please guys... A little bit of brain. These new Gibsons are worst than entry level instrument. Does anyone has the guts to say that a current production Japanese Tokai Les Paul or a Eastman made in China (either Les Paul copy model) are worst than the new Gibson line of Les Paul standard? Please answer to Your brain. Those are cheap, cheaper than ever before, well marketed instruments.

To use a chess analogy; when a player reaches a universally accepted level of excellence they are called a Grandmaster. The Grandmasters then compete to see who is the best.
As guitar playing is a subjective expression of music, there isn't a competition for the best. Can we all agree that Mr Koch is without doubt a 'Grandmaster'?
'Gristlemaster' is the word you're looking for.
It's that one level to which (besides Greg) no one's ever really gone.

Greg is probably one of the Best Guitarist in the World today. He can do anything with a guitar and his attitude makes him that much enjoyable. When a man loves his work he excels at it an Greg is a Great example of it !

What I absolutely love about Greg Koch is how he can make guitarist crack up laughing at his playing...because it just takes you by surprise and is so crazy and like you've never heard before, you just crack up laughing. He caught Lee several times. I gotta try one of these guitars.

Greg is the best! It's outright scary what he can do on the guitar and it all seems to be completely effortless.
Of all the guitar players in the known universe, Greg has the absolute best gear. Everything with his seal of approval is over the top great stuff. It's well thought out. Every feature serves a purpose, and everything works for the player. Not to mention that it all sounds fantastic. *APPLAUSE HERE*

Great interview as always Lee! Greg is an amazingly talented guitarist (saw him many years ago at a clinic and he's the reason I got a Fender Cyber Twin) and even funnier dude. He did a demo CD for Fender’s 50 year amp anniversary book. He plays through a ton of vintage and reissue amps. His chops are insane and he is hysterically funny.

loved this interview i've still got some of his teaching cd's i think i bought them from Andertons 1990'ish or there abouts. They were how to play SRV songs and his teaching was really easy to follow on the cd's. Love watching him play he's truly brilliant and a great musician. Id stopped playing for over a decade and wanted to pick it up again a year or so ago and couldn't remember a lot of the SRV stuff then remembered i still had those cd's tucked away and got it all back again thanks to those. How i'd love to play like him he makes it all look so effortless.

I had a Wildwood 1959 10 radius seafoam green I had try to sell earlier with nothing but people wanting to lowball me. I spent a hour or so searching demo vids and was surprised he had played that guitar and featured it on YT vid. I added that piece of information on the guitar's description and it sold that week.

What makes Greg Koch an amazing interview his unlimited vocabulary and his spot on hilarious observations of the absurdity of life. In the midst of it, he rips guitar necks to shreds. It’s also what makes him entertaining in his own in the Wildwood videos where he has no one play off of and it still feels like you’re watching a dialogue. Not your average dude.

Collin Hoffman those are strong words seeing as how The Captain has interviewed some mighty talented players.
Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert. Those sir are some big talents. Not counting Danish Pete and Rabea as they are always on the channel, but they too are players of prodigious talent. Is Mr Koch the best? Maybe, maybe not. But good God can he play!!! This is the subject for an old fashioned bar room debate. Can’t look this up on the Google. It would take much discussion and many pints to solve this.

I got to see and meet Greg Koch last year in Tampa, Florida at Replay Guitar. Amazing guitar player and funny great guy.
