- Sweet Tutorials by Rosa gives her step-by-step guide to making a lovely baby carriage cake. In this two-part video tutorial learn how to make a baby carriage from a round cake. This cake was made by using 12" round cake. Cut out and remove 1/4 piece creating the baby carriage shape. From the rounded side cut 2 circles for the wheels. Ice the cake with thin layer of white buttercream. With tip #18 place basket wave on the sides and top. I used pale pink buttercream but you can use a unisex scheme of yellow, aqua and green to cover both newborn-gender possibilities. A medium consistency buttercream works better. To create other piped textures use pastry tips such as star #16, rounds #5-8, and petal #104. Use fondant to make a handle. Cute fondant flowers is all that's needed to get that perfect finish. Make the perfect treat for baby showers, first birthdays and more. Part 2: • Baby Carriage Cake - P... . Support this channel by subscribing & sharing.
