I got a say, Josh seems like a really supportive boss, he’s always doing things for his employees and talking up how much he likes the podcast Michael and Ben do.
Yes. You shouldn't do anything before, during,or after the election. Just keep buying per usual. And holding. Jack Bogle pleaded w/me 30yrs ago. It works. Perfectly. Always. If you have enough time. He changed my life.
Another amazing episode thx I also would love to see Maria B. on the show so much. CNBC personalities and contributors are my personal favorites on TCAF. Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone 🇺🇸
Cynthia Lo Bessette. Head of digital asset management @ Fidelity said the new products should provide increased choice for investors who want to engage with crypto. I think it is a great change.
To answer your question, The decision on when to pick an Adviser is a very personal one. I take guidance from ‘Jennifer mackimm wesley ‘ to meet my growth goals and avoid mistakes, she's well-qualified and her page can be easily found on the net.
This format rocks. Can I buy in with leverage? I learned too much. I’m thinking everything in our culture is now a leveraged gamble. Oh, let me dial in the latest college football game and watch a million dollar quarterback take me back to my own amateur youth- where dreams were dreams and the pot of gold was a symbol of achievement. Are the incentives now the same? Keep it real and keep going deeper…😊
Happy birthday Duncan. Mag 7 are too big to fail. They are making all the money and stand to benefit from AI the most. I still think AAPL is undervalued because you will always need a device to access AI. I also believe that AI will show up on the bottom line more than the top. Companies will slash payroll and won’t replace employees who leave. Jensen is right. The way we interact with computers will completely change in the near future.
Another great episode - education for us retail traders with the most honest talk about what is really going on. Thank you. In the future, when you are discussing the chart, please leave the chart up lfor us to absorb the information whilst you are explaining & discussing the chart. Thank you.
@16:34 Josh hits it 100% on the head. Its utterly ridiculous with people saying “THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STOCK IN THE MARKET AND THE MOST IMPORTANT EARNINGS REPORT “ need to stop 😂😂😂
I’m a smaller retail trader that bought NVDA bigly on the dip. If I’d have sold yesterday I’d have a good chunk of that capital on put spreads somewhere. Definitely wouldn’t have just went back into BOXX
$1000 invested since 1953 to 2024..... grows to 1.6 million. i would be dead halfway in that timeframe. Also, do companies grow as fast as they did during the last century?
A friend of mine hammers another buddy for holding TQQQ long term, but the decay's not bad. It's not quite 3x over the long term but maybe 2.5x not bad. Over the long term certainly has beaten the stocks the friend who was critical of ultras has bought.
AI has maxed out its data center infrastructure. 7 years to get power agreements to build new data centers. Bitcoin miners $HUT & $IREN have this infrastructure in place right now. They are there to fill the gap. Bitcoin miners are very undervalued.
Min 36:35 The only thing I hope is I don't hear any bank analyst saying we are reaching a nirvana state of the economy for stocks on Bloomberg. Last two times I heard it the market dropped 10/15%. Last time was in August 2023 and we have been bleeding till October previous time was in mid August 2022 and pretty much the same happened. By the way guys you know the party is gonna finish sometimes right? Expect higher taxes from 2025 going on, whoever will be elected.
Hi, big UPRO/TQQQ hodler here. The key is to pile up new cash and then be buying them when every ounce of your body is screaming *no!* Then you just gotta white knuckle it a while. I know I'll have to delever at some point. If I'm lucky, the Fed might ring the bell at the top, like late 2021... or maybe I won't be so lucky, and have to figure it out myself. 🤷🏻
Recovering nicely after the worst times to invest is good news but I'd like to have seen how long that takes. Irrelevant perhaps if one is in their twenties and thirties but more relevant for those in their 50's and 60's. A lost decade in one's 60's strikes me as a big deal.
The fear of levered ETF’s by finance entertainment like this pod is disengenuinous. Holding a small portion of UPRO is no more “risky” than trying to stock pick the next winner, which is the entire charade for this genre.
I am nervous with all this complacency and jolly old banter at all time highs in every sector with people getting laid off all around me. “Real” jobs being phased out for crappy part time gigs with no benefits. But all is good…we can make cool cat videos with AI gadgets!! Buffet sitting on cash. Uhmmm
Hey josh& mike love your show i am a deep dive reasearcher long term dca with only 3 stocks at this time I have been in market since july 1980. I wanted to share with you one of my stocks is sofi in for 3 plus years it is about to short squeeze check out the pop and i believe it will go up 1 or 2 dollars any time? But i dont trade unless its like a tesla like barbolic move? Have fun if you want short term move.
27:59 NVidia hasn't been in consoles since forever, they thought it was too low margin business and AMD did it when they were struggling and are still doing it now. Yeah, Nvidia is in the Nintendo Switch, but how much of those have sold compared to Xbox and PlayStation?
@@crohmer hahaha its not that bad. Its a fun movie. Has its moments. Basically a recreation of superbad for today’s kids. Cant watch it expecting a serious piece of art.
Thing is, the levered products seem to work over the very short term, and long term. In the medium term they can get very messy. For example, UPRO v SPY at portfolioviz: Portfolio Growth $10,000 invested in January 1, 2015 would be worth $77,329 as of August 31, 2024, which represents a cumulative return of 673.29%. Over the same period, the benchmark would be worth $32,463, which represents a cumulative return of 224.63%. So over 10 years, the triple levered ETF performs nearly to the dollar. All over the place at times, but the long run is the long run.

Another great show, with great guests and absolutely fabulous and informative charts especially towards the end of the show. Thanks, Josh and Michael!
1:03:12 one of the best charts 📊 “I’m not doing anything until the election” I’ve heard last 4 elections, not a good strategy.

1:18:34 can you add everyone's favorites to the podcast description? They're always hard to find
I wish it never split. It created a “gaming” vs investing.
AAPL is behind on innovation. So they have to invest in OpenAi

Gas prices is lower because the SPR has been supplementing it?
My Cousin Vinny reference. This is why DTJB is the GOAT.

They have 6 trillion in money markets lower interest rates things will melt up if they cut to much it will look for new assets to put into faster

How can you say that leveraged ETFs are money incinerators when TQQQ, QLD, UPRO, SSO have outperformed the market by dozens or hundreds of times.
Rates don’t need to go too low.
