Went to Starbucks last week and bought two small ice coffees for $9. It is insane what they charge and why customers stopped going. We went to Dunkin for two coffees and a box of Munchkins for the same price.
Similarly, I was in a pinch and went to McD for a two cheeseburger meal. They charged me $13. I can go to a sit down restaurant and get real food. Lower income families are priced out and higher income will simply go to better places. These greedy corporations deserve the beating they are getting. Most people who have bad experience will simply not ever go back.
Powell is not an economist and he has no clue what he is doing. Just like most Trump appointees. He was way too late to hike and way too late to cut. We should have had cuts since March. Now he is risking waiting too long for things to crap out before cutting way too much abruptly. Hoping someone talks some sense into him and we get cuts this month.

Places like Starbucks and McD both got so greedy raising prices until customers stopped coming back. If only they could focus on actually running their businesses more efficiently instead of robbing customers.

I'm sorry for first-time homebuyers who could never afford to buy one in the first place. I have no sympathy for first-time homebuyers who could afford it but decided to hold off because they believed the market was collapsing and was now priced out.

Even now, the real estate market is largely local.
Prices in different cities do not correspond to one other.

Seems like all the future Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft’s of the world are getting half of their earliest growth in these days in private markets before IPO’ing as large to mega caps, or if you’re lucky enough to invest in a small cap IPO that takes off it ends up getting acquired before it could become a hyper scaler.

One of the other reasons for the 10% change in champagne sales at LVMH is gen z’s relationship with alcohol. Percentage of people in that demographic drinking regularly is down significantly from millennials/boomers

Josh said that risk free return on interest is inflationary.
Well cutting rates would also be inflationary.
The only option left is to tax the people who have too much money. That is, tax corporations and billionaires. Remove money from the sloshing pool.

You guys blew it at the end. Love The Compound and Friends, but you totally could’ve tied Coca-Cola back to the Ozempic theory. I can’t take credit for this because it was Cramer that I heard it from first, Coca-Cola makes Fairlife one of the most filtered and purified protein substances there are on the market. This goes hand-in-hand with the diet of somebody on Ozempic as they need to intake more protein and quality protein. You missed the mark on that one.
