For anybody who seems to be a bit too UNfamilar with Thai music OR
not enough. THIS music has chinese AND thai sounds.
Why, because at some Thai music we DO use for example the chinese guzheng (its a instrument that you also hear in this music) and thai music does not always only have ONE specific tone is always the same instruments. As Thailand also has influences from india and china ,we DO have music that is somewhat a MIX of Thai-chinese OR Thai-indian sounds (and im only speaking of instrumental music).
So, if you ever hear music that does have clearly chinese instruments in it, dont automatically assume it can only be chinese music (or buddhist chinese music). It not always is, especially if you are familiar with other asian sounds that you might HEAR in music that ALSO but not only, has chinese sounds in it. Mostly its mixed and then comes from a certain country.
People could easily mistake this for chinese only music but it isnt (and im familar with this music as i am Half Thai half chinese, i grew up with it and i know a few musicans from thailand who make exactly this type of music ,instrumental ofcourse, and most of them do mix especially Thai with chinese and indian sounds, so)

this is Chinese music
This is Chinese Buddhist music, not Thailand music
NOT actually correct. Thailand uses for example ,the Guzheng (a chinese instrument) to make music too. Just not always.
We also do not have exactly only ONE specific music type here, it depends on the region of the country and music can vary , and since we have over 10 Million Chinese ethnic people and second most would be lao and indian people who , for the most part,
live in thailand since many generations already ,theyr music type more or less came to thailand too. Thai music can be EITHER just Thai without other influence, OR its Thai music that is a MIX of thai-chinese and thai-indian instrumental sounds.
OR (and this would not be actual thai music anymore ,BUT we do have that music in thailand) it is straight up original music from india or china.
THIS music (from the video) is a mix of thai AND chinese sounds.
I am Half Thai half Chinese and familar with any type of thai and chinese music from different Regions in the country , specifically with sounds (when it comes to entire instrumental music) ,so yeah. As i said.
And by the way (this last text here has nothing to do with the music from the video)
ANY buddhist music (which is mainly either from india or china)
is still part of most countries in southeast asia. Even if the origin of the music is not from anywhere in southeast asia, it is still part of our Cultures. Because our countries (most of southeast asia) are all buddhist countries.
Except indonesia and the philippines, as those 2 countries are (majority) not buddhist.
Remember that Thailand follows Theverada buddhism and it isn't interested in music much which is opposite to Mahayana buddhism that uses music in chanting. In Thevarada monasteries, monks are banned to listen music or dance...
Feel more Chinese instrumental not so Thai at all.
I’m Thai. Honestly this is not Thai music. I’m pretty sure this is Vietnamese music and not Chinese as well.
This is most definitely NOT Thai. The Guzheng makes it so obvious that it's Chinese; not to mention the style of music. Music is nice, but please correct your video's title so as to not mislead people.
