve been doing a study on van life for 5 plus years now and have actually given advice to other nomads based on the knowledge I have obtained through the years. Good luck!

I watched your video on finding a place to sleep up in Temecula near a ball field/park. You used ioverlander to find this place. I went to ioverlander's website but did not see a place to put in info on finding a place to sleep 🤥 If you could elaborate more on how I would find a place to sleep using ioverlander?

Genes have a lot do do with wrinkles. I use Cover Girl foundation, blush, compact face powder, eye shadow and eyebrow pencil. No special skin routine. I'm 71 and few wrinkles.

In my area it is expressly forbidden to camp in your vehicle or sleep overnight in your vehicle at a park and ride. Ok to sleep during the day I guess though 🤔 I guess you can just take your chances sometimes...

Are those laws specific to a particular type of vehicle? Does it specify RVs? After all, RV of all classes are made for at least temporary dwelling. They are mobile homes not just "vehicles." I'm curious to know how the laws are worded. 🤔 Thanks for sharing!
Virtually all such "laws" are Unconstitutional. Overturned by courts on a regular basis.
Attempting to learn all the time. I was surprised you don’t have the option for shore power. I was also surprised you are able to use a microwave. Is there a reference you can refer me to to understand power? I’ve seen Bluettti and Jackery. How does one know how much power needed for various outputs? What is a good elevation to not need AC for comfortable sleeping?

as a former truck driver i was able to sleep in my rig so it doesnt make any sense that your not allowed to sleep in your car..when you get drowsy behind the wheel its best to pull over and get some rest..i know from experience of 20+ yrs of otr driving..would the cops rather have you drive drowsy and cause a crash or get pulled over and get a ticket for reckless driving?..also know from experience..need to change this stupid law(s)

I agree that you should try to look good. Some van lifers look like they live in a car/van or even outside and they don't have to. Dingy T shirts, ratty looking pants, unkempt hair, etc. You look great!

Have you ever had anyone try to break into your car at night?
I have. Totally shocked the wannabe intruder when I yelled "hey". He hesitated for more than a few seconds then took off running. So slow I could have gotten dressed and chased him down. This was in a place with 24 hour surveillance cameras.

@@emilyjea I heard the reception for hotspots are spotty and that’s why ppl have 3-4 units from different carriers. Are you on the road, Emily? What do you use? Tina (Tina’s the Outsider) just changed from a hotspot to a bigger “mobile” device. I’m waiting to see how it travels.

My husband and I may be forced to live in our car for a short time (maybe a month or 2). We have a chevy cobalt..small car, so we know it will be a challenge to say the least. I am in my 60's and we are both disabled. My question is, how is the best way to find out where, here in Missouri, it is legal to park overnight? We do have a tent, but the few safe rv parks in this area that are safe, are way too expensive for us on a fixed income. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your videos.

I just spent time in Missouri car camping/stealth. You'll be fine if it comes to that. If your city dwelling in a car, just change up your location. Casinos, walmart, 24-hour gyms. The only place I've been run off is churches ( Don't do it)
