It can only have 5 mats total, and unless you’re using a Generaider card that can add cards as mats, I don’t see how you couldn’t stall out a couple turns to kaiju it or do something to stop it

How simpler were things almost 2 years ago compared to the current meta with Snake-Eyes, Rescue-ACE and SP: Little Knight. Or even Dinos with Xeno support and Evolzar support. Also, instead of Eldlich we have now Labrynth and Bystial/Naturia Runick lol
In the first round in the finals, shouldn't the eldlich player set an eldlixir by banishing haquiero in the gy? Why he didn't do that tho. If he's scared zeus wiping out the field that end phase, he can just activate the other cards' effect when they are sent to the gy after that and can still avoid the defeat next turn. Im sure that's a huge misplay. Someone correct me if im wrong cos ive been reaching platinum 1s and diamond 1 with eldlich

The short answer: The extra 20 cards aren't fluff. Little longer answer: In PK, everything searches for everything else. In Eldlich... well, it's real hard to brick in a deck that has so many nope cards in it.

The Eldlich Duelist came very close as he bricked during game three of grabs finals. The first two zero duels in the semi finals are peak game play. I love Eldlich so much.
I don't how duelist's logic works when they hate Eldlich and his unsearchable floodgates. But still accept the ultimate floodgate Rhongomyniad. . Let's think a while, when both of them have 1st turn without interruption. Eldlich just rely on their luck and what he draw, maybe he only get 2 floodgates, or maybe nothing, and he cannot do anything to search more useful floodgates too. In other hand, PK BA without interruption is 100% Rhongo and the opponent cannot do anything for fuckin' 4 turn. . I hate Rhongo more because they take a lot of time to set up like a person who only play solo game without friends in their life. Then don't give any chance to their opponent to play. I think Eldlich floodgates is better. Because you still have chance to play or remove the floodgates, like when Eldlich vs Swordsoul. The Swordsoul still can remove the floodgates with their cards, imagine if it Rhongo.
Elfish is annoying and takes no set up and is all traps basically, Rhongo takes a LOT if set up and the plays can be interrupted, that and you can legit wait out the rhongo

Do you ever read the grass?
You build around it using different ratios of things, and combine that with any innate draw power and searchers.
