- Hello everyone! Now i finished this long video with the awesome Subaru Impreza 555 with Pure engine sounds in action.
The video was very long ... about 18min and I was forced to "short" it in 9min and 50 sec. I hope you like it and first of all vote and comment!

I see a lot of videos claiming to be rally "tributes" and such, but they ruin them with music. thank you for understanding that the songs of our people are tires squealing, exhaust and turbo sounds, gravel flying, fans screaming, and pace notes being spouted. anyone who puts music in their rally video is not the fan they say they are. you win.
I hope Subaru will return in WRC !!

by rally engine of all time? That would go to either the audi quattro or the lancia stratos. Best sounding rally engine in group A? st205 celica.

Nothing quite like seeing Mr. mcrae in a 22b bodied wrc spec'd sti. The man was imprezive to say the least.
Amazing spits bangs and flames from one of the best cars in rallying, pre restricted the Impreza was tested as having 365 bhp at the end of 1993! Fact!!!! Only Mitsubishi had more with a massive 385!!!

More than 500 my friend, the Audi Quattro e2 had 550 and the Lancia delta s4 with the most at 596 bhp from its twin charged Abarth engine, yet the most successful group b car of them all!!! the Peugeot t16 Evo 2 only had 480 bhp 😉

Impreza has 4 wheel drive and traction control, one of the first cars to use that tech.

Does anyone no what the pipe exiting the sill behind the front left wheel is??? I'm guessing it's a breather pipe but ive never seen anything like this even on much higher compression engines! Took me a long time to even notice it!!! But it blows hard at high revs and it's on every gc8 Impreza!

splutters is nothing to do with the boxer layout, it is anti-lag. scoobylow down grunt & rumble is also due to unequal exhaust manifold, not just flat 4.

i can tell a scooby sound from any other car
which means there is a big difference there.
that difference is not antilag cos lots of rallycars have that.
i do reckon the exhaust must be different somewhere so yeh maybe the manifold plays some part in the unique noise. my friend has a wrx 360bhp so i will ask him and i will tell ya ok.
@TheAndo1990 I have a brand new CD deck in mine that rarely gets used because yes the boxer sound is like sex and secondly it usually drowns the music every time I hit the gas

just to make a point, ken block doesn't drive rwd, everything he drives is 4wd (and even though its hard to admit it he is a decent driver, not as good as mcrae and the other legends but he never claims to be.... stop hating on the guy because he's somewhere you're not)
however if you saw the video of him attempting to drift a rear wheel drive car you would piss yourself in laughter.

Apart from the fact that your english is as broken as Ken Blocks rally car was after his first WRC stint, you're making a valid point when it comes to him trying to attract a larger audience to rally, but to make money? no. He's rich enough as it is with DC Shoes as backbone. However; drifting in a sports sense is RWD, yes, but traditionally and by definition 'automobile drifting' is going sideways in a vehicle no matter what kind of drivetrain. It's another word for powersliding. Look it up.
